Bought this with 126,000 miles on it and it is an absolute amazing car to ride. If you want to impress your peers definitely recommend. It drives so smooth compared to my former 05’ Honda civ hybrid. Good on gas, and man it picks up good. Absolutely love this car. If you take care of it (yearly maintenance) it will last you a life time.

A few concerns to address, the first is ABC active body control is a concern for this car. I own Phone Doctor in Frederick Maryland and hardware tech is my passion so I want to give my feedback. I love the classy lines of the exterior. The interior is equally elegant and tasteful without gaudy disco lights. I was mesmerized into test driving a 2005 SL500 because my daily driver is a 2001 Mercedes s600. The audio system is lackluster, next weakness is the headlights, but the biggest problem is the ABC (active body control) hydraulic suspension. The audio system is disappointing and leaves me feeling flaccid but I’m used to twelve inches of JL systems shimmed into my high school hoopties. The audio system is not the deal-breaker for this $90,000 machine. And the mediocre headlights can be remedied with aftermarket auxiliary lights. The biggest weakness is the high performance suspension system. Mercedes likes to call it ABC (active body control). The hydraulic pump, seals, and mechanical moving parts gets weak and loses its performance anywhere between 80,000 to 150,000 miles. It’ll cost just as much to replace the ABC system than it does to purchase your 2nd hand sl500. If you’re in the market for one make sure you have an extra $20,000 in socked up before you drop your drawers and plop $15k on your first SL500. A dream ride with one last caveat: This car will draw a lot of attention from single ladies!

I’m 76 years old and purchased my first Porsche, on line, from Larry Williams at HiLine Motorsports. And, I’ll have to admit that purchasing a car on line, site unseen from a company I don’t know that is located 5 states over was a bit scary. But after talking to Larry about the car, and what he was going to do to make it ready to ship, my wife and I took the plunge and purchased it. This was a 13 year old Porsche 911, and during the make ready servicing process Larry not only completed the promised items within the agreed time, but at his own expense also took care of other items that could have been costly maintenance items in the future, The value he added to my car was totally unexpected and upon receipt of the car it looked brand new and it runs great. In my opinion, what sets Larry and HiLine Motorsports apart from other high end sports car resellers is the quality of the car he ultimately ships out and his willingness, at his expense, to make the car as perfect as possible before shipment - we could not be happier with this car and the service received from Larry Williams. Although I might be too old to purchase another Porsche, if I am ever in the market again I would definitely purchase from HiLine Motorsports without any qualms about the on-line process and I would not hesitate to recommend HiLine Motorsports to anyone who is in the market for a quality high end sports car. Sl400 is really a great car, comfortable, fast, reliable, well put together, little low to the ground so a little harder to get in and out of but once inside the car you don’t feel like it low and lot of room inside, love this car.

2013 BMW 328i hardtop convertible, six speed manual, was exactly as advertised, and then some. Larry assisted in getting the car prepped and some minor mechanical issues resolved before we picked up the car. In the first three days, we drove it 1200 miles without any issues. It runs and drives better than any of the 7 BMWs that I have owned over the past 40 years. If it did not show 50k miles already on the odometer, we would not know that it was a used vehicle. We will be back again in the future for a "better than new" used vehicle. Thanks to Larry and his team for making this an easy transaction and a very good value.

Bought with 30K miles in October 2020. Love it more every day. Quietest car with the top on; very comfortable with top down, even at 45F. Brutal torque; merges like a rocket, 50mph to 140 in secs. And the interior. Nothing else looks like it. I can drive ten hours straight with comfort. Admiring looks everywhere (took a bit to get accustomed to it).

I am still interested in upgrading my 2003 SL 500 to a 2015 SL400. They immediately responded red to my inquiry. I am planning on visiting the dealership this week.

After owning this car for 2.5 years I never had any driving experience like this besides driving in my C63 with its violent and raw power and very willing to burn off its own tires also very powerful torque, but it also has it luxurious amenities like comfortable seat’s and overall ok build quality maybe except the footwell with has hard plastic that is not desirable same with the reliability but what do you expect of reliability of a bi-turbocharged v8. Overall I love my C63 and its engaged driving experience!

I’ve owned my 2020 E53 4matic cabriolet for 2 years and absolutely love it for what it is. Beautiful, comfortable, reliable, powerful and good handling. My wife and I are retired and really enjoy driving and traveling in the car. Especially when we can enjoy top down motoring.

I bought my 2003 mb SL500 in 2023 with 30,000 original miles. It runs excellent has a bullet proof engine and design will always be IN vogue cuz of its sleek design. I got all the previous repair receipts from original owner which is great to know the history. As with any 21 yr old car there may be repairs. I have a great MB independent repair shop called Star Motors in Gainesville Fl who really knows these cars and they fix them right and for less than a dealer. Sure thing’s can go wrong and I have found repairs about 25% more than Honda or Toyota. One has to factor in repairs no matter what. I like the 5.0 engine and one thing is they last! They ride so smooth on the wide tires on the highways and there tight steering. Bose sound system still working great afte all these years. Buy one have it inspected if your worried. There in my view great cars. Depreciated a lot since new at $100,000 out the door. So paying 15k to 20k is a bargain. You’ll love it!

This car turns heads every time its driven. It rides great and cruises better than any other car i have owned. Modern cars could learn a think or two on how to make a comfortable seat frome these old mercedes and everything still works. Its not the hotrod most people assume and its definatly not efficient, but it has style and class.

The “experts” say it is heavy. It is, but some right foot snaps away that illusion. They squabble about “dead steering” and brakes that are a bit numb. But If you toss it into a turn or need to stop it , be assured it will perform with aplomb, without the fussy twitching of a boy-racer. All cars, even ones with $100,000+ price tags, are compromises between performance and comfort, nimbleness and stability. This car is not aimed at a testosterone-fueled owner clawing up the ladder, but rather a confident owner that needs to prove nothing other than to show up. And for me, that makes this car the perfect compromise. It never fails to bring a smile. Few machines provide this level of comfort, performance, and design quality. And if a machine can bring joy along with performance, hasn’t really done its job In a spectacular way?
