THIS CAR WILL BREAK DOWN UNDER 100K - GUARANTEED!

by msolon from Atlanta, GA on Tue Apr 04 2017

I bought this car new with 29 miles on it in 2014. 3 years later, I had a problem with my Combination Valve, then a month later was stalled in the middle of the road with transmission fluid gushing out the bottom. I have heard of this happening to other in the past on YouTube videos, but never thought that it would happen to me. I have taken this car in to the dealer for maintenance right on time, every time, but still managed to run into countless problems. MY CAR ONLY HAD 75,000 MILES WHEN IT DIED. Worth it? Definitely not.

Looking for style, performance and economy

by Pat'sfan from on Sat Apr 15 2017

What's not too like. Great performance along with fuel economy averaging 48-52 mpg. Doesn't get any better than that.

Our Take on the 2014 Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid

Editor's note: This review was written in January 2013 about the 2013 Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid. Little of substance has changed with this year's model. To see what's new for 2014, click here, or check out a side-by-side comparison of the two model years.

When it comes to fuel-saving technology, Volkswagen has been one of the staunchest supporters of diesel engines. Americans, however, have preferred hybrids, and VW is relenting with its new Jetta Hybrid sedan.

The 2013 Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid's fuel economy puts it among the hybrid elite, and its sporty demeanor is a welcome addition to a segment that lacks excitement. Our enthusiasm, though, is tempered by the car's clumsy brake-pedal feel and accelerator... Read More
