I've had my 2005 element for 3years. It's had a new belt, oil change, and tires, so far. Not bad for 150000 miles. Cleaning is easy, and good visibility on the road. I do love it.

The most reliable car that I have ever own it has 109000k miles and runs perfect, never had a mechanical problems, is rummy inside for fitting things and also has leg and head room. The sits folds giving you lots of space. Is just a GREAT car.

Over all good car but 4 cyl engine lacks power. A 6 cyl should have been an option. Door locks (actuator) not reliable. Transmission ,breaks , and suspension are great.

Be aware that this generation of vehicle, due to the aging of the original engines, excess oil may be required to operate this vehicle in between oil changes. Oil changes will also be a more frequent occurrence. This vehicle uses 5W-20 conventional. The first positive attribute of this vehicle is reliability. If the vehicle is taken care of it will last 300k miles and onward. The Accords with manual transmissions are rumored to last longer than ones equipped with automatic transmissions. On a separate side note, Honda is known in the automotive community for reliability. Low maintenance cost is a secondary positive of this vehicle. The second positive attribute of this vehicle is the fuel-efficiency of the 4-cylinder engine. Gets around 25-30 mpg if driven conservatively. Varies depending on the configuration of your vehicle. The third positive attribute of this vehicle is the NHTSA Safety Rating. The driver and passenger side received 5/5 stars in testing, while the side and rollover components of the test received 4/5 stars. The fourth positive attribute of this vehicle is some of its features. Some of the more notable features include the power windows, radio, and the ice-cold a/c capabilities. The fifth positive attribute of this vehicle is the optional towing package you can have installed with a Second-Party installer. The sixth positive attribute of this vehicle is that it is perfect for high school or college students. The seventh positive attribute of this vehicle is the lower insurance rates. The third negative attribute of this vehicle is that it requires the user to basically fall back into a couch to get in the front seat. Not recommended for plus-sized people or people who have disabilities or conditions that prevent them from entering a car this way. The fourth negative attribute is that DIY Modifications / Additions are not recommended. Honda will void warranties on anything that is not OEM. All aftermarket additions are at risk with their current policy. The fifth negative attribute is the power steering fluid module. Units love to consistently leak and cause the vehicle to have difficulty turning. The sixth negative attribute is a lower towing capacity. The seventh negative attribute is no 4x4. This is my 5th Accord. I have owned one since 1987. Each time I have purchased a used model. I bought my current 2010 Accord with 125,000 miles on it 4 years ago. It now has 180,000 miles and just past inspection. Burns no oil. Has NO leaks (oil, rain or otherwise). No "idiot" lights on the dashboard, and rides like new. In 35 years (and 5 Accords) I have NEVER been stuck! Not once! Don't get too hung up on any negative details you might see or hear of. The resale value is near the best. The gas mileage is more than decent. I am over 6 feet tall and the driver's seat in more comfortable and supportive than any other vehicle I have sat in. This includes BMW, Lexus, Mercedes and Cadillac. As for dependability, it just might be the best. If you're in the market for a used car, I suggest that you at very least, test drive one.

Although I had some issues with the closing a call to the manager and it was resolved within the hour. The salesman was great!

Amazing car, but the door windows are so large, even the slightest bit of being rolled down blows rear passengers away! Not to mention the back glass causes the rear passengers a bit of a sun burn as well! Also, the clear coat on the car literally disintegrated within a few years, even with proper care. Other than that, the Vtec is a nice feature, power everything is also nice.

The last of the great accords. Purchased 2007 accord ex 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine in 2011 with 46,000 miles. I currently have 160,000 miles on the car. Up to recently it was just basic maintenance, oil brakes and tires etc. I had no mechanical repairs until the car was 16+ years and 150k miles, then it was just starter, control arms and 1 lower ball joint. The check engine light came on recently for the 1st time ever at 159,000. It was an oxygen sensor which I was able to replace myself. Before this car I had a VW jetta where the check engine was never off. Great car it runs and drives the same as when I first got it. Hope to drive for another 100k miles.

I’ve owned my lx 2008 Honda Element FWD 5 speed manual transmission since i bought it new… replaced 1 alternator, 1 water pump, i’m on my 3rd clutch but i also have almost 400,000 miles on it it’s more than paid for itself and still runs great… I’d trust it to go anywhere

This car runs great and reliable. 2nd row seat can be removed and 3rd row seat back fold flat to make it bi carry space. It can set up to sleep for two people or three.
