Jay Wolfe Acura goes above and beyond. They have definitely risen the bar.This was the first time car buying has ever been easy for me. I went in knowing which car I wanted to buy. There was no pressure to buy anything. We were served complimentary breakfast while waiting. Everyone we came in contact with was pleasant and interested in helping me with anything I might need. The finance portion of the purchase was quick and simple. I didn't have to fill out the same info over and over. I did do the quick finance app online prior to coming in. At no time did I feel pressured or feel like they were trying to trick me into anything (like many car dealers). I was given a tour of the dealership and where to go for future service or parts. Before going home they had someone sit in the car with me and go over how to use some of the functions and even paired my phone with the Bluetooth. Waited to give an honest review. 4 years later, I know have 109,000 miles on my 2020 Pilot Tour. The bad: It developed the known crackle sound coming from the speakers. This was fixed under warranty twice. The second time not coming back and has been fine. The looks are "meh". My wife's Nissan of similar trim level has a far nicer interior and much fancier seats. On curves the "warning" light flashes on my dash and the steering wheel shakes sometimes if a car is coming from the other direction. It's annoying, but I hear a problem for many manufacturers with these safety features, not just Honda. The Good: I consider my Pilot practical. It does everything well, just not flashy. My previous car was a 2012 Honda Pilot that I put 190,000 trouble free miles on. This Pilot with an updated transmission feels MUCH quicker. It is much easier to drive. It handles well, averages around 24 mpg on my commute (non expressway), and has been trouble free outside of the speaker issue. It hauls the family well, with lots of room, especially if the 3rd row is not used. I put on the dealer installed trans cooler and trailer hitch to tow a couple of waverunners, which it hauls easily. If you can get past the "ok" styling, it is a car that does everything well and my reliability has been very, very good so far.

OVERVIEW: Found this used 2019 Pilot Touring with AWD, and 8 Passenger seating. It was in great condition. Exterior and interior colors were exactly what we wanted. Purchased it with aobut 74,500 miles on it, newish tires, roof rack rails (great for mounting a backback). Clean carfax. Overall, I'm super glad we got it. We hope we get 200k miles or more out of this Pilot just like we got on the old one The drivetrain is smooth and provides enough power to move us when all 8 seats are used. Lots of comfort and tech features came with this one. DRIVING: Very smooth transmission shifts. No gear hunting issues with the transmission like those reported on the earlier models, especially on the 2016. Feels more luxurious than sport which for us and the family, it's great. Plenty of power for a family hauler. You can use the paddle shifters in Sport mode. 4 AWD drive modes - Normal, Snow, Mud, and Sand. COMFORT: It's super quiet inside compared to the 2011 model. Not as much road or wind noise like our old Pilot. The steering and suspension handles the road nicely, especially on our crappy California pothole-filled roadways. Lots of room. Nice leather seating with ample leg room. Feels a little bigger than our 2011 Pilot. Kids confirmed it feels a little bigger. Front and middle row heated seats are great! Adjustable armrests for front driver and passenger give good support. Plenty of leg room in 2nd row. Small adults and large kids in the 3rd row will be fine. Feels roomier than the 2011. Lots of cup holders. Seats are easy to move and adjust. Single push buttons to move the middle seats forward to get in and out of the 3rd row seats! Easy to flatten them as well to give you room to haul stuff. Rear door sunshades are included in this trim as well. Sunroof with tilt comes with this model, too. Entertainment and Technology: The entertainment system is really nice. 8in touch screen with Apple CarPlay (Android Auto as well) is excellent. Love how GPS displays on the screen while having the ability to have other apps open on the phone. 10 Speakers sound great. The multiple information dashboard can be customized. Looks sleek. The screen is big, bright, colorful and I set mine to show the tripometer information - miles driven, MPG, and range. You have other options - Nav, AWD torque distribution, entertainment info, etc. Outside temp, ECON mode, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane-Keep Assist System, safety systems, and other indicators are on-screen. Rear entertainment system has yet to be tested but it can play Blu-Ray discs and has an HDMI port and AC plug for another input source. Comes with 2 wireless headsets and a remote control as well. So far, we found 4 USB charging ports. There are lighter ports available as well in case you need more power. Can't wait to figure out CabinTalk when we go on a road trip. You can communicate both ways with the rear passengers using the internal mics, speakers, and Rear entertainment headsets. The motorized rear tailgate with hands-free kick motion open and close is nice to have as well. Keyless entry system with auto-unlock and walkaway auto-locking features are included as well. Remote start is also included with the Touring trim. Safety: Bright LED headlights and well-designed daytime running lights. Auto high-beam LED headlights were a nice surprise.The Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane-Keep Assist are freakily awesome. Keep your hands on the wheel though because it's not perfect. The camera and sensors can get confused. But they're good to have for safety and driving assist, especially on long rides on open highways. Blindspot monitoring, rear cross-traffic sensing, and parking sensors are included and help in those situations. I always disable the collision mitigation feature due to potential problems with the system potentially braking at wrong and dangerous times.

