mini cars are the most fun to Drive full of impressive options and almost every inch can be customized showing personality. Countryman adds more space than other models, only con would be that it tends to be a bit noisy with the rails on top with the panoramic sunroof. But the sport seats are the most comfortable I’ve ever sat in, allowing long drives to support, never allowing the aches and pain like most other cars.

After 23 years of driving minivans and SUVs, I was ready for a change. I love my 2016 Mini Cooper S 4 door. with the 6 speed manual transmission. Car is great to drive, gets okay mileage (25+mpg) and is surprisingly practical.

It’s fun car to drive and the interior is beautiful. I have the Iconic model so there are lots of bells and whistles to get to know. Although the car is much smaller than my previous car it still offers a lot storage. It’s a 2022

I absolutely loved my Mini until it hit 80,000 miles. When the trans went followed in 5000 miles by the clutch, I was done. I guess I could've kept it to see if I had weathered the storm, but I was out of money by then. Engine parts and repairs are astronomically expensive. It was sad, but I had to. I still miss that car!

I bought the 03 cooper S as it has always been my dream car. Growing up around them, I always knew what styling I wanted. She has decent mileage for her age (241000km/ 150000mi) Picking her up was an epic day followed by a majestic drive through the mountains for the 4 hours home. Driving my lowered beast, sunroof open and riding her like i stole it. Then the fun started about a month later. First to go was the radiator. Then on further inspection, she got a full braking system, hubs and bearings. It then led to full front cv axle replacement plus upper and lower control arm replacements. Oh and a thermostat and housing. Finished over $2800 in work over a 6 week span for the serpentine to blow and take the pulleys and tensioner with it. Lets call it another $500 in. Now that being said, all the maintenance prior done included some major repairs; new timing, new supercharger and sunroof motor. The way i see it, yes i may have put in a bit extra to her but she is going to last me for many years to come. And she is worth every penny. So yes - buy the car. Have the fun. Just remember that even the best documented maintained vehicles can have issues.

I purchased my 2011 MINI clubman base at 64xxx miles, and it now has close to 100k. In that time, I have replaced the clutch and the battery. Regular maintenance has been done as well. I absolutely love my MINI, they have so much character; like each one is different. It has been a very reliable car despite it being German engineering. The base model has a bit of trouble at high altitudes getting up steep hills so I definitely recommend the 6 speed manual, plus the S inevitably will have more problems than the base. I have driven it to the ski hill countless times and with the right tires, it did just fine even in white outs. I have gotten countless comments on how spacious the clubman actually is for a MINI, even the back seats! The suspension is pretty stiff, hence its amazing cornering capabilities, though when you hit a Colorado pot hole, it feels like you broke something; either in the car or yourself. but it rolls on! If I wasn't an avid camper and road tripper, I would always keep a MINI in my driveway. In fact once I'm in a position to own two cars, the second will definitely be another MINI; perhaps a new clubman. THE MPG is nothing short of amazing as well.

Smooth and trouble free. Omar did all the preparation work before our arrival to make the transection process simple and straight forward. Just a side note that you may want to pay more attention to the beverage corner - always run out of ice water and coffee machine is out of service (too many customers?)

The car has great style and great function. I have Bluetooth and Sirius radio. The leather upholstery is really impressive but as a musician, I really appreciate the Harmon Kardon stereo system. Amazing!

This car (S model 6 sp) was a gift for my 5'3" wife. Once we got used to the interior layout such as window and lock controls in the center stack we loved the car. Also getting comfortable with the 6 so trans takes a while and I still miss a shift now & then. We live in FL and the sunroof doesn't come with a solid sun blocking cover so some days we wear hats to protect our heads. I've ordered a custom made interior cover to handle this problem. I, at 5'10", can easily get in and out of the car. We love to drive it. It is uncomfortable on long drives over 2 hrs but for around town it can't be beat. Park almost anywhere and make uturns in the narrowest of roads. Parts are expensive. We bought it used with 80K miles. We've had the AC compressor replaced, along with struts, alternator, door locks but it is an older car. Change the supercharger oil every 80k. On the way to east coast FL (4 hr trip) my wife had the mini lose power so I'll be leaving tomorrow with our big vehicle to tow it back to our mechanic. Our mechanic is very good and not a Mini specialist. Much cheaper repairs for example - $700 to change supercharger oil vs $200 at my shop. I recommend the car as long as you are aware that this is a sports car & a BMW that requires higher cost of upkeep & premium fuel.

