Great European Sport Sedan for the money
Car was very reliable and never gave us any problems. Had to replace the tires and rear brakes at around 60k miles. There are going to be additional maintenance and consumables required so we are selling it. Already bought a 2016 Jetta GLI to replace it.

Great entry to the world of European Sedans.
When I first got this car it was a toss up between this and a Civic. So glad I chose the VW. So many little touches that show it was a very well thought out car. Great styling and a great road feel. Upgraded to a newer Jetta because I loved this one so much.

TDI Cup Edition
Special edition vehicle that is unique and stands out from the rest of the Jetta model line up. Being a rare model is a plus; people come up to complement the car or to just check it out.

Not The Worst Car Ever
I bought my 2010 Jetta SE in 2014 with 48,000 miles on it. It has the cold weather package (heated leather seats) and the base 2.5 liter engine. The car is rated for 31mpg highway, but I am able to get 32mpg regularly. In mixed driving, the average is closer to 27mpg. The seats are comfortable enough for long road trips, but the interior feels cramped. I have long legs and my right knee is always cramped against the dash so I can leave enough room for a car seat in the back. The trunk opening is tiny so check that out if you use your trunk a lot. The rest of the interior layout is fine and every button and knob still works. It's German so even routine maintenance is pretty expensive. It requires 0W-40 engine oil so you have to do full synthetic oil changes which can get expensive depending on where you go. There is a skid plate that has to be removed to replace the oil filter and some shops charge extra to take it on/off. Overall, it's a decent car for the price. I can't speak for long-term reliability since I have only put 25,000 miles on it since I bought it. If I could do it again, I would buy a slightly older Camry for the same price and gladly take lower maintenance costs and proven reliability. But if you are looking for something different this isn't the worst car you could buy.
