Jonathan Martin provided a very straightforward buying experience, remained responsive throughout the pre-purchase/purchase timeframe, and followed-up to ensure all actions were accomplished to my satisfaction. The Price: This dealer beat the next best price, had the least dealer wrap fees, and the web-advertised price was exactly as stated. When I arrived to purchase the car (I flew in from out of state), they had found an additional incentive to apply to my price--this incentive covered my airline ticket and then some! The Service: Jonathan Martin (sales) and Anthony Heaper (finance/business) were quick, professional, and thorough. The biggest wait was with my credit union's weekend team--haha! The Car: The car was detailed, and exactly as described. It was full of fuel at delivery. Joe walked me through some of the features that were new from my previous vehicle. The Back Story: Our previous car was destroyed when another person ran a red light and hit it. We were pretty upset, since that model is no longer sold in the US. The new car is great, and after my 500 mile trip home, I am happy to say that it performs very similarly. It should be cheaper to operate than the TDi, also. Great job, VW.

My daughter always buys Hyundai cars she told me to should get a Hyundai when I was looking to trade my other Vehicle. I actually went on an APP and looked first at the vehicles for sale. I told the dealership what I was looking for and the color.
I had my old car for 13+ years (time flies!), so I was definitely needing a replacement. Trent Custard & Columbia Honda made it very easy for me to find a new vehicle that "fit" me just as well as my old car did. I drove a few different styles around for a couple of days each and finally settled on the 2017 CR-V. Having the chance to take the cars home with me was perfect. I was able to drive around and figure things out at my own pace and not feel like someone was looking over my shoulder while I was trying to make a decision. Even signing the paperwork was so much easier than expected! I had always anticipated a huge headache to come along with buying a new car (which was partially why I waited so long to get a new car!), but that was definitely not what I experienced working with Trent at Columbia Honda.

I have owned this car for two months and I am pleasantly surprised. I am a pre-retirement age and I needed to move to a bigger, more comfortable car for both commuting and long-distance (750+ miles) driving. A Hyundai car was a no-brainer for me because of reliability and 5-yr 60K miles warranty. So far we owned two Elantras, a Sonata, and a Tucson. Other than normal 5K mile maintenance, I don't think ALL of them together were repaired more than 5-6 times during a 10-yr time period. I chose a standard SE AWD model. For me it is sufficiently equipped and has impressive safety features. I need an AWD version since I drive in a hilly terrain and also in some snowy areas of the Midwest. Negatives first: I was disappointed when I found the car did not have a CD player. My car doesn't come with a satellite radio either. My 2008 Sonata GLS and the standard Elantra had both. However, I managed to solve both problems. Since I had Sirius XM subscription in my traded in Sonata Sirius sent me a free portable XM radio which connects through an AUX jack. I also bought an AIS car CD player for $199 which powers on and connects through one of the front USB ports. They connect to the car radio system and I can easily switch between radio, CD, and XM with one push of a button. I fit them easily into the front console box and secured them by weatherstripping foam so they look like they are a part of the dashboard. The second negative is the automatic engine Stop/Start system. It works as it pleases. Sometimes it shuts the engine immediately upon stop for a second or two but another time keeps it idling for 1-2 minutes at a long red light. The positives are interior space and very comfortable front seats and lots passenger space in the rear. Four USB ports and integrated radio, CD, XM, Android, and phone Bluetooth systems are fun to use. Under the floor rear storage spaces are very handy and I use them often. Rear seats can be reclined which is great. Rear folded seats provide 76 inch of loading space which is nothing to complain about. The 185 HP 2.4L engine provides adequate power although acceleration is rather sluggish. I was pleasantly surprised with gas mileage. 90% of my driving are short 5-10 mile commuting distances. My average mileage so far is 26-27 MPG. Occasional highway driving yields about 31-33 MPG. This is a heavier car yet it's more fuel efficient than Sonata. Large fuel tank allows for up 500+ mile range. My first long-distance test will happen later this month when I plan to drive a 2500 mile stretch across the South and Midwest.
On a bright and sunny Thursday evening I was on my home from work. It was about 5:30 when I hit a curb and popped my tire. A friend and her husband came to change the tire and we quickly found out that my lugnut "key" was no longer in my possession. I called Columbia Honda thinking that they had neglected to return the "key" to lugnut bag. I spoke with TJ Mitchell who is the Assistant Service Manager. He assured me that his service department did not have it since they did not use the customer's keys. They had several sets to fit a variety of models. I voiced my disappointment because I really had no idea where the key was and how I was going to get my tire changed. TJ inquired about my location and told me that he would be there in about 30 minutes (he was clear across town) with some sets to get the tire off. What?! He was coming to help? That was awesome!! He arrived some time later and attempted to find the correct "key" to remove the lugnut. My relief was short lived as he found that the sets he had couldn't unlock the lugnut. Now, what was I going to do? TJ then asked me to give him some more time. He was going to go back to the dealership and get more sets. He then asked for my keys and told me that he would get the tire changed and lock my keys in the car and it will be done in about an hour! I was floored. Here was this guy that had no reason to spend his time to fix my mistake, but he was doing it! We left and a few hours later I returned to my car and to find that not only had he changed to tire, but he had removed and replaced on the locked lugnuts. I would now have no trouble changing my tires! I purchased my car from Columbia Honda and have taken it to them for every oil change. The service department has always been helpful, kind, and informative. They inform me of areas of concern that they find and give me options on how to handle them. However, this act of service truly went above and beyond what I would ever expect. Thank you to TJ for his generous sacrifice of his time and talent.

