Back to Mini! Another Clubman

I went back to Mini last week to meet with Karen Fortune, my Mini advisor to discuss specials on 2015 they were running. Having a Clubman previously, I wasn't really considering it again and thought a 2016 would be out of my price range. However, after Karen had Neil Westfall look over the numbers, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was actually well within in my range. Karen took the time to discuss all of my options with me- from select, to traditional pricing, to a lease. This is the 4th Mini I have had, so Karen is very familiar with the condition of my Minis, the mileage I put on my cars over the course of a year. I was very interested in a lease but wasn't familiar with how a lease worked. Karen was very thorough explaining the ins and outs of the lease, which I ultimately went with since I like a new model every 2-3 years which didn't fit with traditional financing. Paperwork was quick, simple and straightforward. Tina Logue handled that and explained to me what I was signing, and what to expect plate wise and registration wise since this was a lease. Paperwork literally was less than 10 minutes and there was zero pressure for extended warranties. After that, I was eager to just take the keys and go since this was my 4th Mini. A lot of sales people would have agreed and been happy to see me walk out the door since the deal was done. However, Karen knew I had not driven the new models extensively. Due to the numerous changes made to the 2015 and 2016 models, she wanted to ensure I understood the new features that were available in the car, as well as take the time to program the settings to my own personal tastes (turn signal flashes, night time interior brightness, exterior pathway lights, Bluetooth/phone pairing, radio station programming, etc.). After we went through everything, Karen did a final walk around the car. Before I drove off the lot, she made another appointment a week out so I could come back in, and ask any questions I might have about How To's related to the car. That evening, she also reached out to me personally to ensure I was enjoying the car. Karen's level of commitment to her customers goes way above and beyond what is expected. She is passionate about what she does, and takes the time to get to know you as a person. She is well versed on all of the models Mini offers- both from a technical perspective and design perspective. Karen is not pushy and follows your lead which makes the entire process stress free and straightforward. A lot of sales people can be intimidating, and buying a car can be intimidating. I know with Karen it won't be. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Karen to my friends and family because I know as soon as they walk in or talk to her on the phone or in email, they'll be in good hands.
