I recently (3/07) purchased a left over 2006 Ascender. With the high discount and the dealer offered 0% 5 year financing, It was an offer I could not refuse. I hated to part with my 2001 Trooper, but they offered more on trade in than I expected. So far (1300 miles) no complaints. Gas mileage is as advertised. Drove in mud, slush, ice in upstate PA two weeks ago without any problem. Seems to have more room than the Trooper and a lot more creature comforts (I got the Ltd.). Still some new 06's hanging around and plenty of 07's. As the car is a Chevy TrailBlazer clone, parts should not be a problem. 7 year 75K warranty beats Chevy's.

Searched high and low for a nice vehicle for months. I visited tens of car lots and God just did not see fit for me to purchase from them. Either they jacked the prices up tremendously from what the vehicle was actually worth or when you would start the car, it had several code lights on. I took my time and I found swerve auto. Listen, when I spoke with Zach over the telephone, he was very confident in his vehicles and stood behind them in a way that made me want to come and see for myself. When I arrived to his lot, not only did he have great cars, trucks and SUV’s, but the prices was reasonable asking price to pay cash for. Zach was so nice and professional! All of his vehicles were cleaned up immaculately, I was afraid that I was over budget for the suv that I really wanted. Listen, Zach made a way for me to take my dream car home and listen it’s mine!! He was so passionate about making sure that I was happy, It was unbelievable. My truck was so clean it looked as if no one even ever drove it. Miles were low and again, the price was fair. I will definitely carry swerve auto’s card and info in my glove box because if and when I ever need anything else, I wouldn’t feel comfortable going to anyone but him. Awesome!!

152000 miles, nothing done to it but basic maintenance. I bought it used for $4300 a few years ago, and couldn't ask for a more reliable little vehicle. Like any vehicle that is 13 years old and a 4x4, it's not great on gas. I get 15-18 MPG, but that is to be expected. The interior is roomy enough for me (6'2", 360 lbs), and would be plenty for a smaller person. I would love to see Isuzu come back to the US market and release a new model of this, but this time with an electronic sunroof and soft top! I hate manually removing the soft top, and if you're caught in a rainstorm, it's really awful. But every Jeep owner knows about that. Speaking of Jeeps, the ride is far better than a Jeep offers. For the money, you really can't get a more fun and reliable vehicle.

I had this vehicle years ago and have always regretted getting rid of it. I had 265/75 bf g's and it made a nice improvement. Took it 4-wheeling and through the mud several times, hanging with the jeeps was no problem. Finding someone to work on them besides the dealership was a bit of an issue in my area. The lack of accessories was irritating as well. All-in-all I will own this little, tough SUV again.

You remember when you got your first car? How did it feel? Well for me it was exciting, not only was it my first car, but it was a truck it was mine. It was a truck that was able to get me and to where ever I was at, it was reliable and cheap. Although, it wasn?t the best looking car, it was mine and it made feel good.

230,000 miles only routine maintenance. Mud and snow are no problem. TOD works great. cavernous interior, great headroom, great visibility. Going to buy another one. Wish they were still around, and available with the Isuzu diesel engine.

Honestly, mine doesn’t guzzle gas. I have the LS base model with a 5spd manual. I drive mainly all highway and average about 25-26mpg. City driving I average about 22mpg. I drive this pickup hard as a daily driver and have been for years. Just have to keep up on the cheap and easy regular maintenance like with anything and it’s strong and reliable. The water leaking onto the passenger floor is definitely due to a 3rd brake light seal. I just made my own with silicone and it’s lasted the PNW rain all these years with no issues or further leaking. Great pickup and great value. The Auto doesn’t have the best transmission. Go manual if you know how to drive one

