In the early stages of car shopping for a family-friendly SUV, we stopped by City Auto in Murfreesboro, TN while out there running errands. We were not there anticipating to purchase a vehicle that day. However, things changed.
Steven Ray, the salesman, was the first to greet us. He was not pushy, annoying, or anything like your stereotypical salesman would be in your head. He asked questions and let us talk more than he talked. He was very personable and made our experience outstanding. He provided a thorough answer to ever y question we had. If he didn't know, he made a quick phone call to get the answer we needed. He insisted a test drive in a few different models, just to get an idea of what we were looking for - even though we made it clear we weren't looking to purchase that day. (... I guess that's how they get you)
He walked us through what to expect in the buying process. Gave us little hints to get better pricing and APR.
After the sale, he called us numerous times to ensure that we were happy. A few days after the sale, a few weeks later, then a month or two down the road.

We recently purchased a 2017 370Z from the downtown location. From the minute I sent an email late one night asking if the car could be transferred from the Mt. Juliet location to the downtown location so we could take a test drive (the answer came back quickly and was "yes") until we signed on the dotted line a couple of days later, we had nothing but a great experience. We do our due diligence when buying a car so we go in knowing what a fair price is for whatever car we want to purchase. There was no haggling over the price of the 370Z. It was priced to sell. Everyone we encountered at the downtown location was kind and courteous. We will definitely look to them in the future when it comes time to look for another car or truck!

Evan was awesome! We drove 3 hours after finding the car online. The Sonic Price made it simple - I knew it was a great deal and I didn't have to waste my time haggling to get the price where it should be. From the moment I walked into the showroom I knew this was going to be a different experience than the other dealers I had visited.
I was greeted immediately by a sales manager and was offered drinks, snacks, etc while the salesman was coming over. The salesman listened to my list of ‘wants’ in the car. They had a tremendous selection of vehicles that fit was I was looking for all with extremely low miles, perfect service records, and great prices. I quickly found the exact car I was looking for.
The buying process was similar to other dealerships in there is time that goes along in putting together financing documents, etc. However, this was a Friday afternoon/night and I’m sure they were ready to go but they were very professional and worked to get me a great financing rate.
The professionalism and customer service is top notch. I would recommend this dealership to anyone!

SOLD: They gave me a very fair price on a 2003 Honda CRV with roughly 180K miles. The process was quick and painless. You do not have to buy a car from them to sell a car to them. I had done my homework before and knew what it was worth and I was offered a price higher than Kelly Blue Book.
BUY: Buying a used car was more complicated. It took test driving many and lots of time on their website before I found one that met the very specific details I was looking for. I decided on CarMax because I did have a very specific car in mind that I had not been able to find private seller in the two plus months I'd been looking. Also, my sales associate CARLTON BOWEN was fantastic.He spent roughly a month helping me look at cars making calls to other dealerships and coordinating multiple test drives etc. I know having him as a salesperson made a huge difference. I had looked at other dealerships and was treated only like a wallet from the moment I entered. He worked hard to help me find what I needed in a car and was pleasant and respectful the entire time. Not at all the experience I had at other dealerships. With all of the hidden fees etc other places have, carmax was not more expensive. I was glad not to give my money to sketchy people at another place.
