Awesome Car!

This is the best car I have ever owned! The car is zippy, customizable, and fully loaded! I highly recommend the wagon. The cargo capacity is abundant.

Fuel saver with plenty of power!

Combine german quality with turbo diesel fuel economy and the space of a wagon and you have the perfect combination of reliable transportation! When i acquired a new job and the requirements were to have a vehicle to travel in with a minimum of 25 mpg average my choice was easy to get another VW TDI. Had a 2009 VW jetta sportwagen a few years back for family commute and then VW announced the buyback from TDI models 2009-2014. They bought it back and i had a significant cash back amount from it even that i put 12000 miles on it in 6 months. Really liked the car though because can't recall having a car driving at 65 mph and the engine is just right in the torque band just to push the accelerator and it goes without downshifting or any hesitation to speed up. So i am driving #2 VW TDI now without any problems and average mpg is 38.5 overall. Personally i liked the 2009 front end styling better then the current 2012 but that doesn't effect anything. HIghly recommended!

First VW I have owned

I bought a Jetta Sportwagon TDI Loaded as I wanted to see what a diesel was like to own for a commuting car. Like the design and styling in and out. CONS: Lousy navigation system and audio system. Years behind my 2007 Prius. Huge lack of storage areas. Few cup holders 1 aux 12v plug Can not dim panel lights enough. Unreliable Pano-roof. Mileage not what I expected avg. 34mpg PROS: Very happy with everything else about the car except that listed above

Most Reliable I've owned so far

I purchased sight-unscene; 148,000 miles and all. But the TDI is what sold me, and I'm so far grateful for the purchase. I've already put 3,000 miles on it (only owned for 6-weeks), but no issues so far, and I'm getting 35mpg average (most of my driving is city). Excellent car.

Exceptional vehicle at its price point

I love my 2.5l Sportwagen. There is ample room inside for four (tried and tested) on long road trips. Plenty of areas for expansion with the roof rack as well. The rear is enough room for a large dog and the simplicity and elegance of the interior is easily cleaned (I have a small child) while it looks and feels luxurious. I would highly recommend. 32 mpgs city/highway, 80k Miles and plenty of power after performance plugs and intake. I love my car.

Wish I'd bought one long ago

Found this little gem as a Certified Pre-Owned at JIm Ellis VW in Atlanta. It was really clean and had a pretty good CarFax. I'd never driven a VW TDI before and it was love at first drive. Solid feeling platform. Nice firm steering feel without feeling too heavy. Steering is quick and responsive. Really good interstate ride, little bumps are a little harsh, but tolerable. The DSG automatic transmission is the smoothest most fun automatic I've ever operated. The manual shift feature is nice, but in reality the computer does a better job than I can. However, the manual feature is very handy in certain conditions like hilly or mountainous terrain when you want to stay in a good torque range. Of course the piece de resistance is the fabulous TDI 2 liter engine. With 140 bhp abd 230 lbs/ft of torque this thing is a little beast. It is quiet, smooth and pulls like a locomotive. Interstate hills that would take considerable throttle input from my 2003 Honda Civic EX with 127 bhp and 114 lbs/ft of torque area most effortless in the VW TDI. Small inputs to the accelerator move the Sportwagen with ease. I've discovered torque! The interior is very nicely appointed. In particular I am loving the "leatherette " seat and door panel coverings. I love the understated exterior styling, typical German. I've owned an number of German autos and I have to say VW, especially in the mid to higher range models, is the only way to go if you want that driving experience that only a German car can deliver. German autos are certainly not the cheapest to maintain, but they are some of the most fun to drive, and I feel VW represents that driving experience with the most value. Lastly and sadly VW may never offer these little diesels again, so if you want one they are coming back on the market. VW has fixed them,or at least most of them. All will be EPA compliant eventually. The one I purchased was a 2012 with 60,000 miles and came with a factory 2 year warranty. It is a CPO. Follow your heart

Love this Jetta

This car is an everyday commuter and only car in the family, and runs about 25,000 miles/year. It holds everything we need to carry for work and leisure with room to spare, and is comfortable and fun to drive.
