2014 RAM 1500 consumer reviews

My daughter and I were traveling on interstate when we came upon traffic that was stopped for an accident farther up the road. We stopped but were approached from the rear by a speeding motorist who never even slowed down. We were struck and sent flying into the ditch where we rolled four times. The cab of my old Dodge Ram 1500 held up and saved our lives. I have therefore purchased another Ram 1500 and would recommend it to anyone.

My black and silver 2013 Ram 1500 Laramie quad cab is a very nice truck,comfortable ride,classy interior w/leather, good fit and finish and alot of options. My other truck a 2004 Ram sport 1500 has 320,000 miles so Ram is my choice for reliability and comfort!

This truck is the best vehicle I've ever owned. Formerly a Jeep lover this upgrade to the Ram 1500 was a great move. The 5.7 Hemi engine give me the power I need and on the open road the 21 mpg is tops in its class. If you are in the market for a pickup truck this is a must. I just love my Ram 1500.

I previously owned a Ram 1500 2009 SLT. Went into a Mercedes Benz C300 4Matic, which was ok Well equipped. Well let me tell you I feel the Ram 1500 Larime is so much better, I really like the ride, very comfortable, smooth, and quite. Road noise is not a problem at all with the auto volume control in the Uconnect. If Mercedes made a truck like this I would have bought it. The amenities in this class vehicle are perfect. I would highly recommend this truck to all my friends.

It's my second Dodge My first being a 2004 SLT 1500. Dodge continues to not disappoint. I did go for the V6 to save gas money, and I don't care what anyone says you will notice the power difference, but you will enjoy the ride, and you can still tow a boat, or even a horse or two. The 8 speed trans is kinda cool, but most of all for me so far is the gas mileage, LA, to Fresno on one tank of Gas with enough to drive around town with out filling up until I was leaving to go back to LA after the weekend.

2014 4WD 3.92 gear 6.4 bed used commercially. Delivers Airstream TTs boats & cargo trailers from manufacturers to dealerships sometimes additionally hauling a Harley or other cargo. Only repairs have been an alignment & light switch both at 196k. The VM Motori diesel now owned by Fiat Chrysler is efficient quiet and smooth as is the German made ZF 8 speed transmission. The truck is quieter smoother handles better and is more road compliant than any other truck thanks to the newer suspension design. (No leaf springs!) The caveat is that without the factory air suspension the coil springs are too soft when loaded heavy and need to be supplemented by one of the aftermarket axle to frame air bag companies. (TLC, Timber Grove, Air Lift) Mileage has been 30 mpg hwy at 65 mph unloaded. With a typical 26' Airstream TT 17 mpg at 65. Mine benefits from an aftermarket tune which provides an engine brake for safely descending a grade with a trailer. It also bumped the power & mileage as well as minimizing the re-circulation of EGR soot through your engine. I've had no emissions problems. The 1500 platform as well as the lil diesel has its limitations if you want to tow a 9,000 pound trailer or 33' TT or larger you would be better served by a 3/4 ton. I would definitely buy another one or recommend this truck to a friend.

Overall this is the BEST OVERALL TRUCK FOR THE MONEY. Ram offers a LIFETIME WARRANTY on their vehicles for an additional $2500-3500!! Bumper to bumper just ask your finance manager when finalizing your deal. You cant beat this truck! The comfort, the ride, the bells and whistles. I am a DIE hard dodge fan. DO NOT BUY AT 2500 UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO PULL/HAUL ALL THE TIME. THE RIDE WILL BEAT YOU UP IF YOU DO AND ARENT HAULING 24/7. THE 1500 AND 3500 HAVE MY VOTE THROUGH AND THROUGH. My only draw back on these trucks with the new 2016 which makes me madder than a hornet is whatever smarty pants thought it would be a good idea to enhance the cup holder in the center console by putting three pertruding round piences inside to "hold" your drink. They hold it alright you cant get it out once you stick your bottle/can or fast food drink in. I just put my finger through the last styrofoam cup from chic fil a I put in it trying to pull it out of the cup holder and spilt soda everywhere, this experience in turn made me seek out a place to write my review. Ram needs to take this feature out. It is 100% stupid and there is no benefit!

This truck is awesome. Plenty of power, fantastic ride and handling. Brakes work great and stop this heavy vehicle with ease. I have the Big Horn package Truck has a rear posi-unit that makes this a thing climb out of almost anything. The sound system is the second from the best with Nav and the system is easy to navigate thru. The sound quality and bass make this the best sound system I've ever heard in a vehicle. The rotary shifter took some getting use to but after a couple of weeks it felt normal to use it. It is a crew cab and it has lots of room in it. I'm 6'5" tall and have plenty of room. Even with the front seat all the way back I can still get in the back seat and my knees barely rub the back of the front seat. Excellent well made truck.

Great truck I feel like the mph it shows is somewhat wrong because it reads 18 to 20 mpg but that fuel needle moves way faster than it should for that "mileage" it says it's getting other than that good truck

So far, the truck has done everything I've asked of it without an issue. Its built solidly, the ride is quiet and smooth for a truck and is actually as comfortable as my BMW on a road trip. The only negative is the gas mileage (14 mpg on average in mixed driving) but I knew it when I bought it. It has a 5.7 Liter Hemi with the 6 speed transmission and 3.55 rear axle so its not for the guy who has the long commute to work .
