I’ve been to a few BMW dealerships for service on this and other vehicles. As with any dealership experience, it pays to use a single service advisor versus taking whomever you can get. The experience is best if you can develop some kind of rapport with a single person. Dealership service experiences are generally just ok and Sterling can be hit or miss as well. Some things are not great - it’s almost impossible to get a human on the phone, the check-in system is confusing; you’re supposed to wait in your car for someone to come to you, but you end up sitting there so long you wonder if anyone notices you’re there and if you approach any of the service advisors at their desks, they send you back to your car. But if you can get someone on a good day and get on their good side, the service can be better than average. I’ve had better than average experiences with Julie and Sarina if you want to start with them.

Wonderful customer service! Harold Shelby was so helpful to me to resolve some issues I was having. He truly went the extra mile. Amit Thanki helped me with the computer systems and seems to be all knowing in explaining the sometimes complicated on board system and making sure everything is properly set up. You always judge the dealership by the quality of service and this is where BMW of Fairfax in my view above all in the area. They have a very professional and motivated team and they really take care of your car. I feel comfortable dropping it off because I know they will take care of it the same as I would. Konrad, the Manager of Service Department is a great leader. As for my buying experience, I prefer to build my car myself. I do not need much assistance except placing an order and taking the delivery. Petr is the expert with years of experience and passion.
