Truly the King of Hot Hatches

The GTI has been around for 40 yrs and it still is a leader in the pack. The model has a mature take on the racer hatch category, refined interior with touches of sporty. The exhaust sound is awesome, as is the torque and performance. Nice handling, great pick-up, and comfortable interior. The infotainment system loads quicker than many others while offering some cool features.

Most fun and vest value

Met all my expectations. Fun to drive, gas saver my insurance went down. Plenty of potential for modifying. Awesome 6 year bumper to bumper warranty. The best daily driver for a car enthusiast.

Fun to drive

I was pleasantly surprised with this car having most of the gadgets, luxury, & comfort that I had on my BMW cars (6) over the last 20 years. This car is the epitome of optimal value for the price; VW truly delivers on a promise. Initially, I had reservations about the switch but at this point, No regrets! German perfection for less $$$, that is the ultimate drive. Thank you

Good sports value

A very nice car. NIce handling, decent acceleration, good interior. My other cars are a Boxster S and an E46 M3. Needed something with a useable back seat. Would have bought it if the dealer had not tacked on a bunch of needless extras

Great daily driver

I enjoyed the GTI. I think it?s a tad small but I like that smaller size of car. I wish it was equipped with AWD like the golf R but it still is a great handling car with its FWD limited slip differential. The 6 speed DSG was thoroughly enjoyable to drive as well.

GTI - The True Jack of All Trades

To sum it up in a word, excellent. I'm very familiar with the VW brand (this is now my 4th VAG vehicle and 3rd MQB vehicle) and am impressed. Having owned a Mk7 Golf R and MQB Audi S3 I thought I'd miss the power, but it's actually a non issue. When I was thinking about replacing my S3, all of my options circled back to the GTI. It's fun to drive, stylish both inside and out, and the quality is better than its competitors (looking you Subaru with your cheap interiors). Not to mention it's tech options, usability, and is surprisingly fuel efficient when you're not full throttle.

Wow, how things have changed!!

All, I can say is whooohoooo!! Many of you whom have been with VW for many years like I have probably have the same response to this latest GTI. It has been sometime since I have driven a GTI and know those of you personally whom have begged VW to get back to it roots on this car. After years of porky, non-inspiring, lack luster performance, styling that was less than desired, the GTI is finally back. If you have been, like me, holding out for years, waiting for VW to finally get the GTI right, well wait no more, drive down to your dealer and snatch one of these up. You won't be disappointed!

Satisfies on every front

I?m learning why the GTI has such a devoted following. The car exceeds my expectations all around?performance and handling are stellar, the interior is well designed and comfortable, and there are unexpected little touches and features everywhere. Body structure is vaultlike. And somehow, overall fuel economy somehow exceeds the EPA highway rating so far.

I'm loving this German engineering

What a great little car! I have owned it for two months and continue to be surprised by the thoughtful features, power and handling. My only regret is that I purchased it from the worst dealership on the planet, Fuccillo VW of Schenectady.
