So much fun to drive!
This is a replacement for a VW diesel wagon...it cannot compete on MPG but it handles superbly, really the best car I've ever driven. A couple stupid things like you can no longer make the rear totally flat...this no doubt cost saving measure keeps me from being able to put dogs and bike easily in back. So annoying. And no leatherette available on base trim...dogs and cloth seats just do not mix, I bought some seat and backseat dog mud protection things, somewhat helpful. I have the 4S trim... it is awesome to drive.

A great vehicle sized right for us
This is a great vehicle, sized just exactly right for our needs. Ride is perfect, power is what we expected and mileage is excellent. We are looking forward to an upcoming 2500 mile trip.
well equipped,fun to drive, great design
traded my jetta for the extra room of a wagon -i love to design and versatility also find the 1.8 liter engine with turbo and the 6 speed automatic fun to drive the 4 motion awd is excellent and makes me feel secure on wet or icey roads
Very much enjoy the car - it's everything I want.
It is perfect for me, I have room for family and all our toys, it drives like a sports car, and it has great gas mileage. The AWD is fantastic and offers a great deal of comfort in knowing we are safe. I love the manual transmission.
Fantastic AWD Car
Terrific vehicle in every respect. For those who are not looking for an SUV...or even something SUV-like...and want a CAR with great comfort, handling, and dependability...the new Golf Sportwagen AWD might be just the ticket. It?s got it all, plus great fuel economy and loads of safety features. My wife and I really love this automobile!
I love my new VW
I?ve only had the sport wagon for a few days, but I love it! It has a panoramic sunroof, which my son loves since he?s still rear facing. It?s also very smooth and quiet so he fell right asleep in the car.

Fun and pratical - not usually used together . However the summarizes the Golf Spotswagan. It a blast to drive, and very practicual for shopping or travel
test drive
i like it for the engine and transmission, and road feel it seemed ok also fuel economy and handling it seemed lite on the feet also very expensive lease for the price and popularity of the car.
Drastically under powered....
Bought a 2018 4 Motion Sports wagon, Found it to be drastically under powered... I own a 09 Audi A3 & a 2015 VW CC & comparatively both our a lot more fun to drive...
