Stylish and comfortable fun ride!

I purchased this previously owned vehicle as a second car. It was showroom quality from bumper to bumper, inside and out. It looks, feels and drives like a brand new car. The price was quite reasonable too. Great purchase, I love it!

Great daily driver for a sales guy

I looked on cars.com for a few months before deciding on a Certified Pre-Owned Nissan Altima SV. The main reason is because being in 'Sales' I spend quite a bit of my day driving around Central New York and North PA. I have owned four Nissans previous to this one, but most recently spent a few years in a VW Passat. Bottom line is that the VW was more 'fun' to drive, but with every visit to the service department running about $400 (this happened more and more with age), it was time for a change. The Altima is not over-powered, but it is easy to drive, the ride is relatively-quiet, solid, and when driving long-distances at highway speeds... The 4 Cylinder engine Offers between 35 - 37 MPG. This is good news for me because I drive a LOT. The only drawback for me is that there is NO lumbar support available in the S or SV trim levels. You need to bump up to the SL to get this option. Bottom line is that I like the car more than I thought I would and have had no mechanical issues which were not covered under the CPO warranty. Okay, it's not the most exciting car to drive, but if you need reliable day-to-day transportation to rack up lots of miles in - this may be your next ride. Two years into ownership of this pre-owned vehicle and I'm still smiling.

Most Reliable Car I've Owned.

I myself have owned many Nissans over the years and have loved all of them. They are very reliable and need very little repairs. Three other family members have owned different models of Nissans and found them all to be reliable

2013 Nissan Altima 2.5 S

I have driven this car for about 30,000 miles now, so I figured I would write a long-term review of my 2013 Altima. I had done my research before buying this car and looked at several cars, including the Sonata, Optima, Camry, and the Altima. The Altima was the comfiest out of the four, and was the clear-cut winner in the fuel economy battle thanks to the CVT. I'll start the review with the CVT because it seems like it is the hottest topic with the car. I had never driven a car with a CVT before and there is definitely an adjustment period. I seem to find the transmission a little jumpy and it sort of feels like a regular shifting transmission that is about to fail, but it is normal. If you are used to CVT transmissions, then you should like this one. It is a pretty decent one and it will get the most out of the car. Exterior and interior styling is elegant but not flashy. The interior is laid out very nicely, and easy to use and get used to. The ride is smooth and balanced. Plenty of power for a naturally aspirated four cylinder engine. It performs great no matter what you put in front of it, whether it be a long trip or a cruise down some back roads. If compared with other cars, this is on the cheaper end because there's so darn many of them on the road so it offers good value. I gave this car two stars in "reliability" because of some electrical problems I encountered recently. I went out to start my car one morning, and it wouldn't turn over. I had AAA come out and jump it and all seemed well, no issues. It happened again about a month later, and again AAA had to come out, jump it and get it going. I brought it to my mechanic to find out what was going on as I had no issues starting it before. After about a day with it, he said that there was a glitch with Nissan's computer that sometimes the computer will malfunction and make it so that the car won't fully shut off, thus draining the battery. If you don't start it in time it will die and you have to get it jumped. This will keep happening until you restart the computer. You never know if it malfunctions, there are no warning signs so it will just die randomly. Not sure if this is an issue with just my car, and when I asked Nissan Service about it, they basically just gave me a non-answer and said there was nothing they could do. Very frustrating to say the least and I'm thinking about trading it in because of it, but it hasn't happened again in months so I will keep trucking until it happens again. Three strikes and you're out Nissan! Electrical/computer issues notwithstanding this is a really solid choice as a commuter and a good daily driver. If you want a "point-A-to-point-B" appliance like a Camry, you should consider the Altima because it gets better gas mileage, is a sportier ride, and has more attractive styling inside and out.
