The 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Plug-In Hybrid has met all of my expectations. A smooth quiet ride and an off-road hunting vehicle all wrapped up in one. Enough power to take me up and through steep passes yet a head turner in the city while cruising along the streets. The interior is comfortable, and the back seat can fold down to haul long pieces of lumber from the home improvement store. This is a cross between a truck and an elegant car. Best thing is I save a lot of money using the electric mode.

I was fortunate enough to be able to buy this car when someone who ordered it a year prior was not able to get financing. I bought the limited trim which is incredibly luxurious and my other car is a BMW M440 convertible. It has virtually every feature of a high-end luxury car. It is incredibly quiet and surprisingly quick off the line. It doesn’t seem to get much in the way of publicity, but I find it to be a superior vehicle.

It was a cash transaction for me, but my BF was in the market for a Ranger, and he purchased at the same time. We knew exactly what we needed to do at all times. Can't say enough about the whole experience.

Bought 10/15/21 and have 15,500 miles on it. Other than a couple of oil changes and a tire rotation no service or maintenance. I was pleased to see in this review the electric only (EV) mileage the reviewer got. I'm finding this to be consistent with what I'm receiving. I'm getting 35-36 even when the trips are mostly on the freeway. The SUV is able to cruise @ 80 MPH on the battery only. Freeway road trips I'm getting 33-34 MPG in states with speed limits of less than 75 MPH, it drops down in states with an 80 MPH limit. The steering is easy to get used to, and has a tight turning turning radius. The ride is a bit soft but very comfortable on the freeways. Added touches like front glass (windshield and front doors) are UV blocking and sound damping makes for a nice and quiet ride. Adjustable, heated and reclining rear seats added to the generous front and second row legroom makes 4+ adults comfortable. The drivers controls and button array are well organized and quickly learned, unlike the Tuscan which is a big black glass panel (no buttons or dials) - all digital with hundreds of potential choices through many screen levels. We are thoroughly enjoying this vehicle and would would buy it again in a heartbeat. The brakes take some getting used to because of the regenerative braking, but coming to a smooth complete stop is easily learned. What would I change? I'd like to see some sort of indicator for when the hydraulic brakes engage (not just using regenerative braking), for some reason Hyundai put a charging system that is half as fast at the Tuscan's + this virtually eliminates charging stations usage because of the time it takes. Using a level 2 charger and a battery at 17% or less (when the car automatically switches to Hybrid mode) it is taking me 3.5 hours to recharge. For everyday use, in which we rarely go over the EV range, the electricity costs are running me $25 a month - sadly not enough for me to justify solar panels on the roof. I should also mention that the break-in period is extended due to the time spend in EV mode in town. The electric motor offers much acceleration in the last couple months and the highway mileage on the road trips is 2-3 MPG better than when the car was new.

The car is nice, there are some areas where it would make more sense to have made changes. Wireless Apple CarPlay for one is something that should be a must in all cars, the cable that was included in the car would have been nicer to be a 120/240v so that you could work higher amperage’s and charge faster. Helping to have a home charger installed would be nice or even offering the option. The markups are a big downside, while negotiating isn’t impossible, but it was unnecessary. Why not just offer upgrades as requirements towards the cost instead of dealers just getting extra money.

I had a wonderful experience with carmax in Westborough. Very friendly staff, very clean. They don't harass you. Upon entering the building, I was greeted and directed to the vehicles I was interested. I ventured the lot on my own and able to check out the vehicle. All the details were located on the window or they have touch screens with the info of the cars on the lots. Chris C was my sales person, he was very quick to respond to questions I had after I left the lot and also gave me detailed information about the cars I was interested in purchasing without haggling me to buy the more expensive car. When I had a question for him he would always answer it and send the brochure or the car detail info so I had it. The day I made my decision I was driving off the lot in a preowned vehicke within a few hours. I was extremely happy with my experience and would recommend Carmax in Westborough for anyone searching for a preowned vehicle. And i had been to other dealerships for test rides.

I visited on the second day being opened and had a great experience in buying a 2022 Explorer and trading in a 2016. It was seamless. Had an issue with the new car that turned out to be a factory defect that they had Ford correct. All good. I’ll be back.

I bought a new Sonata yesterday. Andy sold it to me and he was just wonderful! He was so helpful in giving me options and helping me to decide which car was best for me. I was nervous about all the technology the car had and he answered all my questions. I was also reassured by him telling me that I could come back anytime with questions and they would help me. This 5 stars in for one employee in particular. Tim Gardner in the service dept. My little story... I had recently purchased my vehicle on April 1 & had to return it on April 4th due to the speakers, window and a little idle. It was now 4/16/2018 and my car was still not finished because the speakers were missing a part that need to come from Korea, they told me my car would be finished no later than Monday and that was a promise...So long story short everyone I spoke with said they would call me back and help me figure this out and no one did, they called with the same info about waiting for a part but no new news. Thankfully I called in 4/17/18 to check on my vehicle on when the part will be in and Tim (which was my first time speaking with i'm through these couple of weeks.) and he said the part was scheduled to arrive on 4/24/18 I was furious. Here I am driving loaner cars and not even able to enjoy my new car for a whole month. He listened to me and quickly went into action and said I am going to help you, we are going to fix this. Literally in 2 hours he called back said that they can get my car to a certain place and they can do it if I agree and also offered me a couple of other things and said I will get your car to you by today or tomorrow after he explained this to a manager. All in two hours! and I couldn't get a straight answer for two weeks! Tim called me when it left car max and when it came back and tested the stereo for me himself! He completely turned my whole experience back to a positive one again and now I am truly happy he went above and beyond and keep his word! He was very kind and put actions to his words! He is definitely the highlight of my week! now I can drive my new car thanks to TIM Gardner.! Thank you TIM! You don't know how happy we are!

I have updated my review to reflect the outstanding job Jeff the service manager has done to fix my issues. Upon learning of the problems Jeff looked over my account and realized that my extended warranty was not in their system. He went above and beyond to figure out why these repairs were not covered and he helped me find out that my warranty was actually through Fidelity not Hyundai like I thought. He got this info by contacting the dealership I bought my car from and went above and beyond to get to the heart of the issue and I appreciate him doing that. The staff at this location is always friendly and professional and Jeff worked really hard to make sure I was taken care of. Having a manager like Jeff on staff to fix issues when they occur is very important and he did a great job of resolving the issues I had.
