I was always a Toyota (because of there trucks and their flawless reliability) and Mazda driver. Several MX-5s and RX7's. I had an 87 Accord DX that was very high mileage and although the transmission would slip if you eased around or went WOT, it never broke or left me stranded. Next was a 95 EX coupe with very low miles bought during the COVID terror days. It sat alot with only 95,000 miles and had to have an alternator, master cylinder, and CV axle within the 2,000 miles of ownership. The VTEC did offer some decent go and the 5 speed made it more engaging. I currently have a 94 LX wagon. Automatic, non VTEC, no ABS. 130,000K and mostly garage kept, it is nearly flawless outside and like new within. HOWEVER: There are a few things that you will experience with a 5th gen Accord. 1. The windows with get stuck eventually from friction. The rubber seals that run parallel with the window track has to be lubricated weekly or you'll have to pull the windows up (assist). 2. You'll likely have to replace a brake master cylinder if it's still the original. 3. Vehicle speed sensor. If automatic, when it fails your without speedometer and the transmission gets real pissy because it doesn't know what gear it should usually be in. Still drivable but don't recommend. 4. Bad leak in the floorboard. Comes from the drainage that comes from the windshield and is channeled down the fender (inside) the grommet comes loose where the wiring goes into the car. Replace grommet and silicon. Fixed. With all these relatively easy to fix issues, you'll have very reliable, great handling, low fuel consumption, and decent looks. I LOVE the wagon, fold down the seats and take alot of whatever. Plus if your brave or stupid like me and remove the spare from beneath the floor, you can take more than enough "better safe than sorry" items and they stay out of sight and your way. Great cars. Not fast but even for a 30 year old car, the ergonomics and dash, interior setup and design doesn't come off dated or tacky. I would get an EX if you can, but that will get about 15-20hp, ABS, maybe leather and a moon roof. I can live without them, but they sweeten the package. Also, charged the A/C on a hunch. Works GR8! That's quality.

Top Notch Experience!
Good day/evening to all you readers. I rarely, if ever, write reviews. I am making an exception for J.J. and Car Stars, simply because of the experience. My wife and I needed a vehicle in a bad way, and were a bit dubious, due to past experiences with the dreaded "sales experience", and getting snookered. HAving set the stage, I was astounded at the lengths that JJ went to ensure that we had the best possible deal, and also explained EVERY aspect in clear and concise terms. Not once was he pushy, or arrogant, or disinterested. Buying a car on a note is not something I do frequently, so I probably will not do it again for many years, BUT if I am in the market, I will make the trek to Car Stars, and give them my money and time. Thank you JJ, and may your business continue to flourish. Michael and Erin Garner- Conroe, TX.

I have owned a honda accord since 1989. I still own my 2004 V6 coupe it's still very reliable, it's my back up car. I own a 2018 accord too. My 1989 accord lasted 360,000 miles before I got a 2000 accord. Great cars. The body needs painting from CA sun ruining it after 20 years but it will cost too much to repaint! But I still drive it!

Love for my 6th Gen
This is the first Honda I have owned and I absolutely love my car. I've always like to looks of the 6th gens and got mine for a smoken price from my co-worker. This car is super easy to work on. Especially with all of the videos that are out there. I've done all kinds of upgrades to it and parts are pretty reasonable. I just did a motor swap on it. It only had 369,000 +/- miles and it still has the original automatic transmission. Infact, most of if not all the parts I have replace where original. What an amazing car.

This is absolutely THE GREATEST CARS EVER MADE IN THE WORLD. THEY ARE BULLET-PROOF CARS made to drive for 350,000 miles or easily up to 400,000 miles since they are made to last with that incredible VTECH engine. Easy to drive, easy to park, glorious looking and fast as lightning especially with a 5 speed manual transmission.

I own the car for almost 20 years now. ZERO issues, runs smooth and am gifting it to my son who will take it to another state. It can easily last another 7-10 years if he can take care of it. You cannot easily beat an Accord. It’s a rock solid car.

The last of the great accords.
The last of the great accords. Purchased 2007 accord ex 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine in 2011 with 46,000 miles. I currently have 160,000 miles on the car. Up to recently it was just basic maintenance, oil brakes and tires etc. I had no mechanical repairs until the car was 16+ years and 150k miles, then it was just starter, control arms and 1 lower ball joint. The check engine light came on recently for the 1st time ever at 159,000. It was an oxygen sensor which I was able to replace myself. Before this car I had a VW jetta where the check engine was never off. Great car it runs and drives the same as when I first got it. Hope to drive for another 100k miles.