Our 2nd Hyundai - 2019 Santa Fe Ultimate 2.0T FWD

I've always (until recently) been an "American car guy." However, I love our new Santa Fe Ultimate. The 2019 exterior re-design is much more "macho" than the previous design, interior is much nicer also.
Priced $$$ less than competitive models, and Hyundai doesn't kill you with $ thousands in add ons... just buy the trim you like and nearly everything is already included, all we had to add on were mud flaps and cargo tray, so no "hidden costs." Warranty is phenomenal. Comfort is phenomenal, love the driver memory features for the seat/mirrors. Doesn't handle like my last car (2010 Shelby) but the 2.0T is peppy. As review noted a bit of turbo lag but doesn't bother me... you'd never know it was a 2 liter! Ride quality if excellent and cabin is very stylish (at least on the Ultimate). Love the 2-tone leather seating/interior (ours is a taupe brown and gray). The safety features are phenomenal, as are the LED lights, smart cruise control, 360 camera, 12 speaker system, iridescent interior/dash lights, air conditioned seats, industry-leading tech (Apple and Android car play), heads up display, etc etc. Can't say for the lower level models (noting they also come with all the safety features/lane change warning/pedestrian sensor, etc), but we love the Ultimate. Gas mileage not great with the turbo, but we do mostly city driving so 22-23 is not bad for a mid-size SUV. We're in Hawaii so no need for AWD, so we got the FWD version. Bottom line with the Ultimate you'd never know you're driving a Hyundai vice a Lexus, they've really kicked up their game and for thousands less than Honda, Toyota, Ford, etc... and best warranty in the industry. Also a Top Safety Pick +.

Overall I love my Kona. Limited. The 1.6 turbo has plenty of punch and has the power to pass or merge onto the Interstate without worry. It has minimal turbo lag. Seats are comfortable Interior is a little spartan despite the leather in the Limited. Corners well. Small cargo area but expected in this price range. This is a daily driver and I really enjoy driving it. No quality issues. Highly recommend this car
Cris Alvizo was a great help , this would be the guy I'd buy a car from ! He knows what he is doing , he is a kind guy and understands.

my azera has performed better than Cadillac or Lincoln. not one problem in four years-very dependable and comfortable. styling is head turning. would buy another if manufactured
After shopping around, the 2019 Santa Fe Limited was the car for me. It is beautiful inside and out. It has very IMPRESSIVE safety features. It is very roomy with plenty of leg room, front and back. The ride is very smooth. I LOVE everything about it.
We sent an email Thurs morning saying we were interested in a specific car--It wasn't very long before Samuel Stovall called us... per our request, we set up an appointment for 10:30 the next morning---we got there and Sam met us at the front doors with the car we were interested in.. took a test drive and filled out the paperwork ( Sam was very helpful with the paperwork)-- Eric Highley did an awesome job getting us a great rate on our financing---we were signing the papers before noon--- had to wait just a little bit for them to finish detailing the car BUT that was okay as it was a nice day and we sat out on the patio sipping tea---when the car was ready, Sam took the time to answer all our questions and show us how everything works.... Awesome Customer Service from Sam Stovall, Eric Highley and everybody else involved in the transaction--- it went smoothly and was done in a short time--- the only way it could have been faster is IF we had filled out the financial info online ( like we did last time we bought a vehicle) and emailed it ahead of time... We are repeat buyers BUT it was 18 years ago that we bought the truck from them-- it was an awesome vehicle with no major mechanical problems- with the excellent customer service we received the 1st time, we naturally came back to Joe Machens Ford.... I also wanted to say in response to another review I read on Google, we are NOT wealthy people / "important people" NOR look wealthy--just plain old everyday folk and we received AWESOME SERVICE.... I loved the fresh popcorn and the wide variety of drinks ( raspberry tea is to die for)... the restroom were clean and well stocked.. and the huge TV and lounge area was great.. as was the patio. Thanks Sam and Eric for everything... Van and Nancy Kessler

After 100k...drop it like it's hot.

