Best All-Around Car I've Owned
Bought this 2009 Vibe as a dealer demo and now has 11,000 miles on it. It is the AWD model with moonroof. We have owned (we still have one Accord)Hondas for years and also have a Jaguar sedan for fun. We were a bit nervous going domestic but any fears were immediately put to bed. We needed a versatile car for work and play, including trips & room for the dog;this is it and more! It's a fun, reliable, safe, comfortable car with a ton of well-thought out features & great warrenty. The Toyota connection doesn't hurt either. Too bad GM's troubles killed this gem- it should be Car of the Year! Guess it will have to live on as the Toyota Matrix but that car doesn't look as good as the Vibe!

excellent smaller car,but not too small
1 year old and 14k miles, totally recommend, happy to see others have given it very high grades. Would like to keep for another 9 years(maybe by then 100 mpg cars so would trade in). feels good for being a smaller car. am happy it has an american name even though it is quite a bit a matrix, with the quality of toyota(but less expensive). miss the xm radio that i didn't renew after 1st year. the on star came in handy with a small accident.

We bought this because it's AWD and it's good on gas. The wife love's it cause it's hers. Bought it for her to drive me around in. Nice everything in it and about it. You just have to drive it for yourselves to see what I mean.

good bang for the buck
I trave a lot for work and was looking for a low cost, fuel efficient reliable car to get me to retirement. I went with the Vibe based on reviews by other owners and data published in Consumer Reports. I bought the 1.8 liter version for fuel economy. I the first three months of ownership I have no complaints with this vehicle. I have put 10,000 miles on it with no problems. The only drawback is that no one has mentioned is you have to go to a GM dealer for an oil change because it requires a special tool to remove the oil filter element. Because I travel so much, it is very difficult to schedule an oil change and especially when it has to be done during working hours. I normally pull into a speed lube when I have 15 minutes to spare. That is not possible with the Vibe. I have to take time away from work. I have tried several speed lubes and none had the required tool, so I either have to buy the tool, or try to schedule time at a GM dealership. A bit inconvenient.

Excellent and Enjoyable Vehicle
I purchased my 2009 Vibe GT in September 08 and now have 9,800 miles on it. All around driving averages 25.8 MPG which is mostly around town. Basically, this vehicle is a Toyota Matrix with a Pontiac Badge and is very reliable. The GT is top of the line and comes with a lot of extras, but if you add most of them to a standard Vibe, it price is about the same and I like the sound system and the 18 inch wheels that come with the Vibe GT. The vehicle is very comfortable and fun to drive. The 2.4 engine has a lot of power for this this size vehicle and is has great acceleration for passing on the highway. I am going to drive it from Fort Worth to Colorado and leave my GMC Envoy in the garage for a 2 week summer trip.

3.5years of fun
An all around winner! Several years of fun with the Vibe GT have caused me to htink twice before trading this very quick and cute beast. I've gotten as low as 28MPG when brand new and a max of 38MPG in the mountains of NH and VT. A very good choice.

Best car EVER
We purchased the Vibe 4 years ago. Now our daughter needs a reliable car and she will inherit it. Only one stipulation we will purchase the 2009 Vibe. My one and only complaint is that it did not handle well in the snow with all season radials. We took care of that with 4 snow tires and it drives like a 4x4. I recommend this car to everyone and people have purchased based on my advice. They too are happy.

It had me at Hello
After losing my beloved 2004 Dodge Neon SXT in a freak automobile accident, I was pushed into the new car market. I ended up at Pontiac, looking for something that was as cute as my Neon, and yet was a smarter, more "adult" car. The Vibe has that feel. It was irrestistable with it's mix of really sporty styling, wonderful included features like XM satellite radio and Onstar, comfort--my Neon was not a comfy car by any means and I can fit my friends, my dogs, and groceries in the car, no problem, and wonderful gas mileage. 2 days after I bought the Vibe, we took it on a road trip to Western Pennsylvania and it performed way better than expected, and we felt like we rode in style. It looks and feels very safe to me, but it's a really nimble car.The stereo is killer. This was a wonderful upgrade, plus, it'll probably save you on insurance

Reliable and handles well.
I purchased the car in April attracted by the numerous standard safety features, mileage and convenience. It handles well on the road and on a recent long trip on a rain swept highway handled great. Water did not seem to bother the suspension and it handled like a much larger car. I purchased the stick with power features and air. I have had no issues and no reason to go back to the dealer for any adjustment. The only issue with it is it is difficult to see when backing up. Since my son will be driving it most days and he has a history in back up meetings with other objects, I added a aftermarket back up sensor which seems to help. The car is a great value and laid out well. Nice combo with Toyota powertrain and GM styling and warranty.