The Isuzu Rodeo Sport is the best vehicle I?ve ever owned. So good, in fact, that I bought two of them. Way back in late 2000, I really wanted a Jeep. I was taking regular road trips for work (I?m an efficiency/ business practices consultant) and had the dream of the open road, wind in my hair?straight Route 66 stuff. Sadly, comfort-wise, Jeeps can be a quite a beating on long trips. Go figure. In my search for a replacement, I randomly came across the newly-released Isuzu Rodeo Sport (which was just a newly-named, manned-up Amigo). I immediately loved it. It drove great, handled well, felt solid, and, with the removable sunroof and the folding soft-top, it?s like a Jeep but without the lower back injury. Fast forward to 2005: I drove it to roughly 135,000 without any real issues beyond having a transmission overhaul (cost about $900) around 110,000 miles that I, likely, brought on myself via neglect. I kept up with oil changes every 5K and a few light maintenance things, but that was it. However, while I loved it, life had taught me, at that point, that vehicles tend to implode, if not explode, as they approach 150,000 miles, so I sold it to a family friend who didn?t have my reservations about high-mileage vehicles for a steal of $3500 (I paid $20 K). Fast forward to 2010: I ran into the family friend and asked about the RS. They told me that they had reached nearly 200,000 miles, with only normal upkeep costs, and had sold it to another family member for the same $3500 price (Ugh!). After talking with them, and a few years of driving an Audi and suffering the upkeep/maintenance costs of a ?high-dollar-premium-gas-only? car, I found another RS ? the exact same as my original, just a different exterior color- with shockingly low miles. Fast forward to 2014: I have now driven my second RS to 156,000. I just incurred the only costly repair I?ve had with the new one, a water pump/timing belt switch that ran me $650.

I went to look at an '06 Miata I'd seen on line. They had 2. They worked with me on getting the one I wanted with the wheels off the other one. Excellent! They helped me with financing. Mine's going on 22 years old, and still runs like a top. Only issues I have are rust and burning oil - which were risks right from the beginning. I think If users were warned of these issues ahead of time, and given the chance to mitigate them, the Rodeo would have lasted beyond 2004. Of all the vehicles I've owned, the Rodeo have never left me stranded. It tows and hauls like a champ. Tons of torque, and ok mileage. Maintenance I've had to do over the years: Replace timing belt, radiator, water pump, fan clutch, spark plugs, Fuel Filter and fuel pump, and vehicle speed sensor. My plan is to get a 2015 Nissan Xterra after the Rodeo finally dies, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen anytime soon.

Interior is very comfortable. I am disabled and this is the perfect height to enter & exit the vehicle. Steers well-smooth ride

Bought my 1999 trooper 13 years ago. Tranny was bad when I bought it and 70,000 miles later it's trouble free I have people tell me they wish they didn't sell theirs and some asked if it was for sale and I politely say no not for sale

Overall engine layout allows easy access to oil sump screen for maintenance shows superior quality engineering and reliability and insure good oil flow for years of heavy duty use.With oversized tires its pleasant to drive over even the most under maintained city streets.

This SUV meets all of my needs, it is reliable and has been a champion for me. The repairs that I have made or paid to have done have been in budget. It is easy to spot in a crowded parking lot and a steady performer. 3.2 6 cylinder 4wheel drive, manual transmission. Average 15 mpg

Brought the car brand new. Only had to change wear items. Still have original alternator. After 17 years of ownership, I just changed the timing belt. That was due to age and not due to fault. When I took it out it almost looked brand new. Obviously I was worried about nothing. There are no words how to describe how spectacular this car has been. My Isuzu Axiom is the best.

Mine has 108,000 miles has a 2 inch lift I've put over 40,000 of these miles on it in the deserts around Yuma AZ hard miles. Installed an ARB air locker up front. What it doesn't have in articulation it makes up for with front locker and rear posi. Many of my friends have had lots of jeep problems but the Isuzu just keeps on ticking. Well most of the time I'm now looking for the rear anti roll bar, kind of broke it. But considering where its been...

The isuzu is very reliable mine was sitting for 4 years, cleaned it up and it spins like a top turns over good. And I did a muffler delete and it sounds very good I have a 3.2l v6.

This is a great handling car. The best I've driven for handling and comfort. Smooth riding. Comfortable interior. Would like to get better gas mileage, but not bad for it's size.