Just moved down to Garden City, and been shopping around for vehicles. Noticed this place as the only used car store in Garden City. Took my 2 sons here, we drove around few cars. Gentlemen here were phenomenal and we also were able to get registration and plates on the same day. Looks like I’m going to be here in NY for awhile, these guys convinced me to stay longer with the beauty of getting approved for a car! Thanks again to the experts at VK AUTO GROUP!
(The Pros And Cons Of Owning This Vehicle)
I purchased a 2005 Honda Accord (4-Door, FWD, 5-Spd Manual, 4-Cylinder, LX Trim) from a private seller. Here are some of the things I have noticed throughout ownership of this vehicle. Be aware that this generation of vehicle, due to the aging of the original engines, excess oil may be required to operate this vehicle in between oil changes. Oil changes will also be a more frequent occurrence. This vehicle uses 5W-20 conventional. The first positive attribute of this vehicle is reliability. If the vehicle is taken care of it will last 300k miles and onward. The Accords with manual transmissions are rumored to last longer than ones equipped with automatic transmissions. On a separate side note, Honda is known in the automotive community for reliability. Low maintenance cost is a secondary positive of this vehicle. The second positive attribute of this vehicle is the fuel-efficiency of the 4-cylinder engine. Gets around 25-30 mpg if driven conservatively. Varies depending on the configuration of your vehicle. The third positive attribute of this vehicle is the NHTSA Safety Rating. The driver and passenger side received 5/5 stars in testing, while the side and rollover components of the test received 4/5 stars. The fourth positive attribute of this vehicle is some of its features. Some of the more notable features include the power windows, radio, and the ice-cold a/c capabilities. The fifth positive attribute of this vehicle is the optional towing package you can have installed with a Second-Party installer. The sixth positive attribute of this vehicle is that it is perfect for high school or college students. The seventh positive attribute of this vehicle is the lower insurance rates. Varies depending on multiple conditions. The eighth positive attribute of this vehicle is that it has more luggage space than the Honda Civic. The ninth positive attribute of this vehicle is that the engineers made light maintenance easy to do. All the light components on the vehicle are easy to replace. Filling and draining the oil is easy to perform. As well as replacing the ignition coils if they happen to go bad. Engineers also gave great hand room inside the engine bay. The tenth positive attribute of this vehicle is that the manual transmission variants come with a V-TEC launch gear to ensure you can get up to speed very rapidly. The first negative attribute of this vehicle is the drivability. The vehicle often feels like you are driving a sailboat down the road. The second negative attribute of this vehicle is the 14 active safety recalls. These include the air bags, powertrain, electrical system, steering, and the fuel system. The third negative attribute of this vehicle is that it requires the user to basically fall back into a couch to get in the front seat. Not recommended for plus-sized people or people who have disabilities or conditions that prevent them from entering a car this way. The fourth negative attribute is that DIY Modifications / Additions are not recommended. Honda will void warranties on anything that is not OEM. All aftermarket additions are at risk with their current policy. The fifth negative attribute is the power steering fluid module. Units love to consistently leak and cause the vehicle to have difficulty turning. The sixth negative attribute is a lower towing capacity. The seventh negative attribute is no 4x4. I think this covers everything. Thank you for reading my scroll of a post. I hope everyone reading this has a great day.

Recommend the Honda accord lx 2008!
I have had the Honda LX for almost 3 1/2 years now and it’s such a reliable car. It drives good (and I drive it hard may I add) have only had to fix the brakes and roders just a week ago, it does burn oil like crazy and I replaced a couple tires that kept popping but other than that it’s good on gas, a smooth ride, I never plug it in in the winter and may I add it gets to -30 here and it starts every time. My car is all black tinted led lights she is nice to look at beautiful body (model) I like this car out of the 13 cars I’ve had and this is one of the older cars too I’ve had but I just love it for some reason. I would definitely recommend it. I purchased mine for a little over $7600 from a family member did some upgrades to it take good care of it mechanically the inside is always clean (some scruffs here and there as it’s an older car) but I’m sure i could sell it for $5500-$6000. Definitely a good buy and worth it.

Love this car except the windows! Lol
Amazing car, but the door windows are so large, even the slightest bit of being rolled down blows rear passengers away! Not to mention the back glass causes the rear passengers a bit of a sun burn as well! Also, the clear coat on the car literally disintegrated within a few years, even with proper care. Other than that, the Vtec is a nice feature, power everything is also nice.

Classic Honda reliability, with quirks
EX coupe, I4 engine, 5 speed manual transmission Bought this car used, traded in a Subaru Forester for it. Had about 125k ish on the odometer when purchased, coming up on 143k now with absolutely zero issues. Had to get the tire sensors replaced and a remote made for it, but I haven't had any mechanical issues whatsoever. Hondas are reliable to a fault, even more so with regular maintenance. I only run Chevron or Shell fuel, and Mobil 1 super synthetic oil to keep things clean. The computer lets me go up to 7k miles between changes! Good thing for me because this is my daily all around the state driver. Sound system is incredible stock, with an 8 inch shallow throw sub in the rear deck. As usual, Honda is known for great power trains, but a fairly cheap interior. No big unless you're looking for a luxury vehicle! Road noise is pretty average for a Honda, can be loud if you're used to Toyota or Chevy. Suspension is a little stiff and clumsy, but again, reliable. Don't expect to take this car off-road unless you want it to complain the entire way 😂 All in all, this is probably the best car I have owned to date. Sporty, stylish, and almost bulletproof. Going to give her a good tune up soon and I plan to have her for years to come!

2007 Honda Accord V6 Coupe: A Fast, Fun Car
We bought our 2007 Honda Accord as a CPO car in 2010 and have had it for 13 years now. It has the V6 engine, which we found to be very reliable; the engine has never needed a repair. The automatic transmission has also been trouble-free. This is the fastest car I've owned - almost too fast for us now that we're older. Like the 2004 Accord sedan we also owned until recently, this car has been a wonderful value. We have 137,800 miles on the car now, and I really think it will last at least that many more.

31 years of Accords
i have driven 1980s Accords for 30+ years so it took a little getting used to the much larger size of this gen of Accord when parking and maneuvering. the handling is a little mushy, probably because i have the sedan. my friend has an 07 coupe which has tighter handling. and no review would be complete without a mention of the famous durability/dependability of Honda vehicles! i am very happy with this car. :)
