Have loved it, bought a 04 Ford Focus ZTS 5 speed.
In 2020 and a half I bought a 2004 Focus ZTS 5-speed manual. It had a 113,000 miles on it and 30,000 miles on it. I bought it for right at $1,900 and about a month after buying it I did put a new catalytic converter on it. That was a costly repair, just the part alone will be anywhere from $500 to about $800. Then you've got the labor. The labor cost is and can be very extensive because they have to loosen the motor mounts lower your motor to get to where they can take it out. I'm not sure what Ford was thinking when they designed this because for a car that brand spanky knew there's only $18,000, and it has a $1,500 repair for a catalytic converter because it bolts up directly to your manifold there is no pipe that comes down off the manifold to it and then a pipe to your muffler. I found a reputable muffler shop in my area that was willing and somehow able to do it for $850 and that included one O2 sensor that I wanted to have replaced the one that mounts right up on your converter the number one. In about 9 months later I have to replace the alternator. I chose to let a mechanic that has done work for me for 30 years tackle that one. Once again unless you have the really right tools like I'm sure the shops do, the job for the Pro. I wasn't willing to tackle this one. Got to loosen the motor mount dropped the motor down a little bit just not my cup of tea I mean I could have done it I just chose not to and the result was I spent like $700 but my mechanic also gave me a 2-year warranty on both the parts and the labor if it were to fail then the alternator itself has a lifetime warranty. Can't go wrong with a warranty on that like that! When I bought the car there was a little bit of surface rust around the front fender wells. I have absolutely loved my Ford Focus I'm in the process right now of taking care of the body work that I have to do which again it's nothing but surface rust I'm going to be easy peasy or it has been so far and I'm going to paint the front fenders and the hood with one coat and I'm going to give the whole car a coat of paint using exactly what it came out of the factory with. Not necessarily OEM but it is the factory paint Oxford White. The car has been so good to me that I feel that I owe it to this car to make it look really nice. I mean it looks nice now but it's a 2004 is 2022 the car is 18 years old. Has got to be the factory paint job what's the exception of a few scratches here and there looks awesome hasn't oxidized or anything like that It was pretty awesome I also tended to windows practically black and I got a sunroof and everything works on the car just like it should. It's paid for and if I have to put you know a few hundred dollars into it every year for upkeep I'm good with that. I changed the oil religiously. The only thing I didn't like but at the same time it does have advantages is the way that the catalytic converter mounts directly to your manifold. But the positive side of that is I'll never have to worry about someone stealing my catalytic converter LOL.

Still in love!
Bought new in 2007 and still runs and looks like new. As reliable as they get..only needed routine maintenance for 16 years. It's a simple car without much that can go wrong. Handles great, reasonably peppy and good fuel mileage. Still love it after all these years..not interested in a new car!

Overall a great experience at Shottenkirk. Everyone was very friendly and great to work with. Matt Luers was our salesman and I can?t say enough good things about him.
Really good cheap car for someone handy
I bought my 2002 Ford Focus stationwagon 9 months ago with 180,000km for 1400 CAD. It has the 2.0 Zetec engine and the 5 speed manual transmission mated to it. Currently sitting at 215,000km and it is still running strong. Comfort-wise it's great. I made a 11 hour drive in one day and was not even sore, the amount of headroom, especially in the wagon, is great aswell. Interior design, is alright, it's quirky. Lots of curves, definetly shows its age but everything works great and is easy to operate. Performance wise, its alright. Definetly not a race car by any means, but it is fast enough. The value for money on one of these used is amazing - if you are somewhat mechanically inclined and can do basic repairs and maintenence. Exterior styling is good, its a very interesting looking car. Since I got it 35,000km ago heres what I've done for repairs: Valve cover gasket, motor mounts, hatch struts. I've done a ton of maintenence, all the reccomended stuff for this mileage, but those are the only things I've had to repair. It is currently leaking a bit of oil but on a 1400$ car it doesn't really bother me, doesnt even leak enough to get even halfway down the dipstick between oil changes. It hasn't ever left me stranded.

