When I purchased the car it was used but with low miles. The miles are still low and the car is starting to show its age. I am grateful that the work was able to he completed in my driveway. It's still a good car and i am glad i bought it!!!

So I just bought a used 2010 Mercury Mountaineer, with a restored salvage title. Typically I do not buy vehicles that don’t have a clean title. Obviously this vehicle was in an accident, and restored. I test drove the vehicle twice before deciding to buy it. I have to say there are a few quirks I have to work out of the system, but the engine and transmission is solid! With just over 100k miles this vehicle is by far one of the cleanest vehicles I have ever bought used, inside and out. I upgraded from an 03 Ford Ranger that had the 2.3L engine 5 speed manual. I wanted something automatic and with more HP. The Mountaineer doesn’t disappoint. For $4,500 I feel this vehicle was a smart purchase even if I have to put some time and money into fixing the weird quirks. I wish there was a way to submit pictures in this review to show just how clean this vehicle is. I would not hesitate on buying another one.

I bought my 03 Mountaineer used in July. I didnt know ANYTHING about these SUV in fact I was unaware of their existence before I found this one. I paid $1,300, it had 108,000 miles on it. Ive owned it 6 months now and yes I have put some work into it but it's a 20 yr old vehicle and so far everything ive done I would've expected a vehicle with that many years to have going on, they just happened to me right away. But you can get the parts for these cheap. I have the 4.0 V6 and I love this car! It has so much power, it is fast as xxxx for a big heavy SUV. It flies down the highway and even handles curves like a sports car. I have to be careful because it takes off right now and I can be doing 90mph without even trying and be at 80mph coming onto the highway. It tows like a champ no problems. As long as I turn the overdrive off when in town and on when I'm on highway it gets great gas milage, I love the big moon/sun roof, the pedals move to me, leather heated seats. I like that I can either open just the back window or the whole hatch depending what im doing. The negative, typical ford rusted out rocker panels, I just filled my tank today and when leaving the station I noticed my fuel gage isnt working, could be the floater is stuck but it only has 110,000 on it now. Because in the 6 months I have owned it it has been in my shop getting the tlc in deserves and im feeling confident that this Mountaineer is gonna be one that goes the distance and some. I hope so. It is a real pleasure to drive.

I was in the market to purchase a reliable used car for my daughter for under $5k. We had been all over town for a couple of weeks. I recently purchased a truck from SAG Denver, I have had a very positive and professional experience with the sales and service departments. I normally avoid dealerships at all costs, however I came across a beautiful truck that I was having difficulty finding on the private market. I enquired online and was replied to very expediently. I received a no pressure call from a sales person who scheduled an appointment with me. When I arrived, I was greeted and assisted immediately. I test drove the truck with Tracey, who by the way, I highly recommend working with. After driving and inspecting the truck for a bit, I detected what is a common mechanical problem with that type of truck. I brought it up to Tracey and the sales manager Dan and my concerns were immediately acknowledged and validated. Dan did not try to gloss over my concern or argue that there was an issue, instead, he gracefully offered to have the repairs made along with any other contributing or resulting damage as needed. I left the truck with them to begin the repairs, unfortunately it was a bit more involved than originally thought. There ended up being a significant amount of engine work needed, nothing that could have possibly been detectable without opening up the motor. I think most dealerships would have somehow tried to find a way to charge me or unwind the deal rather than proceed with completing all necessary repairs and making the truck run properly. I have several other vehicles so I wasn't by any means inconvenienced, however I did purchase the truck because I had to haul some things for family. After the repairs ran into an extended period of time I did email to express my concerns, I received a call from Dan offering me another truck from their inventory until the repairs were completed on mine. I can't express enough how impressed and pleased I am with the entire experience with Springs Automotive in Denver, I would definitely recommend them and would buy from them again.

This vehicle was originally rated at 15 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway. I get 16 mpg in the city and 22 to 23 mpg on the highway in the summer and 20 to 21 in the winter. I have 243,000 miles on this vehicle. Drawback at this time is probable short in the wiring in which the drivers power seat will sometimes go back unexpectedly. Also excessive rust below door entry points. Tows very well(22’ camper)

For the price range you can find this vehicle in it does offer quite a few great features. The model I bought did not come with Bluetooth what does offer and auxiliary cable input. The third row seating option and the amount of cargo space available when the third row is flipped down is GREAT. The model I bought also came with a ceiling mounted and detachable DVD player Gameboy Advanced combo which initially I thought didn't work but it just was not charged... it comes with wireless headphones and controller for gaming. I love this feature! Also this vehicle comes with adjustable pedals and seat with multiple saved options which make for a very comfortable ride regardless of how many people drive the vehicle.

I bought this used at 160k miles and it ran beautifully! Until it stopped reversing and started accelerating weird at 172k miles. Otherwise great car!!

This truck has lasted me a long time. I’m just looking for something smaller. Motor runs great. Just needs a new shift solinoid. The exterior is a maroon color. And this inside is a tan color.

Was gifted this vehicle from a friend returning to the military in 2009 and the only repairs were the belts (1), fuel tank (1), front inner tire rods (1), alternator (1) and of course the basic wear and tear functionalities. The truck sat for almost a whole year and cranked right up with a battery change. It originally came from Arkansas to Texas to Maryland and now New York with over 211K miles on it; even used on off-road camping trips upstate NY, NJ and still running to this day. No problems getting stuck in snow. Just a well made sturdy truck!

Owned two 2000 Mountaineer V-8 2wheel drives. 1st owned 15 years, purchased used with 39,999. Vacation use only towing 3100# travel trailer totaled by drunk driver at 129,000 miles never a major issue just regular maintenance. 05/2022 purchased another V-8 2wheel drive Mountaineer, one owner with 70,686 miles, done a 3000 mile trip no issues. Both vehicles required replacement of front end at 70,000 miles due to pulling travel trailers.

We bought our 07 Mountaineer with 82k on it in 2014. It is the top trim Premier Model with the AWD and V8. There are no options missing on this particular one. I wanted a good towing SUV that was a midsize. The Mountaineer can tow up to 7100 pounds which is quite a bit for a midsize. She now has 166k on her. I have replaced the radiator, the transmission was redone at 160k and new brakes. Other than the usual maintenance being done, "Grace" has been a wonderful vehicle with no unusual issues. We tow a 24' travel trailer up and down the northwest and coastal ares. A great affordable SUV.

We purchased this 2001 Mountaineer in mid 2003. I still daily drive it. By far the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. Other than scheduled maintenance the only thing I have done is replace the fuel pump at 184k miles. It currently has 230k and hasn’t changed a bit since the day we bought it. This vehicle is the perfect power to weight ratio. I’ve yet to find any kind of terrain (mud, snow, ice, rain, hills, etc.) that will even touch it. It just keeps going. The interior is nice with plenty of storage in the rear for vacation or groceries. The fuel mileage is not the greatest but I judge my vehicles off of dependability and by far would recommend anybody to buy one of these if they get the chance.
