Great car for the money

I test drove this car and it had great pick up. Paint was a little chippy on the hood. Overall great value for the price. My daughter just happened to see another car on the lot if she wanted

2004 Grand Am GT best car ever !

I got this car Nov 05 from dealer n it was his wife?s car with 12,000 miles on it. This has been the best car I could ever ask for, no problems whatsoever, knock on wood. 13 1/2 yrs later it is still going strong. I do change oil n brakes pads on it when required n take care of it. Family keeps telling me it?s time for a new car and I keep telling them never as long as this one is still running...

Love-hate relation

I think it is horrible, but I do like older Grand Ams, I traded it for a Pontiac Torrent, I hate my Grand Am. Do not by one

Great running 134xxx mile 04 Grand AM

Thus car is very reliable in the first year that i have used it (bought 2017, 13 year old) Slight rust (fixed), radio upgraded, potentially replace headlights for better looking LEDS. Has been very reliable with only a window not opening, but was fixed by the dealer that I had purchased it from for free. I think that this car was a great deal as it was $3500 ($4000 with tax and title), had ~130,000 miles, very good condition, and VERY peppy 3.4L V6 (without RAM AIR). Love this car, the tranny is also smooth! would recommend to everyone even if it is now a 14 year old car.

the grand am is a sports car in disguise

The one i have accelerated like a police cruiser, pivoted in turns had the best air vents ever made in a car to ware they would completely stop air if closed, the engine isn't all steel so it probably isn't as durable as older cars and I don't know many miles the transmission can get, but for looking like ordinary car its a sports car and should raise the standerred for every car.

It is a good family car.

It is a good car when taken care of, its a typical gm vehicle. Its fast but nothing special, fairly reliable. Not to great on gas but it gets you from A to B.

The true beater car

This car was my second car and it was the best beater car for any occasion. I've had the v6 se model which had the 3.4 liter under the hood. It returned about 25 mpg combined and had no problem passing cars on highway. I actually drive this car in autoban and had no problem keeping up with the German vehicles. When I purchased the car it has 130k miles in decent condition. I replaced the tires, battery, spark plugs, and some fuse. The most annoying problem was the automatic window was broken but other than that this car was like a brand new car. Overall, I would buy this car again in same condition but it is too bad Pontiac is gone.

Best car I've ever owned!

Bought this car as a second owner with 44,000 miles on it exactly in 2008 when the car was 4 years old. I've put 100,000 miles on it with two cross-country trips, 6 years of college, and 4 jobs. It's dependable and at 140k miles it's still going strong. It needs semi-frequent front wheel bearing/break working, but otherwise simple oil changes and regular maintenance means it'll keep a long time.
