What a fun car!!!

I love my TDI GLS beetle. Not only does it save on fuel (avg. 44 mpg), it has plenty of room. It has everything that I want. The only wish that I have is, I wish that the car would sit higher from the ground. Loads of fun to drive and it just makes people smile. What a happy ride.

Please think twice!

I was seduced by the cuteness, but I HATE THIS CAR. It is so loud on the road you cannot have a normal conversation with your passenger, you have to yell. The CD player broke immediately, the plastic seatback lifter to access the backseat just snapped off, the rubber is peeling off the interior, the cupholder won't hold anything with a straw in it, etc etc. I can't wait to get rid of it, but the bottom fell out and I can only get out a little over half of what I have in it. PLEASE PLEASE buy something else if you can.

Fun Car to own

I bought a 2005 Turbo Convertible and it has been a wonderful car. I just replaced my first set of tires at 47000 miles. The radio is incredible compared to other cars in this price range. I put the top down and just relax.

Buy a bug convertible and maintain your investment

I purchased my ;05 Turbo convertible following a 2 year lease. It is a great ride and with the dark blue/tan leather interior and tan top, is a real eye catcher. Other then some minor adjustments to the power top ;by my local VW dealer, I have ha no othermechanical issues in more then 2 years and 25,000 miles since purchasing the car. This car due to the turbo engine holds its value as many VW fans do not care for he noisey 5 cylinder engine that replaced the 05 turbo engine rated at 150 HP.

cute, peppy and eye catching

this is my 5th beetle , 3rd convertible. after driving the 06 w/the new engine i opted for a round trip to texas just to buy the last red turbo 05 convt. nothing compares to the turbo. yes, premium gas is a must for the turbo but its such a small tank that the price difference doesnt really make a huge difference in gas. this is the funnest car i have every driven. the 06 had some major difference in body/performance and slight interior changes. dont let the salemen fool you, the 06 engine would never keep up with a smoking turbo at a red light. why the dropped the turbo? i suppose for gas prices. go drive both for yourself. this is truly a cute car and i will be driving this one forever unless they come back w/another turbo. why the funky tail lights and cheap plastic front? stick with something that sells!
