Gas fumes

Shortly after we got the vehicle we started smelling gas fumes. We were told by the dealership that Nissan has been aware of this for over a year and doesn’t have a fix. Ridiculous for a new car instead of the new car smell you get the smell of gasoline. 🤮 also, the dealership we bought the vehicle from stripped out the oil drain plug on the first oil change these vehicles have a plastic oil pan. We also noticed the vehicle burns oil. We use about a quart of oil every thousand miles ridiculous our old Kia Sorrento that we sold at 192,000 miles on it never burned a drop of oil we never had a problem would not recommend by anything else customer service from Nissan sucks they pretty much tell you we’re working on it

Very Happy

I have a 2023 Rogue Platinum FWD. So far, I'm averaging 38+MPG in mixed driving. I have read a lot of the negative reviews, many about the CVT transmission, engine knocking and gas smell in the interior. I'm not saying that those issues are not happing, merely saying that I'm not experiencing those issues. Over the years, I've owned or leased both foreign and domestic cars and have had some problems with several of them with the Japanese made vehicles being mainly trouble free. Many of the negative reviews concern things such as uncomfortable seats, poor performance, road noise and so on. These are the type of issues while they may be an issue for the reviewer, they are issues that are subjective in nature and could be discovered with a thorough test drive. What is a problem for one may not be for another. For myself, I find that the Rogue has very good acceleration and overall performance. I have no complaints about the functioning of the CVT transmission. The seats are comfortable, the car is very quiet on the highway and my gas mileage speaks for itself. My suggestion to those considering a Rogue, don't rule it out without going to a dealership and testing it for yourself, notating the pros and cons that matter to you.

Good choice

I read the reviews and was surprised at people saying they smell gas. I haven't had that experience with mine. I won't say I love the car but I am happy with it. The seats are so comfortable and interior is stylish. My son is 6.5 and he fits in it well, better than my Rav4. The only thing I don't like is that it doesnt have much acceleration power.

Stay away from the Rogue!

Do NOT BUY THIE CAR! The gas smell is horrendous and Nissan hardly acknowledges the issue. It’s the most disappointing experience ever! Please stay away!

INHALING GAS FUMES

We leased a 2022 Rogue SV and after 2000 miles we smelled gas in our garage and shortly afterward we can smell it inside the car while diving our dealer is unwilling to do anything and Nissan just refers me back to the dealer. They still have no idea why it's happening STAY AWAY

Horrible and costly experience

After several months of experiencing a strong gas odor and being told by both the dealership and Nissan Corporation that it could not be fixed, we traded it in. Our Rogue only had 12k miles on it. What a horrible and costly experience.
