Second Dodge 1/2 ton in 43 years
The fit, finish, comfort, and performance not to mention the downright overall good looks of the 2016 RAM have left the runner ups in the dust. I own a simple Tradesman model with no frills or bling. Power W/D/M that's it. The U-connect system is terrific. I loaded up a dozen albums on a flash drive and said good bye to pay-as-you-go radio. Great ride even for a short bed REG cab. The 3.6l Pentastar w/ 8 speed A/T regularly nets me 26 - 30mpg hwy and 16 around town but I do engage tow/haul in stop and go traffic. 4.5 stars with the placement of the bkup camera in the tailgate. Would like to run a bed net but I'd lose the camera. Otherwise a solid home run.

RAM IT
This is my third RAM 1500 (2011, 2013 and now 2016). Mine is the Sport model and came with lower rear end gear ratio and the 8 speed automatic transmission. It has plenty of power and has always been a great looking truck. I've had no problems from any of my RAMs. I plan to upgrade to a 2500 within the next year.

4x4 crew cab with 28 MPG!
I got the Ram 1500 Ecodiesel and it's worth the extra money. first off, diesels hold their value better and will save you money over time. I really do get 28 MPG on the highway. I got the midrange model, Ram bighorn edition with the 8 inch screen and navigation. The UConnect system is fantastic on this vehicle. I can even track the vehicle on my cell phone! Gets real time weather info including a weather map overlay. Dodge Rams have the best interiors. I would highly recommend the diesel. Its quiet at highway speed and only sounds like a diesel at idle. Even low speed in the city is quiet.

Just bought it after a test drive
First it is a gorgeous truck! The interior is very roomy and I am a bigger guy. The gas mileage is better than I thought it would be especially for a truck.

Road Runner
Use truck for utility field engineering. Bought used with 14400 miles. One year later bumping 40000 miles. Comfortable driver. Works well off road in right of ways often. Excellent mileage for large pickup with Hemi. Does better than Dakota I had for 12 years. No mechanical problems. This is an excellent truck. If it had a CD player it would be next to perfect!
