Nice package with some quibbles

Good pricing on a compact SUV, with the emphasis on compact- fits into tight spaces for city driving. Nice fitout on the SE and SEL trims with leather interiors, navigation, etc. My biggest issue is that this thing seems to feel every bump in the road- not exactly a smooth ride. Still, good gas mileage, a little pep in the throttle, and the panoramic sunroof option keep me happy.

Reliable and Luxurious

This car met my expectation. Exactly what i've been looking for. The moonroof was marvelous. The leather seats are very comfortable and definitely look nice! Have a navigation which is perfect for travelers. Runs very smooth and the pearl white is very nice color! I love it!

Tiguan are Cool

I initially did not think that I would like this car, but its very comfortable, the ride is smooth. The care handles well, I love the inter-coolant system and the sound system is good. There is no need for me to add any additional speakers. Overall love this car

The best car I have ever owned!

I think this vehicle is the best one I have ever owned. I have the (base line) s model and you would think that it was the highest model. The power is amazing and the interior is absolutely loaded!

Great car year round.

I live in northern Illinois. This car has no trouble in the snow, I have even taken it goose hunting in the winter and it never got stuck. It is reliable and comfortable. The one grudge I have with the car is the premium gas. Kind've annoying to always pay more.

Never drove a VW before, pleasantly surprised

Drives very well, good get up and go, brakes a little touchy, comfortable seats, roomy back, small cargo area in back, though able to fit a stroller and a trip to the grocery store for shopping. Have been very happy with this model. Would buy again.

Very Reliable Vehicle

I've driven Tiguan for more than 4 years, it's a reliable car, 2.0T power is adequate, and seat room is quite large. However lack of some small stuff makes it looked cheap. The exterior looking is good, cargo area is too small.

2013 VW Tiguan S 4motion

First of all, the performance is great. The turbo engine makes it a lot of fun to drive, which was an important factor for a young guy like myself. Secondly, the gas mileage is impressive (for what it is). I've been averaging between 24 and 25 miles per gallon consistently. Thirdly, German styling is the best styling. The interior layout is so simple and elegant. This car has lots of room as well, great for a family car or if you just need to haul around some fishing or music gear like me. I got this car with 56k miles on it and it's still going strong... I expect many more miles out of this car. Only cons I've come across so far is that there is a slight rattle coming from the back of the car (which I'm sure I could fix myself if I ever got around to doing it), and also the bluetooth audio cuts out sometimes after I get off of a bluetooth phone call; I've had to restart the bluetooth on my phone a couple times because of this. Nothing major. All of that being said, I would definitely buy another Tiguan!

Two Tiguans Super Safe!!

Didn't think twice about buying another Tiguan when a texting driver ran into me going 50+ mph, sending me into another vehicle and totaled my 2011 Tiguan. Purchased 2013 new, both vehicles very comfortable (even with 6'2" passenger and driver). Folding down front seat gives 8'4" space to bring home - lumber, umbrella, even fit a twin mattress and box spring with just back seat down. Now over 25K and still running great.

Bad Luck Car

After years of driving a Honda CRV, I switched to leasing a 2013 Tiguan -Big mistake. Whether it was my own bad luck (5 flat tires) & 3 people side swiping me in my own city of San Francisco - this car has been a curse to me. Taking out the tire issues, I feel this car has a ton of blind spots. The visibility is limited for city driving. The stereo system is not always compatible with an iPhone system - one minute it works, the next it is blasting. I'm hoping that I just had bad luck with a lease vs ownership.
