Just had this car for a week

Of my three vehicles (04 Acura TL, 10 Mercury Mountaineer and my 14 Nissan 370Z roadster (my 3 season fun car)) two of them have manual transmissions. I was looking for a fun to drive grocery getter to update the fleet. I bought the 2019 Alltrack SEL with manual and sold the Acura replacing one manual with another. So far I have been more than pleased with the car. My Z has twice the horsepower but the Alltrack does not seem lacking in performance or fun to drive. Of course it’s carrying capacity makes for great utility. Since I have future plans to replace the Mountaineer with a mid-sized pickup the Alltrack fits the bill as my do many things utility vehicle.

Fantastic car

The car is very spacious for luggage and other things. It drives very well, has all the features I need, and looks great. I would definitely recommend this car.

VW Alltrack is Alright!

Here in the US, for some stupid reason, we are SUV obsessed. Why do you need an SUV? Extra space--the Alltrack has it. I play hockey and all my gear fits no problem. All wheel drive (btw, most people don't drive an AWD SUV and of course NEVER go off road, but that's another story) but again, the Alltrack has AWD and it is very sure footed in all kinds of conditions. Gas mileage - This probably isn't a reason people should be a SUV, but the Alltrack gets great gas mileage. On the highway, we can easily get 32 MPG. Try that with even a small SUV. Great handling - with the exception of a Porsche, BMW or other high end (mostly Euro) SUV, the handling is not great. The Alltrack handles like well a Golf. Sure, it's a bit larger and leans a bit more, but on windy roads and other challenging terrain, it handles great. I could go on and on ranting about SUVs, but my point is, if you need something bigger than a sedan, but don't need a Suburban, you should consider an Alltrack. For the money, it's the best thing out there.

A unicorn among vehicles, and a damn good one.

Wanted a manual transmission wagon with good fuel economy, good foul-weather performance, and all the latest tech. The VW Alltrack is the only game in town. Granted, it's not as quick as the two V6, six-speed Acuras I've owned, but it has never felt underpowered and maintains speed just fine in 6th gear on the highway. Fender audio system isn't quite as good as the ELS system in my Acura, but is more than good enough and has better bass response. Touchscreen interface and general control ergonomics are both outstanding, as is the comfort of the front seats. Rear seating is a bit tight, but manageable if you move the front seats forward. Excellent cargo utility. A few favorite features of mine are the adaptive LED lights, adaptive cruise (works great even with the stick shift), panoramic moonroof, and self-parking feature (mostly a party trick, but SO COOL!). It's the Swiss army knife among cars, and it's my favorite car I've owned. Get one while you can. They're dropping them in December 2019 and who knows if we'll ever get a stick shift wagon again, from anyone, let alone one loaded with all the cool features. Got mine for over $6K off sticker.

VW a driver focused vehicle

I had been looking into stepping up from a Corolla to something slightly bigger, that had all wheel drive and was stick shift. The only entry vehicle with such attributes was the VW Alltrack. So far I like the performance and quality built of the car.

Beautiful value packed car!

I purchased the S manual Alltrack which had all of the bells and whistles and safety features I want. What a fun car to drive: plenty of power, hugs the road and makes me feel like it costs a million- which it oesn't. Grab one before they are all gone!

Only AWD wagon with manual transmission and turbo

Loved it when VW announced they would offer the SEL model line with a manual. It is the only fun to drive awd wagon available and will be adding 100 hp soon with APR tune.

Amazing car

This is the one vehicle that met my needs: manual transmission, seats 5, and AWD. It's really a shame that this is the last year that they're making them; I've had it less than a week and I'm hooked! Great car!

My first new car in over 15 years

The Golf Alltrack has brought me up to date with all the latest features on my wish list. I had been looking for a hatch-back with all-wheel drive and plenty of cargo space but without the height and bulk of an SUV. This station wagon answered all my needs and then some. The handling and response makes for a fun driving experience and Volkwagon's refined and understated styling suits me. For my taste, many of today's models have too many angles on the outside and too many dizzying details in the interior. Despite all the choices out there, I know I've made the right one in my Golf Alltrack.

Very fun to drive

Opted for 2019 manual S. Peppy, hugs the road and is a pleasure to drive. Interior is comfortable and cosmetics well above average . Passenger seat reclines 100% with excellent head and leg room. Would be tight in the rear should the two up front use all of the space available. Options are more than adequate. Upgrades for SE and SEL were not must haves. Wife loves this car.