Bought a good used vehicle!
We were in need of buying a good reliable used vehicle for our father. We found a wagon with reasonable low miles. We test drove the vehicle, checked out the car fax and decided to buy it. Our father is happy with his vehicle and we are happy that he has transportation. The purchase process was easy and hassle free. The gentleman that helped us was professional and personable. I’ll probably come here to get my daughter a car once she gets her license.
Awesome car
I bought my car in 2006 and love it. I do regular maintenance and the only thing that that I have had to replace was the alternator and power sterring pump. I have almost 300,000 on it and still running strong. Bought it for volunteer firefighting great storage for massive gear and great pickup and go. Would not trade it for anything!

Great little car
This is the second Focus that I have owned. She was a hand me down from my parents, who owned her since 2009. It was primarily used by as the "kid car". She sat for almost two years before I got her,, so she has a bit of rust now from the north-east winters. However, she is still going strong despite being over a decade old at this point. The only major thing wrong with her is the rust, but her engine and transmission are just fine. The only thing I would say is that if you drive in snow, you have to splurge and get snow tires. Other than that great on gas and has never broken down despite being rather elderly at this point.

I purchased a 2016 Toyota Tundra from Sal.
I purchased a 2016 Toyota Tundra from Sal. He answered my questions with no pressure to purchase. After I made the decision to purchase it took less than an half hour to fill out the paperwork and driving off the car lot with no extra fees. I would recommend Ultimate Motor Cars and ask for Sal. P.S. I had an opportunity to walk through the shop and talked with the mechanics. These guys all seem knowledgeable and love working cars.
01 Bought New and lasted 21 years
My dad bought our 01 SE new in 2000. We religiously kept up with the maintenance and care of the car, using the best fluids and materials we could afford. In the nearly 22 years we have had it we have never replaced a clutch, never had to have any major work done, and always had a fun reliable vehicle to drive. That is until earlier this year when we made the mistake of taking it to a new mechanic after ours retired, went in for an AC recharge and a general tune-up, was returned with the valve cover blown to pieces and a diagnosis of a blown head. They denied any wrongdoing, but didn't charge me for "the many hours spent working on it." The moral is that with proper care and love these can be amazing cars, but one mistake will end in disaster.

Get the Focus!
I recently bought my SECOND 2005 Ford Focus ! needless to say im still impressed with how you get such a bang for your buck with this vehicle. Im usually not a ford fan but I had to unexpectedly get my last one. Because I had had one before i knew they are cheap and reliable, I really wanted to get a luxury truck but with me being a younger adult in these tmes it just woldnt happen right now, however im happy to have just went the focus route! This car is super comfortable ad spacious for its size! It has a super smooth ride and is super dependable! Both times ive had my focus ive taken them on long trips put of town with no problems and theres no doubt that i would do it again ! same thing goes for day to day as i drive 80 mi. a day for work . My first focus focus was only a 2 door 5 speed but because of me having two big furbabies I wanted a 4 door this time. My one now has about 50k more miles but still rides like a focus should. If you were like me looking for a small car thats great on gas, and easy on your pockets. I'd give this car a chance. they are so slept on but they are great vehicles when trying to save a buck or two.

