To help maximize your mpg just watch the dashboard meter that tells you when you're getting the best mpg possible. If you're not (like the reviewer who said he got only 18 mpg) then you're driving too fast and you can't blame the car for that! I love my Subaru!

We were looking for a low mileage, economical car for our son. After looking, and researching and test driving countless vehicles, we were able to find and purchase a very gently used 2010 VW Beetle! The car was clean-almost factory new inside/out with a great price and fairly low miles. The customer service was OUTSTANDING! I loved this car. It picks up and moves. No lag. Smooth riding. Great gas mileage. Even with my clutch going out it still lasted a year. It finally died @ 270,000 miles. Freeze plug and timing belt. It performs well. Very nicely rounded. The downside of this vehicle was it needed higher Octane gasoline if ever you put anything below that the motor oil would get sludgy. Learned that the hard way. Lol. The car is great but when it’s done it’s completely done. Tune-ups are quite expensive but last longer versus an average 4-cylinder. More tune-ups for less money each time. Or a bit more money with fewer tune-ups needed. I'm sure the higher octane required has a big part in that also.

The 2000 Focus is the first and only car that I bought brand new, and I just had her towed away to the junk yard a month ago while I literally stood in the garage with tears in my eyes. In between ... 426,606 miles! Had my first mechanical issue (broken belt) at more than 250,000 miles, and few few issues after that. Only after it approached 400,000 miles did it start to nickle and dime me with little things. She was the most trouble-free car I ever owned, plus fun and economical to drive. I loved her!

Ok so don't let the miles or lack of engin noise scare you and you'll be fine! Electric vehicles are different from a 2015 chevy spark that cost $300 per tire, $70 oil change and $15 gas in week to $3-5 to fill up if want to pay at walmart. Charges from normal 110v socket over night. Its a trade higher insurance avg 23% and plate cost vs oil and gas costs. It should balance out plus way more fun to drive knowing gas is not a factor and your wall plug is always in trunk!

Let’s just start by saying my family is a loyal Audi family! I currently have an A3 e-tron wagon and just helped my daughter purchase an older (2007) sport A3wagon from a Volvo dealership. The leather interior is so beautiful and holds its value, the dash is fun and sporty and easy to use. And the power and turning radius is one of the big bonuses of this car-especially in rainy wet conditions like Seattle has.

This car is fully loaded and had low mileage very comfortable ride beautiful interior everything you need in a daily driver it’s not a speedster but it will get you to where you going comfortably and in style I highly recommend this car.

My 2012 Volt was purchased brand new on Groundhogs Day, 2012, and is now 14 years old! Knock on wood, I've not had any issues with it except a tire that doesn't hold air as well as the other 3 tires. And once all of the dashboard lights came on to “Check engine”. Turns out that the computer system in the car needed to be updated, and that was that. I mainly run it on electricity around town and to nearby areas, so the mileage is in the mid-50's. However, it has been driven numerous times from Ohio to Raleigh, NC, to the Outer Banks several times, to Maryland many times, and to the Adirondacks, and often to the Cleveland Airport. So it has been driven decent miles using gasoline as well. My mpg on gasoline is typically 42, but that can vary if driving over mountains vs flat land or city driving vs country roads. It has been a very comfortable car for me. The only downside has been that heated steering wheels were not offered back then. That is the only feature that I wish it had. I've put the backseats down and over the years have transported a kayak, a bicycle, and several other large items. So useful! Heated seats make me so warm that I rarely turn on the actual car heater, which of course, helps save the battery in winter. In the winter, my mileage has been 32 miles on complete battery. But this year, it's gone down to 29 as the battery is aging. However, in the Summer, I easily get 45-50 miles. Your mpg also depends on how you drive the car. I'm not heavy-footed and tend to coast toward a red light rather than gun it then slam on my brakes. What a waste of energy! The battery regenerates while coasting, so I often will coast down hills, too. The Volt has plenty of power if in a situation where you really need a quick blast to get out of a dangerous situation — especially if running on battery. It can be up to 60 in no time! BTW, the Volt's body has held up beautifully! It looks like a new car. It has never been garaged and has sat outside in the elements for the past 14 years. My plan is to run it for many more years until issues begin to arise. But at 55,000, she's still a young pup with lots more vim and vinegar. Fingers crossed! I only wish Chevy had not converted the Volt assembly line to trucks. I think they did the general public a disservice by discontinuing them. I would buy another one if they came back.

Since 2014 I have purchased FOUR Fiat 500L's. The first was an Easy Model. With manual transmission. As a base model I was suprised at how much fun it was to drive. I traded it in 14 months later for a 2015. This was a lounge. In 2017 I bought another for myself and my wife has the 2015. I bought another 500L Trekking. I then traded the 2017 in. With two 500L's in the driveway I have a manual for my wife and automatic for me. These cars are functional and fun to drive. The easy model lacked navigation and Sirus and auto temp. Often joke they are so ugly but cute. If Fiat still made the 500L I'd buy another. I do not like the 500X as the rear area was reduced in size. It's not often I can't load a oddball size item in them. Each car has been dependable and easy to maintain. At 71 years old I'm not easy to please. I hope this helps. When I bought the first consumer reports did not rate the car very kind. I then sent a strongly worded letter to them. I lost respect for them.

Just bought my fabulous new Toyota Corolla due to mine getting hit by a huge pot hole and getting damaged beyond repair. I worked with Tony and couldn't be more happy with my experience he was no pressure he answered all of my questions and all the cars I looked it were near perfect condition and as lame as it sounds I bought one that was identical to what I already had except a lot nicer so I couldn't be more pleased. This 2013 c-max hybrid has absolutely stood the test of time , unexpectedly driving excessive miles daily for years without having any mechanical problems, we did replace worn tires and always kept up with the recommended sevice maintenance by Ford. I am really impressed by this lil car. Now being sold to continue driving a hybrid car. I defiantly would recommend the c-max.
