Used BMW X5 for sale near Hercules, CA

Our 2022 X5 was a beautiful car to us. Unfortunately it didn't work for us as my wife is handicapped and found it difficult to get in and out of - it's higher than one would expect and came to realize the seats are more inboard than other cars that are direct competitors. The 3 inch door sill was almost like a running board and contributed to her struggles. Even though we had the multi-contour seats, we found the lower cushion seat side bolsters too firm for any drive more than an hour. The seat back was fine. While driving around town and 2 lanes was great, it didn't track as well on the highway as one would expect, even after an alignment (it was off at delivery). Our old Volvos were much better in that regard. The positives include the exterior and interior design/layout, the quality, ride, handling and power. It also still has a few buttons, albeit a bit small when driving. The headlights were awesome and the gas mileage was better than expected, 21 around town and 28+ on the highway. Our situation is unique, and after 7 months we sold the car to a tall, able bodied couple.

Biggest negative on the X5 is the run flat tires. I think they reduce the quality of the ride and at 5,000 miles had to replace two flat tires ---- non-repairable damage.

I have this car for 26,000 miles now. This is the best X5 that I have ever owned. The new engine is great on the xdrive 40i. No need for the M60. 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. Handling is great. Tires and much better than on the previous generation. The ride is tight and comfortable. They did an awesome job. Hopefully, this car will last as long as my previous 2010 X5.

Only had the X5 for 4 weeks now but so far it is an awesome vehicle that runs and drives great. It appears to be very well built with good body lines and fit. Some of the safety features and electronic systems take some time to get set up properly for the best driving experience but the reward is well worth the time as everything is customizable for two drivers. Only bad thing is that a mower along the roadside threw a stone and put a chip in our paint and the paint isn’t self healing.

Recently took my car in for a regular service and worked with Tim Price. Tim is always positive, upbeat and professional. He gave me a concise breakdown of what needed to be done on my car with all related details. He reminded me of the warranties I have in place and that everything would be covered. I received a clear time line regarding the scope and sequence of the work with a realistic expectation of when the car would be ready. The communication remained consistent and I picked up my freshly washed, vacuumed and serviced car by days end. This has always been my experience when working with Tim!

Excellent Sales and Finance experience at Pleasanton East Bay BMW. I had a pleasure of working with Enrique and he was very helpful and helped me to find the exact car that I wanted and helped me to work with his management to get the right price. They even offered a decent price for my trade in, but my wife texted me and she asked me to take the RDX back home for her. It was a super easy car buying experience at this dealership and I highly recommend them.

Very comfortable, with massaging seats plus heated and cooled seats. I’m not sure that it’s a great value because it is expensive. The adaptive cruise control and the lane keeping work very well and almost make it self-driving.

I work with Kier Custodio in the service department every time I come to this dealership and he always does an amazing job taking care of me and my car. He addresses my concerns properly and always squeezes me into their tight schedule. Any issue I have, I tell Kier and he makes it go away like magic. He also has the friendliest demeanor out of anyone I?ve ever worked with at a dealership, which is something I greatly appreciate. Kier knows how to keep me coming back to east bay bmw!

Service was handled quickly and efficiently. Brought in for new rear tires, they were at the end of their tread life. They were in stock and easy to scheudle the appointment.

Great car. Wish it didn't come with run flat tires which I believe lessens the quality of the ride, and they wear out quickly. Other than that, no real complaints. Car is truly the ultimate driving machine.

(Review from 8/26/2025) I called East Bay BMW and spoke with the receptionist, who handled the intake process smoothly and scheduled my appointment to pick up a loaner. Upon arrival, I met with my service advisor, Kier C., who provided excellent service and worked with Mike A. to make sure everything was handled efficiently. Zach also took care of washing the loaner car, which I really appreciated. Overall, the process was organized, and I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time. I will provide an updated review once my car has been serviced and repaired.

Purchased my fifth BMW, a 2025 X5 m40i. My last BMW was A 2024 X5 M60i so I have a little experience with both the V6 and V8 X5. The 8 cylinder is a beast and very fast, but the X5 is more of a luxury SUV than a performance car, so I opted for the Turbo Charged six cylinder. Plenty of power and about 10 mpg better gas mileage. I enjoy technology and have all the available packages. I find the tech reliable and easy to operate. I have 22” black wheels on my BMW, so I opted for the optional wheel and tire warranty as I’ve always had wheels fail by hitting pot holes, etc.

First SUV. This X5 is the best. Looks, ride, technology , athletic, and base motor is strong. This is my 6th BMW they just keep getting better..
