2019 Volkswagen Jetta GLI consumer reviews

Traded in a 2017 GLI that I loved (with an APR tune) for the 35th Anniversary model. While I'm still under 600 miles (and, therefore, taking it easy) the new GLI is already making my choice a wise one. It does lack certain amenities (cooled glove box, sunroof, sunglasses holder, CD player, Navigation, etc.) but the overall improvement outweighs all of these. The ride is unbelievable for a relatively small (compact) vehicle and I've already received compliments from total strangers (pure gray paint). It is very interesting to notice what VW has done to make this a great car at an attractive price. They give you what you need in a sport sedan and nothing more or gimmicky. Yes, they have cut costs in a few areas, but nothing that really means a great deal to the overall satisfaction of the car. What you get is a spirited sedan that is simply fun to drive...….. a wonderful driver's car.

2019 VW GLI 35 Edition (Canadian version) The all new 2019 GLI is sporty, stylish and a perfect daily driver. The technology is the best in its class, safety features are excellent w/ the drivers assistance package, and the interior has plenty of space for everyone! But what really makes this car? It's that you can go from comfort mode for hauling the kids to school, commuting to work, and once the weekend hits, turn the dial to 11 in sport mode! VW's DCC(adjustable dampers) really gives the GLI a Jekyll and Hyde attitude. This amazing VW EA888 engine is a beast. It's a 2.0L TSI with 228HP and 258ft-lbs of torque, and it pulls that quickly at only 1400 RPM, the front differential lock keeps the front end going where it needs to go and powers through corners like they're nothing and you can always rely on the big front brakes borrowed from the Golf R to bring you to a stop. Whether it's date night, taking kids to soccer practice, commuting to the daily grind or having fun on the weekend, this car has it all. I have put on 1500km and loved any moment. I would recommend this car to anyone and everyone!

This is a very well made car. We love the paint colors, the wheels, the suspension and the growl of the engine. It is very fun to drive.

Great drive, extra amenities for a compact vehicle, great on gas. My second Jetta, but not my last. Also, love the new color Silver/White looks beautiful!
