2013 Altima SV Awesome car!

I was looking for a Maxima and after looking at the 2013 Altima, my mind changed. The '13 has the look and options of the Maxima at about $10,00 + less money. The features on the basic are more than basic...only having front speakers and lacking even just basic options. the S has a few more options but the SV has all the options I wanted and I received a great discount from my dealer, bringing the price to the same as the S version. Super black on black is great...only downfall is the seats show every little crumb! But thats easily taken care of with a sticky roller! Performance is awesome with the sport drive mode and new transmission. Well worth the money...nothing compares...if your look at a Mazda 6 or a comparable car, look to the Altima!!

2013 Altima 3.5 SL - Poor Man's Maxima

I wanted to buy a Maxima with all the bells and whistles, but even with the VPP supplier discount I was way over budget. I then drove the 2013 Altima 3.5 SL and was blown away with the comfort, performance and value. Nissan claims they will sell nine 2.5s for every one 3.5, but I found the 2.5 noisy and non-responsive at the high end. The 3.5 was smooth and seemed to perform better than the 270 HP that they claim. I added the tech package and most of the "port installed" options, and still came in at UNDER $30K with my VPP discount. I don't know how Nissan can offer this much car for so little money, but I am glad they did. This is my first Nissan, but it won't be my last.

impressive

We recently purchased the 2013 Nissan Altima 2.5SL We recently owned a 2010 Buick Lacrosse which we loved, the Altima meets or exceeds our expectations. After much consideration of buying a new Lacrosse or Altima, there was really no question on which vehicle was the better deal. The Altima for the money, comfort and all the bells and whistle was the car for us. The seats are as others have said are very comfortable. Great value, great car. Loving it!!

Wonderful car

Bought a new 2013 Altima SV couple of weeks ago and enjoying it thoroughly. Outstanding car, very comfortable smooth power delivery and very responsive throttle. Getting 40-41 MPG on the highway 30-31 for my mixed commute (which equals or is better than that of many small cars!). Some people have reported "vague" steering but I experienced no problems at all -- if I release the wheel on flat straight stretch, the car stays in the lane for a good long while. When you accelerate hard, you do hear the engine revving up but I find that reassuring and not bothersome. There is no noise when accelerating more gently. This is the first automatic I've owned and I find the CVT wonderfully smooth and responsive. Lots of nice touches, e.g. after turning off the engine power is still available to close the windows!

Great except steering

We recently leased a 2013 Nissan Altima, 2.5SV and it is, for the most part, an outstanding car with many improvements from the 2009 that we had previously. The ride is great, the features are impressive, the engine has great pickup and the gasoline mileage of 28 City and 38 Highway seems to be accurate. The car would be a dream except for one flaw. At highways speeds (65+) the car gets ?squirrely.? It wanders off of the straight course and requires constant correction of the steering wheel to keep it on a straight path. If you do all of your driving under 65 MPH, this is a great car ? buy it. But, if not, make sure that you test drive one at highway speeds and determine if you can live with the constant battle to keep it going straight. It just wears me out on a 3-hour trip. Multiple trips to the dealership have not resolved the issue. They said that we must ?just get used to it.?

Most quite and comfortable car from Nissan

2013 Nissan Altima is hands down the best car in it's class. My wife and I cannot be happier... We always have had 2 Cars Leased every 3 years and owned many cars Nissan, Toyota, Honda..., but this car after months driving, all we can say WOW and really best, and even better than some of higher class models.

Sleek and Stylish

The 2013 Nissan Altima SL has all the bells and whistles you could want at a reasonable price. The back up camera, the moving object detection, and the lane warning system all work well. The parking assist is great in the city.