Prompt and courteous service. Clean showroom and offices. Automated "paperwork" - just point and click. Salesman and finance guy very helpful and friendly. Would definitely buy from them again.

Great vehicle. Really like everything about it. It has all the safety features a vehicle could have, making it safe to drive. It has just enough power and gets great gas mileage. It offers reliability with the Honda name. Comfortable with plenty of seating!

We worked with Eddie Arnold and can't say enough nice things about him. He listened to us and kept an eye out for a car that would work for us. No complaints overall on performance and durability. Only drawbacks is road noise. If you like to avoid road noise, this car is not for you. noise is too much than expected. i even went to Honda dealer to report noise, they replied me this is normal honda noise.

Carson Lilla and Anjelo Guerra were very helpful in getting my used CR-V. They explained every step of the process and kept me updated on getting my car ready to pick up. Carson helped set up my personalized settings on the car. The car did not have a cargo cover and he keep trying until he found me one. The transition from my old CR-V to my new one was minimal. I had my old CR-V serviced at Honda of Olathe and the service, waiting area, and staff were excellent and I will continue to get service there.

Honda makes a very reliable vehicle. The Pilot comes with a bevy of extras and has a very smooth ride for a medium sized SUV.

The service lady was exceptional. She was courteous and kept us informed about the timeliness and cost of the repairs. She explained the need for each repair and made suggestions.

3rd Pilot owned in last 15 years. Each with more advanced features. Always reliable if you do all the required maint. Always a good trade value too, even with 100K + miles ! Combination of practical space, reliability, fuel economy , and performance can't be beat......Love my Honda !!

I have the TrailSport and I tow a 3000lb camper. Positives: 1. Ruggedness. I have off road tires and steel plate. I don’t plan to rock climb but camping and exploring often comes with bad roads and if your family is with you, this three row is superbly equipped and capable. 2. Comfort. The Trailsport is tuned off road but what a nice cushy ride without a lot of truck-like bounce. Potholes barely disturb it. 3. Layout. Really easy to jump in and drive away. I did not need a two-hour class at the dealership. A good blend of old and new. Not to hard to get into the menu to reset seats and few other things. 4. Towing. I towed 3000lb at 75mph with no problem. It was steady, tracked well and with the trailer brake (added on) it stopped just fine and gas mileage was great at about 13-14mpg loaded up. I was as high as 11,000 feet. It’s really a great all purpose family vehicle to tow the camper or boats. Negatives: 1. Solid black vinyl interior. You only get black and it gets hot as xxxx if it’s in the sun with a window down or door open. You cannot get ventilated seats. Honda, seriously, add another lighter color. 2. You cannot get a bench middle seat which I prefer and is in ALL the other Pilots. 3. Speed. The power is good but it’s geared for off road and towing so really it’s a neutral but it will not take off like lots of others unless you press the pedal pretty hard. It’s not lacking, just takes more pedal travel. Overall, I love it as a good value for the money, well equipped with the 360 cameras I love and tows and does dirt roads well. I would NOT get this model for soccer team suburban duty but if you do real SUV things then it’s hard to beat. I am also not afraid of future expensive repairs being a Honda with a tried and true engine.

