My first all wheel drive sedan
I now have 20,000 miles on my AWD altima. I have the SL trim. I'm into my second winter. The AWD system has performed as good as any of my previous 5 AWD vehicles on snow using stock all season tires. Mileage has been exceptional with the 2.5L engine. Twice, it has gotten 40.0 mpg (actual measured , not computer) on long trips. The last was 1000 miles, driving the highway speeds around 70mph. Around town I consistently get 28 to 30 mpg. Acceleration seems good for a 4 cylinder. There is no trouble merging into traffic. The ride is comfortable and handling seems good for this family car. The air conditioning and heating work great. Definitely get the heated steering wheel and heated seats. They are great for winter. The stereo and computer screen work well. Oddly, it doesn't come with a CD player, so I had to adapt to putting all my music on my phone and using the bluetooth. Not a problem thus far, but a concern long term is the fact it's direct fuel injected, rather than port. The only real annoyance is the cruise control. It slows the car down as you approach another vehicle.( It's a collision avoidance feature). Unfortunately it'll also sense median barriers on windy highway roads the same way and slow the car down.

Backup camera needs upgrade
This car drives great and feels good on the road. Great acceleration, last car I had lagged a bit when gas pedal was pressed, not this car. Steering and handling are great. The only cons I have so far are a subpar backup camera and cruise control could stay on speed better, slows down 2 to 3 mph frequently and seems to struggle to get back to speed. All in all I think it is still a good value in this car, the handling, acceleration, and safety features outweigh the 2 small gripes.

Piece of crap
this car us a hunk of junk. Foam coming out by the windshield, shifts really hard, screen flickers. Oh and if you're not careful it will slip into neutral from drive if you go over a bump such as railroad tracks

2nd Nissan Altima I've Owned - Just Disappointing
I purchased my first Nissan Altima in 2016 brand new from the dealership. It had 6 recalls within the first year. I literally had to take it to the dealership 3 times for them to replace the recalled items. It eventually stopped working in 2019 and the dealership could not explain why but offered to put me in another disappointing Nissan Altima at full price. This time it is the 2019. I live in a desert climate and the a/c is useless on triple digit temperature days. Again I took it to the dealership and their reply is unfortunately that is just the way the car works. The only positive has been the gas mileage. My advice to anyone is buy the Toyota/Honda competitor vehicles and save yourself the long-term repair costs if you plan to keep the vehicle longer than 3 years.

Not the most comfortable to drive
Love the looks of the car, but it's really low to the road making it a little difficult to get in and out of. The seats are not really comfortable for long drives. It's kind of a dog as far as acceleration goes. And, the touch screen navigation system frequently doesn't work
