2005 Nissan Frontier consumer reviews

I love my Frontier. i bought it brand new, its great in snow and rain. But its very light so it can fishtail easily. It doesnt have good gas mileage but thats okay with me because i love the power it has.

The 2005 NISSAN Frontier, Xterras, and Pathfinders all have faulty engineering with the radiators getting fluid in the automatic transmissions. BEWARE because NISSAN won't recall them. You will have a $5000 repair bill trying to fix the problem. Look it up online and see for yourself.

I purchased am 05 nissan frontier nismo 4x4. i had problems with overheating issues from the get go. I had to change out most of the cooling system and still i had overheating. Come to find out that there is a recall in the catalytic converter [frontier has 4] that the dealership will not honor. Any ideas on this issue will be appreciated

I bought my nissan 2005 back in 2006, and while this car was new it was great but this type the car will have a transmission problem when will hit 100k or more, This because usually the radiator will leak into the transmission, that will cost you 8k, then the fuel unit also has a problem, and the catalytic converter, the timing belt also. I am just happy that i sold my Nissan and I will never buy a Nissan because all these problem are defects in the fabrication and they refuse to recall the parts that cause these issues. I,ve owned 4 other new Nissan pickups. They were great. I thought everything was geat on this 2005 Frontier with the V-6. Good power, decent mileage. I took the vehicle into the dealer for a recall. The dealer went out of their way to do this work as I had approx. 86,000 easy miles on it. You can only imagine my surprise when upon doing a courtesy vehicle check, they advised me that I needed new engine mounts and should replace the secondary overhead cam timing chains at a cost of about $3,000 dollars. You can bet that this my last Nissan of any kind.

the frontier drove and preformed just as you would expect a sport utility to .great feel of the road very responsive,brakes,stearing.over all a enjoyable truck.

I bought my 05 with 90,000 miles I have 140,000 on it now and I got to say its the best car i've ever owned. I thought about selling it awhile back but i just can't seem to find anything better out there. I Love the power and stability of it. I do think the brakes are a little small and the ride height would be awesome if it were just a little higher. engine is powerful and very reliable never had to do anything but regular maintenance and thats saying a lot cause I'm very rough on cars.

I bought my 05 king cab brand new and have never wanted for more. I have taken it across the USA and it still runs and looks as good as the day I pulled it off the factory floor. I've towed water toys, taken it offroad, it never flinched. awesome midsize, good gas mileage still get compliments on what a sweet truck this is. Wish I could afford to keep it :(

i bought this truck for around 15000 which was under book and it had some problems but it was all covered under warranty. After it got fixed is when the truck started to show its true self.It handles like a car which is one of the best things iv noticed.iv pulled trails on long hauls the truck never showed sign of any struggle.iv taken this truck off road and the only time i got stuck was when i was up over the bumpers and i have just street tires.For the money and how reliable the truck is you cant beat it. great truck over all just wish the interior had more comfort.I would buy an other one any day of the week
