2023 Subaru Outback Limited XT. A great station wagon (it’s not really a SUV). Comfortable leather seats, smooth ride and extremely quick with the turbo. If you don’t need seating for eight, you have no need for the Ascent. Same engine and cargo capacity and ground clearance, lower to the ground, faster, better handling and several thousand dollars cheaper. Standard all wheel drive. Full safety suite. 11.6” infotainment system is really closer to 8” as the climate control takes the additional 3.6”. The Harmon Kardon sound system will blow your doors off. Good in car navigation. Wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Hands free tailgate. 0-60 in 5.8 on regular gas. Standard roof rails. Even has heated outboard rear seats. If you’re considering a midsize or smaller SUV you owe it to yourself to drive this first.

I have a 2020 Subaru Outback Touring 2.4L turbo model, the fully-loaded, most expensive model. It replaced a 2011 standard Outback with a 2.5L engine and manual transmission. My only criticism is poor gas mileage, about 23-24 mpg versus the 2011's 28.2 average over more than 100K miles. I like the power (260 HP) but might have forgone the turbo had I anticipated the unimpressive mileage. My 2001 Audi Q5, with a 260 HP 2.0L turbo engine, averages 28+ mpg, but cost $10K more than my Subaru. I rationalize by recognizing that $10K will buy a lot of gasoline.

I am a repeat customer and the Mazda vehicle speaks for itself... but GREAT customer Service cannot. When I was shopping to renew my lease, I was able to contact Charles Clark in VW - as I thought I might switch from Mazda to VW. When we could not get the pricing to work, Charles sent me to Ravi Patel. He was helpful, kind and very knowledgeable about all the products in my inquiries. Through the deal, I also met with Joel Cruz. He was a whiz at getting me the best price, the best vehicle and provided the best service. Now, I do not live close... I live about 35 miles away... but I will ALWAYS come back to Brunswick for this high quality of service. Kudos to Brunswick for doing it right! I am in my seventies and didn't want to buy new so i I looked at over twenty used vehicles during my search. This Subaru Outback was the best driving vehicle of all that I tried. We currently own the Outback 2024 XT, and it’s a great car to drive. However, its turbo CVT engine does produce a slight lag in acceleration and when slowing down. Just a matter of getting used to. Also had issue with the lift gate button, which broke after only two months in possession. My wife and I are in our 60s, and all our kids have their own families, so thank goodness we don’t have to drive those 8 seater SUVs anymore. This outback has been the best alternative for us.

The Touring XT has all the bells and whistles of a luxury SUV for a lower price point. The extra turbo thrust is impressive! It has a very comfortable ride for long trips.

I traded in my 2015 Outback and am now one month into driving my 2023 vehicle which I quite like. But I have a serious complaint about the new headlight system Subaru is using. I drive many unlit country roads that have quite a few short but somewhat steep hills. When heading on a flat the low beam lights do an okay, not great but okay, job of illuminating the road in front (the2015 was better). But when heading downhill, the line of decmarcation between the lit and unlit field of vision area often does not seem to extend far enough forward to allow me to see even 25 yards ahead. When traveling at 35 or 40 mph, I find this dangerous and unnerving. While driving 35 mph downhill on a 40 or 50 yard stretch of the road on 2/18/23 I was unable to see far enough forward and therefore slow down in time before hitting a cat. Additionally, the display screen requires me to take my eyes off the road far too often to see what control I might be touching, be that a temperature control, a radio station, or something else. Those things not withstanding I like the car.

Car has an excellent ride. It is quiet. The comfort, interior quality is very good including leather seats. Fit and finish is very good. I enjoy the quality.

Slower than molasses in January if you don't get the turbo. But a reliable wagon that's absolutely awesome for parents. Plus, you can make up for the lack of speed by just running over stuff thanks to the ground clearance.

Saved some coin!! Got my truck. Tyson was very knowledgeable and very helpful. Only thing negative , I got the truck with 80 miles on it ,someone named Austin had his I Phone & music loaded in the radio & left candy and some trash under the seat.

I think for the most part, I like my car. I have had a couple issues, one of them is probably not the cars fault, (but seeing other people have the same issue, it makes me wonder) I now have 50k miles on it and in that time I have only had to replace the battery and tires, to be expected on a 6 year old car. (and windshield) The windshield is the questionable item. It seemed to crack out of nowhere and I thought I must have gotten a small rock chip while driving down the highway and just didn't see it until it started to crack. So I replaced it at a cost of almost $1000. However, I am on an Outback form and it seems to be a common complaint with outback owners of this year, having the windshield crack out of nowhere. Could it be the frame design? Maybe, but it does seem suspicious that others have had the same issue. One other problem I have had is if I let my car sit unused for like 5 days, the battery goes completely dead. There seems to be a parasitic drain somewhere on the car. It doesn't happen if I drive it every day, but if it sits for about 5 days unused, the battery goes completely dead. I have read it has something to do with the DCS system in the car, but you have to pay the dealer a diagnostic fee to verify. I drive it enough I have not gotten it checked, but next time I am at the dealer I am going to ask them about it.

