My father left me a '96 model with 150K miles on it. Original everything except exhaust. Runs unbelievably well. It's pretty good on fuel, too. With black running boards it even looks pretty good. I like it so much that when the motor or tranny finally succumbs to age, I will be getting it rebuilt. The rear wheel drive makes it the best handling large vehicle I've ever been in.

It was was a good 3.1L V-6 had it for about 3 years than up traded for a new 2001 Malibu LS same engine but a little more HP(was a litter car than the Lumania). Had much fun driving it in SoCal. Was my 3rd to last car(all Chevy’s), Stopped driving in 2007. Last car was a 2005 Malibu Base model with standard SoCal equipment package.

I have driven it cross country, off road, daily commuter, in snow, in rain, on dry land and it is comfortable and has lots of little details I love. I towed a 7000# load and with the exception of a 6% grade that was long it did fantastic with power to spare, (on the grade 45-50 mph). The low setting will climb anything and gives traction you cant believe and the special programs provide perfect power/brake/suspension adjustments for all conditions. The bad: The air suspension components fail 85,000 miles or more and there is an odd cooling quirk that gets most owners paying for things they dont need. The alterntor has a sensor that tells the cooling system to run full boar all the time if the alternator starts to fail (the voltage regulator specifically). This has the effect of over heating the car and the boiling water literally destroys cooling components like the thermostat housing, seals, cooling tank, etc...anything plastic. This results in people replacing the whole system for $1000=$2000 when they need a $145 alternator. The height sensors are easy to replace and inexpensive but if done at rover: $1500 vs. $500 local or $150 home diy. The brake sensor lead is easy to break when changing brakes, but cheap to replace and plug and play in minutes. Finally, use the $400-$500 hitch receiver as it tows perfect with this but after market safety is a problem with anything over 5000#. I would buy again and my MPG averages 15.5 combined and 18 highway up to 19.8 if you watch your speed. Love this car but the cooling system is a bit touchy.

Good reliable car, it is not a speed deamon but it is good for comftable for long distance trips. I had only one mechanical issue with transmission bearings. To the guy who wrote the last review, you have bad baterry terminals, I had the same issue car was discharging fast charging slow, hard to jumpstart. Alternator ok, no additional current drow in the car, baterry was changed. those batery terminals cost nothing do that and you will get rid of the problem.

I got to the dealership around 1:00 PM he had all the paperwork done, the vehicle cleaned, checked and everything ready to go, paper signed, and out of there in less than two hours. He also pulled some strings and had them put a full tank of gas in the vehicle. We even had time to sit back and chat about APPLE’s newest technologies and I even encouraged him to update the software on his phone, but she did right there. It felt like I was chatting with somebody I’ve known for a long time. They did not try to press any extended warranties or gadgets and gizmos and stuff. They made me aware that warranties were available and asked me if I want to explore that option. I declined and they never press the issue again. When I’m in the position to purchase a brand new one. I bought the plain, zero frills LS new, in '07. 128K miles and counting. I haul my drums all over metro Denver and it fits all my gear, perfectly. It averages 24-28 mpg, per tank. I've lost track of how many times people have mistaken it for a PT Cruiser. It's no pocket rocket but then, I don't need to drive that fast.

My 2008 Touring Sebring is approaching 16 years and it’s been the best. With only 129,000 km, the only repairs have been 2 brake jobs and new tires. It is comfortable and very reliable. The only down side has been the inevitable spots of rust due to the salt placed on our maritime roads in winter. I undercoat yearly and remove rust when I notice it in a body shop. Love this car 💕

This car was a dependable vehicle for a family of five. Still in great condition just has some miles on it- family upgraded to a smaller car since kids have moved out.

I’m a bragging past owner of a 2006 G6 Gypsy sedan. First owner up to around 37,000 miles. Great experience & performance! Only issue that aggravated me was the key release from the ignition “ which was repeatedly repaired & never solved?” My model was the rare 6 speed manual “ yes in a sedan!!!!” The manual had to be in a certain precise position to trigger the ignition key release. I joked with GM service department that apparently the car wanted to keep driving?! The only other service I can remember was the leather seat cover replaced because the color wore away. & a suspension part up front. Everything covered by factory no arguments. I’m extremely serious that this is one General Motors hidden past gems!!!! “ keep in mind I am NOT talking base entry level model here.” Everyone knows about the G8 the solstice which is understandably justified! However these G6 GTP & GXP are the best investment for the budget minded to get performance in a competitive fun driving sedan with luggage & storage space!” Unless you’re smart enough to purchase the HARDTOP metal roof convertible!” Do your self & your wallet a favor & don’t ignore the vehicle when looking!

I purchased my truck in 2005, had 92,000 miles on it. Still driving it today with 253,000 miles on it. Doesn't use any oil between changes. I have all the scheduled maintenance done when it's time. I live in Arkansas, wouldn't be afraid to get in my Dodge and drive to New York in it. The only complaint I have is that the dash is starting to crack really back and pieces of it is falling out. I love this truck!

I've owned about 10 conversion vans from 1985 to 2004. Decided to purchase one more and wanted a low mileage, good condition used Van. Found many online, especially from dealers, that were not as advertised. Almost flew 400 miles to see one but the dealer slipped on his story too many times. Drove 400 miles (round trip) twice to view vans that, again were junkers but looked good in the photos. One used car dealer, after promising everything, did not even wash the vehicle. It had mud caked on tires, spare parts inside on the floor, and cracked exterior parts that did not show in his photos. Finally found 2004 GMC conversion van with 54K miles in super condition only 5 hours away. This vehicle has been driven for 2K miles in the 2 weeks I've had it and is just what I wanted. I had a 2009 Hyundai Accent hatchback . I loved it . Yes I bought it used . In Ontario Canada in June we had a terrible storm come through and A tree was up rooted and fell on my car . I had $ 183.134 km on it . I cried my car was in mint condition.no rust it looked new . Even the insurance company said it was was in really great shape. Sure I had to replace a few parts .I sure did miss my baby .I’m looking for another car just like this one put having a hard time finding one in great shape
