Good truck for the money - seems solid, although BT should be a standard feature these days. MPG is better than expected !!

Like the comfort of the ride and all the extra features with uconnect giving you full access to your vehicle.

This is the smoothest truck I have driven. It's roomy & features are modern for a pick-up. There is so much room by adding the button gear shift.

I got this truck with 75 miles on it right off the lot. I like all the new trucks out there but this was the one for me. To start, the exterior styling in fantastic. I got a Big Horn crew cab model with the Hemi and 8 speed transmission and it is an amazing drivetrain. The truck starts up every morning with no problems. The hemi has a very satisfying rumble while driving along that would make anyone smile. Unlike what most people think, this transmission shifts smooth, accelerates good, and does not gear hunt at all. I towed a trailer from Indiana to North Carolina and back no problems at all. One other perk of buying a Ram is they include rear wheel well liners to help protect your bedsides longer. The 8.4 UConnect Radio is great, I stream bluetooth music in the truck all the time no problems. Only complaints are cheap seats in the big horn model are not so great on quality and the paint had a few defects (Few chips, rail dust spots on front doors from being transported). Overall this truck gave me the most features for the money and the reliability and power of a 395hp V8 naturally aspirated engine. Their is really no reason to not like a new ram 1500. Plus I get about 21-22 mpg on the highway with this new engine and transmission combo. I now have just over 10,000 miles on the truck and love it.

I am having a problem with my Ram 1500. When you press on gas peddle very lite it feels like motor is miss fireing. Had back to dealerships 2 times but they say they can not find anything wrong.

Many truck guys are very partial out their and I must say being a truck guy I truly love them all. This just happened to be the truck for me. The styling of the truck is beautiful and one of the great things about these trucks are the standard rear wheel well liners. I love the good old sound of a V8 engine so I had to stick with the Hemi and I absolutely love it. The engine comes with a good amount of power for a stock truck (395 hp) meaning your right about at 400 horse to the crank. Even with the 3.21 rear axle ratio this thing can smoke the tires from a standstill. On the highway without stops I can get 20-23 mpg with a light foot which is quite impressive for an almost 6000 pound truck. Although a little quiet for my taste the stock exhaust is the best sounding exhaust out there from a stock truck. The coil spring rear end rides great and smooth, the only downside being it does sag more than a traditional leaf spring rear end truck without the optional air suspension. The only other negative thing I have to say about the truck is the quality of the cloth seats and what some refer to as rail dust. After about 10000 miles the front seat padding seems to be sinking down making the seat cover look baggy in the center. (And keep in mind im only a 150 pound guy here.) Other than that the transmission is great unlike what most people who have never driven one think. The only other issues I have with the vehicle are the rail dust which is little pieces of metal that get flung into the paint or chip off the paint while the truck is being delivered. This eventually leads to a very small rust dot that you must wipe away and wax every now and then. Other than that I drive it every day and the truck is absolutely fantastic. Cant go wrong with one of the new rams. I have had no problems with this truck whatsoever.

Great choice for the price. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who needs a truck and a family vehicle. The crew cab is very comfortable while also offering a truck.

3.0 EcoDiesel made in Italy paired with a German 8 speed transmission makes a great power-train for the half ton truck.

Outstanding engine- transmission (3.0 EcoDiesel - 8 speed) pairing. Fuel economy in the first 1000 miles "out of the box" is 28.4 hwy and 22.6 city - this is fantastic for a half ton truck. Other people say that it will get better after 2-3 thousand miles.
