I've owned this car for 11 years. It now has 135,000. The ONLY thing that ever went wrong was the ignition switch broke once and I couldn't start it. A locksmith fixed it. This car is so reliable! I change the oil every 5k miles, changed the timing belt a few times and changed the transmission fluid. Basic stuff! I don't think the front seat is that comfortable, so I use cushions with it. The paint job didn't hold up so well on the roof and the hood, but then nobody want to steal it! It doesn't have that much power to zip up the street unless you go heavy on the gas pedal (although I still consider it a zippy little car) but I get 31 MPG on average which is GREAT. Typically I can go about 311 miles per fill up, and I live in the mountains, so I couldn't be happier. It was the deciding factor when I bought it. In 2009 it was one of the highest MPG cars available on the market (aside from hybrids). When the gas light goes on, you've got about 30 miles to get some more gas. I've never run out of gas. It has power windows, a USB port which works for power and to play MP3's, and satellite radio. What more do you need?

Bought this car new. Now has 124,000 miles and have done very little in repairs. Normal wear and tear, oil changes, recommended belt changes. Ultimate reliable car. Live in the North East. I put steel rims and snow tires on it for the winter and it goes like a mini tank. This is my 2nd Kia and am looking for my 3rd to be prepared for retirement. Gas mileage 30 mpg here in the mountains.

I went to a few lots before hitting cfac and i absolutely love how they helped me with finding a vehicle for my family and my man who is 6 foot 10. :) i worked with Gene and he is so friendly took care of us like we are family. The stereo does not work in the vehicle so they are putting in a stereo at no cost to me. The vehicle is spacious and roomy just what we needed. As a college student, this car is great! It's fuel economy is really nice and it drives nicely. The back seat is a bit cramped if you have four adults on a long trip, but if there are only two of you, that's no problem. The cargo area is sufficient for day to day activities. The interior design is really good looking - when I have taken it for oil changes everyone always comments on how much they like it.

This car meets my needs with plenty of legroom, great fuel mileage, sporty look, and realizability, and dependability. Looking forward to owning this one for a long time.

This is my first KIA and my first hatchback. It is comfortable, handles well on the highway and in traffic. I purchased my 2011 in January when there was snow on the ground; I have driven it for 3 months in all kinds of weather. I have been driving a larger, much heavier vehicle and was apprehensive about highway driving and adverse weather. I am pleased that it handles well on gusty spring days and that the visibility is good in heavy rain and really pleased with the gas mileage in town with heavy stop-and-go traffic and on the highway. I get as high as 37mpg on the highway and 30 mpg in town.

A great reliable car that is easy to maintain. No bells or whistles, but it does have heated seats and keyless entry. I put a trailer hitch and roof rack on my 2008 and it is a great little workhorse. The interior is not fancy but it is very intuitive. I will be buying another once this one dies.

I've owned my 2008 Rio 5 since new and have modified it extensively, coil springs, computer system, fuel system, 2.5 inch header, stainless steel exhaust system, 18" wheels, stereo system, fuel system and minor body mods for wheel fitment... Amazing car for the money!!

Ive had this car for almost a year now and its great on gas and its a really solid, cheap car. Only thing is its not built for speed. You'd have to put the pedal to the floor for a couple minutes for it to hit 75. Overall, its a very nice car.

I love the car. I have been pleased with the performance. I love small cars but roomy. My husband is 6 foot and there is plenty head room for him. He said this car was very reliable.

I bought this new car in 2007 and never EVER had a problem with it!!! I have friends that have nissan, ford and all other expensive cars and they had to take it to the mechanic a couple of time at least. My car is a little jewel and so far (knock on wood) I had no problems at all.

So I acquired about a car an when I called the company they were more than helpful with giving me directions an a number to another one of there lots to find the car I wanted, and apon arrival I was treated with good customer service an the dealers new a lot of the Carfax on the vehicles i asked about.

I love my Kia! Very realiable, fantastic on gas and it moves when you need it to. I purchased the 5 speed only because it seemed to have more of a pick up than the automatic version. May just be me though..test drive both and decide for yourself. Engine sounds a bit raspy at high speed but certainly does not detract from performance. Shifting is smooth, and maintence has been a breeze. Kia has top notch service. I've owned many cars and this one by far has been the easiest. Car would be perfect if Kia would add the option for a Sunroof ;o) The only downside I can think of is that this car is not for a larger person, I am 5'7 and find there is plenty of room...but if your taller you may feel cramped.

2009 Rio5 has everything I need. Good looks. Reliable. Smooth. Fun to drive. Has all the right creature comforts (power windows, locks, mirrors, Sirius radio, USB ports, nice interior) but not all the extra features I would never use.
