happy ending to everyone's worst fear buying a preowned car

So I'd like to start with I know I probably was not the easiest client to deal with at times; but this team of people understood why I was so upset and frankly p*ssed off with the whole situation. They did not give up on my attitude or car. Anyone who purchases a car that is within the power train warranty always wonders why did this person trade in a 'perfectly good car'. Well, there is usually a reason for that. Upon test driving the vehicle and noticing an off noise but being told it was "normal" I rolled the dice that the power train would cover the off engine noise we noticed unless it was in fact supposed to sound that way. Which it wasn't (it does not make the sound from the the test drive since). Sure enough, before the first payment, the engine took a crap and gave me the panic of a lifetime. I had just made this huge purchase and now it will need a new engine? The whole point of purchasing a new or 1 owner car was to have a GOOD RELIABLE VEHICLE that I would not need to worry about for a while. Everyone worries that the larger components could and will fail right out the gate leaving you with a mount of repair bills and a xxx that is now a money pit. I called the dealership and explained what was happening and they were very understanding why I was upset with this. Melinda was able to get me lined out... eventually. It took a new engine and 3 new sensors I believe but she got it done. I did tell Melinda to please do not rush this. It's an engine. I work in service and understand not all your techs and do all your jobs. there's a reason each tech works on what they work on. And I get that. But when we were coming up on the 2 month mark it was getting frustrating. Not to mentino the rental. So I am finally about to come pick the car up. FINALLY. But upon taking delivery of the car, we didn't even make it home before the check engine light comes back. We JUST installed a new engine and a sensor ( sensors are picky and finicky it seems). Took it back immediately ( it was Saturday so I had it back Monday morning). They got me square away with the sensors however I believe Jim (who isn't here anymore to my understanding) was the advisor for that small ticket. This was when i believe we had to get 2 sensors taken care of. Then about 3 weeks later on the freeway all the sudden the transmission felt like it disengaged and a message about putting the car into neutral flashed up with the engine light. I lost it . I cried (we aren't even going to talk about the rental car/The most expensive cup of ranch incident ever -- but I'd be more than happy to hook Lauren and her dept. up with an awesome courtesy vehicle review). Was this ever going to end with this xxxx car? I called you guys up and was about 20 minutes away, upset, late to work at a new job, and pissed. But Lauren had the rental ready to go as this happened en route to work. Melinda was there and ready to run my codes as it appeared pretty serious at first glance. But come to find it was a loose battery terminal. The service department did in fact verify this thoroughly and did NOT charge me for the day of diag ( I did have a little under a full tank when I brought it that morning but was not even worried about that as long as I had the gas to get home and I did). I would absolutely recommend y'all to someone; if they will be treated the same if not better. Thanks everyone for putting up with me. working in service has made me learn a lot but also to expect nothing less than what I would let a customer's purchase roll like.

Car has low miles and still a terrific vehicle.

This car is a great commuter vehicle and good on gas. It has room for 4 people comfortably or 5 if needed. The rear of the vehicle has plenty of open space for storage travel. The jeep is still clean, in good condition and has a like new set of tires on it.
I was in the market for a used car and did some browsing online. Contacted two dealerships about seeing similar vehicles and Landers Toyota responded immediately (the other dealer didn't contact me until 2 days later). In addition, I asked to see a couple of other vehicles so I could make a comparison. Sam Fisher, the internet sales rep, waited for me to arrive even though it was past his shift. When I got to the dealership, he had all the requested cars waiting for me to look at. Once I made my decision, the buying process was simple and Sam was a true professional. Final note - Landers had the best price for the make/model/year I purchased.

Perfect small SUV with 4x4

This car has met all of our needs and have been a great car for a family of 4 in all Colorado seasons. Plenty of leg room in the front and rear with ample storage to move around town and get to the mountain for skiing and camping. This car has everything you could want, heated seats, bluetooth, temperature guage, auto dimming rear view mirror, 110v outlet inverter and roof rails to name a few. New larger all season tires were put on in December 2018 and have less that 5k miles on them.
My experience with Crain Ford service team was great.