It was fast and friendly. They didn't do any other work unless they talk to me frist. I will return there to get my other work done once I have them money.

I fell in love with the Wilderness Trim from the very first time i saw it. I had a 2017 Outback Limited and loved it too. Had a co-worker who really needed a reliable, well taken care of SUV. I told her I will sell it to her. With the money i got Wilderness. Best decision ever. Has that little extra ground clearance and details that makes this car so unique. Yes the screen is large and has a lot on it, but after a while got used to it. If the Outback was my dream car, This Wilderness is beyond my dreams! The Turbo is great, gives that extra +80HP compared to my Outback and it's noticeable specially when using paddle shifters. Hope i can keep this one for many many years.

Overall a great experience. The salesman seemed to be a knowledgeable and helpful guy. He worked to get me what I felt was a good deal and helped me get settled in to my new car.

I purchased this as a commuter car, but ended up taking it on long trips with the family. Currently has 65k miles. Interior is comfortable, the leather seats are easy to maintain. The infotainment system is great and easy to navigate. The only issue I had with it was the power lift gate. It was under warranty, so no big deal - but it would’ve been expensive had it not been. This is a great car for a family with small kids. The only reason I’m got rid of it is because my kids are growing and we needed something bigger. Routinely hit 23 not on highway. It’s got some pep, but you’re not buying it for sports car experience. AWD does very well off road and in snow. The exterior plastics are somewhat cheap and occasionally need to be set back in place. Otherwise, no mechanical issues and drives like the day I brought it. I’d recommend highly.

I have an 3,000 miles on my new basic 2024 Outback. (My only add on was a rock chip protection.). I drove from North Utah across Wyoming to Colorado Spring & learned that my vehicle has plenty of power without a turbo. It ran true and handled efficiently at the speed limit of 80 miles per hour. I added a Cargo cover (as insisted by my lady to hide valuables from prying eyes in our parking garage). One comfort problem discovered the absence of a car charger for a passenger up front. A 2nd missed item on my basic 2024 Outback are the smaller visors (The Sun in my eyes was difficult to block.). I notice road noise which interferes with my hearing conversations from my console. I am not sure if Subaru insulates the “loaded” models better? My trip took me to Galveston where We parked in a hotel long term parking for a week long Cruise. Getting to know the car this way… the driving back thru I 45 & I 35 to Waco & Dallas had me wishing I had negotiated for a few more creature comforts than the basic model provides.

My bad part is yes it took a while inside for me but again I was asking for a lot and besides the car smoke smell that I'm treating today. I can't say there wasn't no negative side. I lucked into finding a returned leased 2020 Outback in July of 2022. Beautiful white exterior, drives like my '13 Legacy (handed down to my daughter, thus the new car for me!). Apparently Outbacks and Legacies have the same body frame, and driving this new Outback is a dream! This is my 4th Subaru and I absolutely, without a qualm, recommend them for handling, snow, comfort, style, cargo capability. After reading the reviews here, I can agree with two issues: battery and display screen. I also had a dead battery with no apparent reason. The dealership went over the car looking for a "battery draw," but found nothing wrong. They replaced it (under warrantee), and THE NEXT DAY the new battery was also dead. The explanation was this new battery had come from a warehouse and should have been charged before installation. No charge to me and no problems since, but definitely an inconvenience. The second drawback I would mention is the display screen. Way overwhelming, hard to find the functions to change driver assist et. al., and too difficult to drive while trying to change your heat, seat temp -- basic controls that should not require the driver to look down so much and for so long. No issues with operation of the screen. Finally, and maybe this was a one-off experience, I had to have the hood repainted because a leaf had left a weird stain right in the center of the hood. I cannot claim the stain was there when I got the car, but we tried every safe method (including wet sanding) to remove it and it was under the finish (according to the body shop). I'd venture to guess it came off the assembly line like that and it was fairly faint until you noticed it. Finally, I am strongly loyal to the dealership, as they have done right by me in many situations. They are fair, give me clear explanations and warn me about upcoming repairs, considerate, and have on more than one occasion checked a warrantee on my behalf to get me a better price.

Words can’t even express how much I appreciated Mo at Great Lakes Honda West. He was not only super kind/funny but did not pressure a sale on me. He sat and listened to me and what I needed out of a car. If you are interested in a Honda vehicle I would 100% recommend Great Lakes Honda West and Mo.

Like the Turbo, hate the 10% less mpg. Short trips (2-4miles) and when it's cold only 16-19mpg. The rest of the year better. Hwy around 30mpg @71-74mph. I would recommend , I have a 2022XT only 18,500 miles on it. Yes the Info screen could use a lot of response improvement. Zero mechanical issues.

This is the second Subaru I have bought from this dealer. The wife bought her Outback in 2015, and she is still in love with it. Due to physical issues, I needed a car that was easier for me to get into, decided to give the Forester a look and it was a perfect fit. I am also well pleased with the service dept and sales staff.
