First off, a brand new vehicle that I had financed in Northern California in 2016 was recently involved in a rear end collision and declared a total loss by the insurer's agency. I was not anticipating in getting a new vehicle whatsoever, and I had no experience with Hyundai vehicles except having seen them around being driven on the road and noting how beautiful made they were. And having being put in a rental and it being a 2020 Hyundai Elantra model, I had grown in love with the Hyundai as a vehicle manufacturer. It really does take you to having driven a Hyundai vehicle to know how well and how smooth it drives.
Fast forward to 3/7/2020, I was shopping around for a new vehicle to replace my totaled one, and had stopped by the Crain Hyundai dealership in Bentonville AR, just to check around and see what they can offer in terms of a affordably financed vehicle, something similar perhaps to the rental I was driving (2020 Hyundai Elantra).
I was greeted immediately upon parking the rental in front of the dealership by a friendly salesman; Mr. Zach Lewis; he approached me and fiance' with a smile we would never forget after this day. He asked us if we needed some help and if he could help us find a new vehicle today. We said absolutely. He was no pushy, nor was he trying to sell us something off the bat. He was approachable, friendly and above all, listened to us in what we wanted and what we had gone through with our total loss of a vehicle. After sitting down with him in his office, and filling out all the necessary information, we walked out to the front of the dealership and there was a 2020 Elantra that was being offered to us with rebates and applicable discounts, we were not in the market for a brand new vehicle but we were really appreciative of him and his manager in offering to help us into a 2020 Elantra, that is exactly like the rental we were driving in and enjoying so much. Mr. Zach Lewis, after listening to our requests for a used 2014-2016 vehicle, then after a brief wait, offered us a vehicle that we would never anticipate of owning, and that is a 2016 Hyundai Tucson, a mini SUV. When me and my fiance' first saw it, as they had so kindly brought it to the front of the dealership, the white paint and glass on the vehicle glistened in the sun, and looked practically brand new. There was an initial smile on me and my firance's face. Zach smiled at us and held out the keys to the vehicle in front of us, just dangling it to entice me, and asked if we would like to test it out for a drive, we absolutely said YES. We examined the vehicle first and it looked really really really beautiful from the outside, we examined the superior room in the back, and also the front cabin of the vehicle. It absolutely looked stunning. But will it still drive like a dream, like the 2020 Elantra did? I had to see for myself. Mr. Zach Lewis hoped in the back while my fiance' sat co-pilot with me in the front. After what seemed like an absolute dream of 10 minutes, and pushing the vehicle the way I wanted in the drive, testing out the brakes, shifting and turning and seeing the features ---------- I was sold on the 2016 Hyundai Elantra. It also had only 60,000 miles on it, a backup camera, bluetooth, an advanced rear view mirror, so much leg room, Sirius XM (a very underrated feature that I need) and felt like a man's vehicle (as it's the biggest safest vehicle I have ever driven). We had the biggest smile on our faces, after that test drive. We wanted this vehicle!
After going through all the paperwork, and a waiting period for the financing to go through, I was given the numbers. And it was quite pleasing to me and my fiance'. That was the best deal I was ever given in my entire life (and I have been to several dealerships, here and in California). I shook their hands; Garret a manager, Justin "Tex" a financing manager, and our new friend Zach Lewis. We took our new vehicle home, happiest time in our lives.
