2005 Pontiac Montana SV6 consumer reviews

I absolutely hate this van!We bought it used and for what I paid for this thing it is horrible. I had problems with the alternator 4 days after I got it. we have had the upper intake replaced,sway bar,front and rear brakes at 65,000. We have had problems that the techs can never "duplicate". The van starts hard and they informed me that it is supposed to do that,and we have had horrible problems with the radio and sliding door.

We bought this van new, and from the first week we had it, we had problems. The horn would not work, so it was replaced, the sway bar was replaced. It took three turns to get the engine fired up , took it to the shop they said it was supposed to hard start. The sliding door either refuses to close or reopens when closed. Replaced the front brakes and had to resurface the rotors at 40,000 kms. The rear back windows have to be manually closed. The cd player refuse to go past the 7th track. The info button on the radio works periodically. The seats are uncomfortable. And the list goes on!!!!

The van is basically OK.But for what I paid I expected more than OK. It has problems trying to start when it is hot. Brakes wore out quickly and the rotors warped. I agree with the other poster that if the faric get wet with clean water, it will stain.

MY SV6 HAS BEEN IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT MORE THAN 15 TIMES. SLIDING DOORS OPENED WHILE DRIVING , THE AC WENT OUT, THE AUTOMATIC DOORS NEVER STAY SHUT AND THATS HORRIBLE WHEN IT RAINS BECAUSE THEN THE SEATS GET ALL STAINED. I HATE THIS VAN!! TRYING TO GET THE DEALERSHIP TO BUY IT BACK.

I drove a 2006 Dodge Grand caravan and then 2 montanas sv6 and they certainly out do the caravan by far in comfort handling, everything all the way around Great Van!!

This interior of this car is the worst i have ever seen or had, the van overall is very reliable but the interior cloth stains by water like a grease spot

i got the car for my wife and three kids we are always on the go it is very comfortable and gets us there in style we got it used and do not regret the purchase i love it and my wife loves it more it has great pickup and good gas milage i cant get enough of it