I bought it used with 90k on it. Got a good price, it was in great condition, everything was fine.
Honestly though, not one problem...until it blew a head gasket at 120k.
It is in no way an easy fix (knew that ahead of time). Apparently, Hyundai's solution, is to replace the entire engine. I found someone to "fix" it. Well, a month later, they are...wait for it...replacing the engine.
Now, my summation for this car, as the title states, is that it's a great vehicle, until you get past 100k. Then, and many forums show this, things get real expensive. And this is no matter how well you take care of it.
So lease maybe?

Vroom has a very streamlined process

This is my second vehicle purchased from Vroom in the last 12 months, and I can't imagine ever buying a used car from a brick-and-mortar dealership again. Vroom offers a terrific selection of late model used vehicles. The pictures really make it easy to know what the car looks like. I purchased a 2015 BMW 5-series, and the Vroom price compared to a similar make/model/mileage vehicle from CarMax was $3,000+ cheaper. I selected my vehicle over a few weeks of looking at photos. I filled out a credit application online, and they immediately called me to finalize the app, discuss rates and payments, and to get my $500 deposit. I received a loan package via FedEx 2 days later, signed all the paperwork, and sent it back in the pre-paid FedEx envelope they provided. About 3 days later, I started getting emails to schedule delivery. The process only took 9 business days from the moment I made the deposit to the moment I got my vehicle. The vehicle was clean, just as described, and runs great. Now I just need to get a state inspection and add this to my insurance policy, and the tags will be mailed to me in a few weeks. Thankfully, Vroom gives me a 60-day temp tag so there is ample time to receive the plates. This is the future of car-buying, and the 7-day money back guarantee makes it the perfect way to purchase a used vehicle.
I've been a customer of this dealer since 2011, when I bought my Tucson. Just yesterday (2017), I drove to Jefferson City from two hours away for a very important appointment and was stranded there (with my puppy) by a malfunction in my engine. It was a beat-the-clock moment! Their team squeezed my car into their busy day's schedule, fixed it by the time they said they would, and got me on the road back home with a great-sounding engine and a lot of pickup! In addition, they put up with my nervous pacing while they worked and were respectful and friendly throughout. It was a stressful day for me, and in addition to the great service, Lisa made me feel very much at home. I always appreciate the service I get at Jefferson City Hyundai. They take care of me.

Pinch me! Can’t believe I drive this much car for what I paid! 18 Value Edition, nearly fully loaded; Sunroof, blind spot, Apple Car Play and push button start. Auto climate control and heated seats are amazing in winter. Don’t even want to get out of the car. Air super cool in the summer. Transmission shifts like butter. Engine at idle so quiet, I have gotten out without pushing the button thinking the car was off already. Only car I’ve ever owned without a single squeak or rattle at this point of ownership. All the power you need on sport mode. Getting avg 38-40 mpg daily on work commute. Back up camera with dynamic guidelines and monitor THE best of any car rental I’ve ever driven. Wow!
Got my oil change in 30-40 minutes for my Hyundai. No problems. Answered my questions. Travis was not my guy today when in entered the service area, but previously he took care of a bulb problem for me. The person today, Nov 14, took care of me promptly. Good price on oil change as a coupon sent previously in paper for 19.99.

I had the best experience with Arvin Ridley he showed me all my options available. Im am paying just a lil over my old payment for a car 13 years newer!!! Now thats good work!
The salesperson listened to what I wanted, asked solid follow up questions to better understand my needs, and didn't try to convince me I was mistaken in my own preferences. I found the negotiation process fun, & I'm confident that I got a good car for a good price. I made this purchase 2 months ago. After the initial new-car thrill has faded, I still feel very strongly about the quality of the staff at JC Autoplex & Damien in particular.

Engine died at 49,000 miles
by Surfergirl5000 from San Francisco, CA

I bought my 2016 used when it was two years old and had 35,000 miles on it. At 49,000 miles the engine died and needed to be replaced. I was lucky that I did not go over the 50,000 mile mark, because then I would not have qualified for a free replacement since I was the second owner. The new engine is doing well, but this is still a cautionary tale. Also, I had t get one headlamp replaced about five times before it worked properly, and that was expensive.
