Bought this CRV AWD Touring new in 2019. Have 130,000 miles on it, no problems. Only time it’s at the dealership is for regular service. Gets 33 to 36 MPG . Excellent vehicle!

I bought my 6th Honda from Kevin, 3 Accords, 2 Pilots, 1 Passport. This Passport is my best one. My experience buying from Kevin is the most friendly, professional buying experience you could have. Our relationship is such that I buy over the phone. The Honda I trade in never is on the lot more than several weeks. The entire employee staff make you feel as if you are the most important person there. A golfing buddy took my advice & bought an Accord trading in a Camry. After almost 180,000 trouble-free miles with our 2015 Pilot and an excellent Honda dealer near by, we really didn’t look hard at anything but another Pilot when it was time for a new car. Our EXL, purchased in March 2024, just turned 20,000 miles. We have had no issues with it, and the trip computer says we have averaged 27.1 mpg over the last 5500 miles. That is about 4.5 mpg better than the 2015. The good: It is extremely roomy and comfortable, even the third-row seats. We are very pleased with the fuel economy for a vehicle of this size. The headlights are the best we’ve had on any vehicle. I really like the rugged looks, especially compared the the previous generation. It’s great on snowy and slippery surfaces. The not-as-good: This is my first vehicle with all the modern safety aids. I find the lane-departure system annoying, especially in construction zones. The first time I backed out of the garage with bikes on a hitch-mounted carrier, the car automatically slammed on the brakes so hard I thought I ran into something. (Pro tip: Use tow mode when hauling bikes.) I don’t use the adaptive cruise control because it starts matching the speed of the vehicle ahead long before I would normally change lanes to pass, even with the system adjusted accordingly. However, I can’t see that future vehicles will have FEWER of these features, so I suppose I will just have to get used to them.

We drove up to Jasper Honda from Birmingham to buy a CRV to replace the one we bought from them in 2017. Same salesperson (Tommie) and manager (Tom) that we dealt with then. As before, we had an excellent experience and felt we agreed upon a fair price. Well worth the hours drive.

Bought a neglected 2005 CRV in 2020 with 150k miles on it. Did most of the repairs myself (extensive YouTube videos) and cheap parts are available. I put in Royal Purple high mileage oil, changed out the transmission fluid (really easy) every 15k miles. New plugs and wires, rear differential fluid change, valve cover gasket, and vvt solenoid with O2 sensors. Believe it or not that’s only $400 and I paid $2000. It runs like new. Only bad feature is the paint is terrible for this silver car in Florida. Going strong with 185k miles and I fully expect to get more than 220k.