If you are looking for a good SUV to travel with, it is a comfortable, safe, efficient vehicle. Great on gas mileage and is good for a family (if you have one). Excellent vehicle to travel long places or commute.
I love the family atmosphere and friendly staff at Fitts auto Bill Fitts is the best in the business. They have always been there for my familys car needs. I have bought many vehicles from Fitts auto over the last 25 year's and have been very pleased Thanks Robert Goshien

Great vehicle. Handles very well in our snowy NH winters. Good gas mileage and power. A very good value! Required very little maintenance over the time I have owned it.
I didn't plan to buy a new car when I visited Steve Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep on Saturday morning; I just wanted to look over the inventory. However, the sales staff ( Corey & Forrest) did a superb job in convincing me that the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee was exactly what I needed. There was no sales pressure , just an honest evaluation of my trade-in and ease of the buying experience. Great customer service in the finance department made that part of the process pleasant also. Glad to be back in the Steve Landers "fold" after leaving for a few years!

Everything I wanted

Always wanted a Jeep so entered the pool by buying a Patriot. Nothing fancy—I.e., basic radio controls—but my goals were utility, maneuverability, reliability and economy, and so far, after 3.5 years, all remains good. Biggest complaint? Interior is all black, which shows up all the dirt and dust a lazy person seems to attract.
I recently had my vehicle totaled by an uninsured driver, so this week I found myself shopping for a replacement vehicle, instead of having one that is nearly paid off. If you have never had this happen to you, well let's just say you don't probably have the "buying power" that you would like. I honestly had become frustrated by the whole experience, I am a pretty simple guy and don't really look for anything fancy in a vehicle. I finally settled on either a Jeep Renegade or Patriot, leaning towards the Patriot. So I went to Steve Landers Jeep. Winston pulled up in a golf cart before we had even gotten out of the car, introduced himself and just started asking questions. No pressure, just an honest, friendly, helpful attitude. I explained the situation and what I was looking for and in about 5 minutes Winston had me standing in front of what would become my new ride (Dark Cherry Red Jeep Patriot). Low miles, 2017 model and I love the "Old Jeep Cherokee look" back when they still had corners and weren't all rounded. So basically the perfect vehicle for me. Winston guided us through the process and in a very short time, I had a very nice vehicle that I like and a very reasonable payment. I don't think it could have gone smoother if we had planned it ahead of time. Winston even helped me get the vehicle bluetooth set up and connected to my phone, works great. I could not have asked for a better experience given the circumstances. Thanks Winston.

Best vehicle I’ve ever owned. This vehicle has great value. Great gas mileage , very comfortable , definitely not too big for city driving . Has great features add a very good price .
Found the exact Rogue (midnight edition) I wanted from a Nissan dealer in Russellville. Mcclarty contracted with them to get it for me! After starting the process online and negotiating via text for a week (I didn't want to rush into anything), James Forrester was patient in making this deal work for me. I had a specific Rogue in mind that I wanted that happened to be very hard to find. I had just totaled my previous Rogue which I had not even made the 1st payment on it when a lady ran a red light. So I wanted to replace it with the exact same color, trim, etc. They may have even lost money having to get my Rogue from ORR in Russellville, transport it to LR. But, they were excellent to work with and I am a happy customer! Also, public service announcement.....thanks to GAP insurance for paying the difference ($5,600) in my previous totaled Rogue, I was able to go into my new one with a clean slate!!!!

Not the best vechial to have if driving more then 15,000 miles a year. Has cvt issues,at 60 thousand. Has excerallion issues. It is roomy, and I like the body style. But personally I wish I could get rid of the patriot.
Was on the road and needed a Chevrolet dealership to change the oil in a new Corvette. This is not my normal dealership and was hesitant to take my car to anyone I didn't know. The service writer understood my hesitation and assured me they would give me the best possible experience. Put the car in valet mode and it recorded every time they moved the car. The video shows them being very careful with the car when putting in on the rack and getting back out to the service drive. They were quick and efficient. Nothing to complain about and I appreciate it.