I wanted to give a shout out to Ruben staff member at Hayes auto dealership felt like his customer service was impeccable. He even dropped off the vehicle to accommodate my crazy work schedule. He went out of his way from when we first interacted over the phone. He kept me up-to-date and sent me Pictures and videos of The vehicles on the lot. He then walked me through the paperwork and even followed up with me afterwards to make sure that I was Satisfied with my choice. Thank you for your quickness and efficiency.
Ugly car but good car so far
I’m used to owning sporty mustangs but will never own anything but a Ford. So I hit hard times and had to sell my mustang and needed a cheap car while between owning mustangs. I saw a hour old ad on Facebook for a 2005 Ford Focus with 153k miles on it (these can last 200k-250k miles!) for $2k. I bought the car in cash ASAP. Several other people were interested in the car as well. I was a little disappointed as the car is just a car. No one is going to see the car and say “oh my gosh it’s a Ford Focus”. When I had my mustang people were excited to see it and recognized it. It was great. But now I have a Ford Focus that is so plain and ugly. First thing I noticed was there’s a lot of Ford Focus’s driving around and several of my neighbors have one! The car had no oil leaks or any other type of leak. It seems to start really strong. The tires were bald and the brakes very worn but these are easy replacements. The car would get about 36 mpg on highway and 26 city which is great! Insurance was a little more simply because it doesn’t have as many security features as a newer car. One of my complaints is the seat is super uncomfortable for my back. I remember my mustang had lumbar support. Another thing is there’s only a key hole on the drivers side, at least for my base zx4. I’m used to my mustang which only had a key fob and I didn’t have to use the key at all. So this is a big change and down grade. But replacement keys shouldn’t be too bad to buy. The car also passed emissions which I was proud of! There’s lots of places to hide sunglasses and there’s a cup holder in the door!! The AC blew cold air which I was so happy for. The buttons of the radio are rubbed off but the cool thing is you can buy stickers to cover it or buy a new radio OEM cheap on eBay. And that’s another thing: replacement parts are super cheap! I’m going to be buying this car brand new headlights since these are faded, it only costs $80 for a brand new pair! The acceleration on this is pretty slow but seems to coast really nicely and once you get going, it is pretty zippy. I think it has 150 to 200 horsepower, I don’t remember so it’s not super fast but that’s ok. The trunk fits A LOT! I was shocked! The back seats also fold down which is great. I haven’t been able to find seat upholstery replacements though because it has stained leather seats which grosses me out and when it’s hot, I get all sweaty. Yuck. The FWD will also come in handy in winter in Colorado. I’m saving up for a mustang but in the meantime this is my car and it’s pretty good. I like it enough. And I would recommend anyone to buy one of these. Very cheap, they last awhile. This is the best car deal I’ve made!

You just cant go wrong here.
Have always been a die hard Chevy guy until I pulled an old f-150 from its grave many years ago. That had the straight 6 bulletproof 300 in it. After fixing it up, (easy to work on by the way and parts are cheap) it had to have been one of the best vehicles I've ever owned... Until I got a focus. 2.0 runs like a pair of cheap pantyhose. Besides routine maintenance, not a single issue. Not one. 140k miles and a million more to go...

Easy to work with, helpful & fair
First, I'm an internet car shopper. I research the dealer sites for the auto I'm looking for, comparing & pricing compilable vehicles. I recently found & purchased a locally owned 2012 Chevrolet Equinox trade-in from Nikles of Petersburg. I drove 103 miles to Nikles on a car searching loop w/ 3 Chevy Equinoxes @ 3 different dealers to assess. Nikles was the second dealer on the loop. I contacted Doug Stark who helped me w/ all my questions, concerns, & test drive of the Equinox. Doug was very straight forward, genuine, no frills or tap dancing, & quickly came back w/ my "out the door" price that was reasonable & fit nicely into our budget. The car was detailed for a later pick up, filled w/ gas, & the paper work went quickly upon our arrival. As my wife was viewing the car for the first time, she noticed a small water stain under the hood on a piece of chrome when pointed out to a shop employee, he quickly grabbed some wax & a towel & checked several areas on the Equinox. I live in a small East Central IL. town where a man's word is his bond. Doug Stark & the employees of Nikles fill the bill w/ my wife & me. Yes, I will give Doug a call in the future whenever I'm looking for another vehicle.
Fun fixer
I purchased my 2001 Focus in 2012 to have as a second beater car--only paid $700, as the front end suspension needed lots of work. I will say that this car is comfortable and fun to drive. The interior is holding up after over 20 years of use. However, if this was my only vehicle-- and if the love of my life was not a mechanic, I would have cut my losses a long time ago. the car is easy to fix. Parts are easy to find, but there is something that always needs fixing. Motor mounts have been replaced several times, serpentine belt replaced more often than the manual calls for, and because the engine rattles and is noisy, engine related gaskets have been replaced more than once. This is a good car if you like working on cars.
