I love Rabbit! Good job VW team!

Wow! This car is so fast and nimble, it's fantastic! I own this car for more then two month and still feel excitement every time I going to drive. What a performance difference to my old Golf III! Rabbit leaves my friend?s Audi 1.8 turbo in the dust. I have 5 speed manual and it takes time to get used to it. But be patient, it so fun to drive, it?s almost addicting! Now I so used to Rabbit?s clutch and gas, I have a hard time switching back to my other car. Electric assist steering amazingly crisp and responsive. There are couple bitter words for chip plastic interior parts: lumbar adjuster knob on the driver seat broke off almost instantly. It make me worry about others too, plastic is more suitable for cheap toys, not a real car. Gas mileage is also much worse then older generation Golfs, it more like a GTI now. I also noticed that speedometer shows about 5 mp/h greater speed then it actually is. I think it?s OK, since I tend to speeding in this car (it so smooth, you don?t feel the speed until you hit 75 mp/h). If you have a trouble driving according to the posted speed limit, don?t buy this car. It will make it worse ten fold! Overall car is very refined and well worth the money.

Funnest car Ive driven! it hauls a#%! tiptronic!

Tiptronic makes the car! dont get the manual! its too long of a clutch and it stalls all the time! tiptronic is the best thing in the world! the car feels almost like its turboed like an 05 gti but only if youre in a low gear! the only thing i hate is the placement of the key. it gets in the way of your leg if youre tall. they should have the key inserted into the dash or something! its rediculous but besides that and the wierd noises it makes in the back and in the engine after its turned off, its a killer car. the dash is made out of korean plastic which is another downer, if the whole interior was vinly it would be luxury quality! also, the side panels are black on the outside so it looks tacky unless you get black like i did! 6 speeds is insane! its so fast you will want to drive it all day! i love it!

VW Did It Again !

The day after I bought it, I was faced with driving through a blizard. The standard Traction Control made driving through the snow a breeze. The six speed automatic transmission is the best I've seen in a small car. Many standard features.

Very Safe

I was recently involved in an accident with this car and all i can say was after hitting it at 60 miles an hour, my 88 accord was crumpled like a soda can while the rabbit suffered almost no damage that wouldnt be fixed in 5 minutes (rear bumper hanging). i wish i was driving a rabbit!

My first VW

I searched for the best hatch back I could find. I read all the reviews I possibly could and test drove a lot of cars: Nissan Versa, Honda Fits, Scion xB, Toyota Yarus, Ford Focus and Kia Rio5. I narrowed my choices down to either a Mazda3 or VW Rabbit. I choose the Rabbit because I loved how it drove! Its control panel is well placed. Its power and comfort in stop and go traffic felt better than the Mazda3. Ironicly, the very first car I drove was a used Ford Focus at a VW dealership but right before I drove it, I saw the exact same model and color Rabbit. When I finally made a decision, I felt like I came full circle. The things that bother me is that Aux Audio input is in the glove compartment and that almost everything is electric. I wonder how I will keep those electronics maintained. BUT I LOVE THIS CAR!

Quality second to none

Bought the car in July and have never had a problem yet. Excellent customer service from local dealer. The car is well put together as expected. It does what it says on the box. Adjustment of the driver seat is very good. Slight blind spot behind drivers side. Economy not very good for a new engine and being a slightly lighter car. Rear seats can be a bit harsh over a long distance. Ride quality very good, very nice to drive. Handles well. Good feedback from the brakes and steering. Engine fairly peppy for a 4 cylinder, bearing in mind it is a 2.5 liter. Front seats are very good except it gets slightly bally on the material after a few months of normal use. I would buy this car again with no problem at all except with a slight hestation about the fuel economy, as the price of gas in North America is cheaper, if this car was in the EC then it would become a serious issue. Price is slightly more expensive than other cars in this category but quality is certainly the best.

One Smooth Bunny

I love this car- just bought a new 2007 two-door. It is vastly evolved from the earlier version I had. It is technically excellent and responsive; drives smooth and handles cleanly. It's fast. Expandable hatch area could hold a bureau. Great job, Volkswagen!

I love the Rabbit

I have had the rabbit for 2 weeks now and have already put 1100km on it. The drive is so much fun I can't get enough and I use to hate driving. i only have one complaint about the car the fuel economy I am getting 11.6L/100km (mix city and highway) which is a far cry from the rated 7.4L/100km HW and 10.4L/100km city. Other wise this car is the best.

I love this car!!!

Its awesome , i would definitely recommend it to my buddies. There are very few sporty two-doors left on the market now-a-days.For this reason i cannot find a better match for my preferences, than my rascally rabbit.