This car is easy to drive, beautiful color, good on gas, handles well on cornering. Nice price and great tires too. This is my 3rd mini, so I love them!

It be of no secret that the Germans are behind the production of the MINI Brand. The fit and finish, drive, engineering and even smell are all very much in tune with the Brand's Ownership. The drive and sheer joy one feels from driving one of these products makes you feel like a kid again, playing with their favorite toy after a day of school. There are bigger and more expensive offerings to choose but none have the character or joy of ownership of a MINI.

Cars Unlimited of Santa Ana may seem like your average used car dealership as you drive by. The reviews are a hit or miss online and you really don't know what to believe. My three takeaways from this place is transparency, honesty and quality. As a car enthusiast, I found a particular vehicle here I was interested in, and I worked with Peyman Reisi, the manager of Cars Unlimited of Santa Ana and I had a great experience. From Peyman to his employees everyone was extremely courteous and helpful. They were prompt to answer any questions I had about the car prior to coming in. They provided me with a Carfax and Autocheck report upon arriving and gave me ample time to check the car out and even allowed me to take it out for a lengthy test drive. The staff was fully transparent about anything they knew about the car and also fully encouraged me to have it checked out by a mechanic or dealership of my choice if I wanted to, of course, at my cost. If there were any issues, Peyman and his team said they would work on getting it sorted out, or reimburse the cost prior to finalizing the deal. You have to remember, this is a used car dealership, not everything is going to be perfect, it isn't a new car, but they will strive to make sure they get you into a solid, reliable car. Not even a large franchise dealer can guarantee something won't go wrong a few weeks down the road, that is why Peyman stands by his cars and offers a warranty if things do happen or allow you to get it fully inspected prior to purchasing. The entire team here was not pushy nor did they use any of your typical sales pitch when I was viewing the car. They were very hands off from the moment I pulled into the parking lot and the moment I left with the car. They gave you just the right amount of attention without being overbearing and pushy on the sale, whether you buy a car or not, they will treat you the same way they'd want to be treated. I observed this with different customers they interacted with. They have a very good selection of cars, and if they don't have what you're looking for, they can help source it for you and have it fully checked out prior to you purchasing it. At the end of the day, use your due diligence when buying a used car, whether it's from a smaller dealership like this one or a large franchise one. Not every car will be perfect, but it is the actions and integrity of the dealership that will set it apart. The listing indicated the vehicle had been in an accident. I emailed the dealer asking for the details. I received a reply that did not address the accident. I renewed my request. I received another reply from a different agent that did not address the accident. I renewed my request again and this agent promptly sent me the Carfax. He was very responsive and while after looking at the Carfax I decided to pass, I asked him to keep an eye out for the vehicle I am looking for.

When it was newer the engine had some issues and a couple of recalls. I had the engine replaced because of a piece of metal getting into a cylinder. That when it was 10 years old and had 105,000 miles on it. Since then mostly maintenance. I do some myself. I enjoy driving it more than any car I've had before. The fastest, best handling and most economical, gas wise of any of them. I've gotten as much as 44mpg with it on a trip. Only mods I made to the engine are a K&N air filter cleanable cartridge and a blow off valve for the turbocharger.

The countryman is the perfect compromise for those who want a Mini and still want a workable amount of interior space. The gas mileage is insanely good, it's fun to drive, and you will be running laps past everyone at the stoplights because of how zippy it is. Parking is also never an issue, always lots of space, and easy to maneuver. My only two complaints are that maintenance tends to be expensive (when you factor in the gas savings though, I'd say it pays for itself) and the engine is weak. If you load even just a couple hundred pounds of passengers and cargo into it, it can drive for maybe an hour or so before the engine light kicks on and begs for mercy. I've never had this result in an actual issue that caused a breakdown or required us to pull over, and maintenance confirmed that there are no larger issues with my engine in particular. Turns out that it just limits its own engine power whenever it's struggling. But it is a bit annoying, especially on longer trips.