During our time at McCarthy Honda we worked with Ben and he is incredible at his job! He is a straight shooter and his motivation really was to find a car that was the best fit for us. He happily and professionally handled all of our questions, comments & concerns. He was knowledgeable about the cars in stock, financing options and respectful of our boundaries. We did find a car we loved, but it was outside of our decided budget. During negotiations we worked with Rodney. He patiently and kindly explained exactly why the price point we were trying to negotiate down to wasn’t feasible, but he did try to find creative solutions to get us in something similar within our budget. Even after he realized the sale likely wasn’t going to happen, he was never patronizing or dismissive. Ultimately, we did not end up purchasing a vehicle during this visit. We are going to keep up with their new inventory as it comes in online because we actually WANT to buy from them. After almost 180,000 trouble-free miles with our 2015 Pilot and an excellent Honda dealer near by, we really didn’t look hard at anything but another Pilot when it was time for a new car. Our EXL, purchased in March 2024, just turned 20,000 miles. We have had no issues with it, and the trip computer says we have averaged 27.1 mpg over the last 5500 miles. That is about 4.5 mpg better than the 2015. The good: It is extremely roomy and comfortable, even the third-row seats. We are very pleased with the fuel economy for a vehicle of this size. The headlights are the best we’ve had on any vehicle. I really like the rugged looks, especially compared the the previous generation. It’s great on snowy and slippery surfaces. The not-as-good: This is my first vehicle with all the modern safety aids. I find the lane-departure system annoying, especially in construction zones. The first time I backed out of the garage with bikes on a hitch-mounted carrier, the car automatically slammed on the brakes so hard I thought I ran into something. (Pro tip: Use tow mode when hauling bikes.) I don’t use the adaptive cruise control because it starts matching the speed of the vehicle ahead long before I would normally change lanes to pass, even with the system adjusted accordingly. However, I can’t see that future vehicles will have FEWER of these features, so I suppose I will just have to get used to them.

I love our 2016 Pilot EXL AWD. We bought it as a one year old CPO coming off a lease. It has had its share of the first year model blues. Not as reliable as I want it to be, but once the bugs were fixed, it’s been pretty smooth sailing. I love how it’s always ready for any adventure. The extra room is always welcome as we drive up and down the East cost between FL and NJ. We get to bring everything we needed and never worried about the weather. The AWD is great not just in the snow, but in any weather. Best AWD I’ve driven in the snow. The VTM4 AWD works so well, you’d think you’re driving a full time 4WD vehicle in the snow. It also helps in the rain as well. Accelerating with this much weight and a powerful engine requires a lot of traction. Coming out out of a corner in an incline, most front drive vehicles would spin their tires before the stability control stops the spin to regain control. The VTM4 senses the incline and automatically applies power to the rear wheels adding significant traction. Never spun the wheels of our pilot in the rain. Our FWD Passport, on the other hand, looses tracking during acceleration in the rain specially if it’s on an incline. One regret for buying that AWD SUV. We thought we won’t miss the AWD in the south. Now the 2016 Pilot certainly had so many bugs that would deter a lot of people from buying it used. We had the CPO warranty. And on top of that, we bought an extended warranty just because. Turned out to be a good idea. Most the the quirks happened during the warranty periods. From an expensive evap failure to transmission problems to sunroof issues to battery replacement. We had the famous transmission judder that required multiple visits until they finally had a permanent fix. Multiple fluid flushes and a software reprogramming took care of it. The sunroof didn’t want to close at times. Weird considering we don’t even use it often. Warranty covered everything. After the warranty expired, I learned that resetting the sunroof was an easy task. There were a few problems that I couldn’t remember or not technical enough to understand, but they were all fixed under warranty. Now driving it without warranty. So far it’s been good. Just keep up with the maintenance schedule and it should be fine. Replaced the OEM tires with Michelins CrossCimate2. It feels like it can go anywhere. Wet driving was further enhanced. The OEM tires had good traction, but wore out too quickly. Silly me bought a second set before going to Michelins. Overall, it’s a really nice SUV that’s fun to drive. It has plenty of power to haul 7 people easily or 3 people, one small dog, and everything needed for long distance traveling. It has an awesome AWD system that can get you anywhere. It helped us navigate around flooded areas on our way back home after Hurricane Irma. Where smaller vehicles couldn’t pass, we went through. The things we went through would have stranded a less capable SUV. Only thing missing really is CarPlay. We missed it my a year. Oh well.

Another great aspect is that the financing lady we worked with named America helped us get a great APR by using a program that scouted out credit union rates for us and then showed us an affordable warranty program which really helps us feel confident. Last but not least I'm so impressed by Honda as a company. Our odyssey has everything I wanted: reliability, comfortable chairs, DVD player, beautiful console, etc. I really didn't think anything could make me switch from Toyota but this company sold me. A+

The SUV meet all my family need with space, seating and tech that come from the factory are perfect for us. My wife works as an independent contractor she has a lot of equipment to move during the job hours. Picking kids from school after work work out perfectly without having to toll trailer around with her.
