My experience with just another salesmen

6/7/2018 I took my vehicle in for service. Love the service department. My wife and I decided to walk around and look at the new vehicles (Traverses). We found one and decided to take a harder look. That???s when I met Chip. Nice enough guy at first. Started talking just a few numbers and he asked me what I would pay for this vehicle if I had cash. I told him and he said, ???Nope, won???t do it.??? I handed him the key and said, ???Well, I might as well not test drive it then.??? Chip walked away. I was only $2900 off the asking price. There wasn???t any negotiation with this individual and it was certainly just another frustrating encounter with a ???salesman???. I suggest you deal with another individual when looking for a new vehicle. However, I dealt with Art Speth in the service department and he was awesome. Thanks Art for being professional and respectful.

Ride, engine, interior, is very good. The shifting coasting in drive line is terrible. Have the dealer check it out, ride with me and he knows what I talking about but does not know how to fix it.

What was GMC thinking

I am not sure what GMC was thinking. I have owned 5 consecutive Sierra's. The last 4 all Denali's (w/ 6.2L) I really liked them all, each new model year got better, until 2019. It took many steps backward. I test drove it 7 times and each time I liked it less and less. They went too far with the grill and not far enough with the dash. The powertrain is fine but I felt the magnetic ride control on the previous model was superior. How do you remove 400 pounds and 2 more speeds to the transmission and still get the same MPG? GMC put all their effort in heads up display, trick mirrors and cameras, and a fancy tailgate. They should have focused on adaptive cruise control, panoramic sunroof and a better sound system. I bought a RAM Limited. I drive them both and you will see.

I went on line to find a new Buick Encore SUV for the least money paid. Hands down they had everyone else beat by thousands. Doubtful it would end up that way I call them they went over everything on it and sent me the price quote. It was as they said it would be. Three days later I drove 400 miles one way and picked it up. They were organized, ready and helpful. They didn't get to be the number one Buick dealership in the US by not selling a lot of cars. And they didn't sell a lot of cars by being high priced. They met my expectations after a lot of other dealers had not.

Not the best truck, transmission problems looming

Extremely rough shifting 8 speed transmission. They just put in some synthetic transmission oil while in for service.
Why did GMC not inform customers that the transmission is having problems?
I asked my service advisor 2 years ago about the rough shifting and I was told it’s just the way the transmission works. Now GMC is changing the transmission oil to a synthetic to help salvage what’s left of the transmission.
Not impressed!

Bought the new 1500 elevation issues from day 1. Headlights jiggle on bumpy ground. Had it replaced same issue. Trans shifts hard has a hesitation going up hill empty. And hard shifts gearing down. Rear end has a clunk as well
But was told all the nature of the 2017. So junk

Outstanding Used Car Sales Process

Since this was the second used QX-56 purchased in the last year, I had a chance to compare the purchasing process. After hitting a dear, I need a quick replacement. I found the exact same vehicle at Sapaugh. Initially I was concerned since they are not a Infiniti dealership but I found they actually handle the sales process better than the Infiniti dealer where I purchased my first vehicle. Steve Ermer, my salesman, negotiated a fair price, replaced items that where missing, even to the point of delivering a new set of headphones to my house that were missing. BUT what really made the sale, and Sapaugh different, is that they warranty my 100,000 mile used car for 3mos/3000 mile. I would recommend buying from Steve Ermer. He is a man of his word. Hard to find these days. He represents Sapaugh well.

The Duramax will never be the monster engine that the Cummins is. But, when you take into consideration the whole pickup, neither ford or dodge can come close to it. The fuel delivery is the biggest problem i have with Duramax. The suction system instead of a pressurized one is not a good choice especially when the fuel is also needed for lubrication of the pump. A leak is hard to find and will cost thousands if not found.
And they will never come close to touching the Allison transmission.
