As I read, don't buy unless you can work on it. Plenty of things broke, but the parts are cheap if you can work on it. All four interior door handles broken, but all four replacements were $40, I put them in. Starter motor bad, $160 and very difficult to install, but did it. Exhaust manifold to engine gasket bad. $20 and very difficult to install. Rubber gators over CV joints, cheap, but very hard to install. Advice: watch Youtube video's, take your time, and don't get aggravated, I told you its difficult...Plus all the plastic fasteners and parts are dry and brittle after 17 years.

Frenchtown Auto is a nice place to buy a car. The cars look good and drive nice. They offer options and will work with you on the price and any additions that you want to purchase. You have to stay on top of them with follow up and stay on them. If you follow up and its unpreparied call they can get a bit short, the owner is very nice. I had to take my car there after buying it with a problem and they fixed all the problems that the car had. They were very nice, but follow up is difficult.

Do your homework and research the vehicle of your choice. I bought the escape used in 2024. So far, no recalls and it was a great buy, and I love it. I have the 2.0 turbo 240 horsepower. I use premium gas, full synthetic oil and change the transmission fluid every 30 thousand miles. I also read that once you get to your destination, let the car idle for 10 seconds so the turbo has time to rid any excess output.

I bought my Equinox new off the lot in 2015 to be my winter driving car. I’ve had it for 10 years, and have driven it 60 miles round-trip in some of the worst winter weather in the lower 48 states. The Equinox held the road well on ice, in slush, and in deep snow on days that I was on the road before the snow plows. It has always been reliable and has never left me stranded. I’ve had no major issues in over 107,000 miles. I appreciate the cargo space which is much better than the newer models. I regularly recommend Equinoxes to my friends and family.

We did our part and looked over the vehicles inside and out, studied the provided Carfax reports, took them for long test drives, and researched them online before purchasing. Any questions or issues were explained and addressed with no problems. Bill went above and beyond to see that we were completely satisfied. Financing was very easy with our fair down payments and good to very good credit scores. We also had a mechanic look over both vehicles first, understanding that these vehicles are on the older side and are high mileage. Seems fair to realize that no one, not even an excellent mechanic, can anticipate what may happen (mechanically) after purchase. There was a basic 90 day warranty provided at no cost. And vehicles are (newly or recently) inspected before sale. To avoid any misconceptions, we read over the purchase agreement(s) thoroughly, and asked questions. Know and understand everything before signing! Finally, I'd like to say that we dealt fairly with them and they treated us wonderfully! I would definitely buy vehicles there again. P S. Already looking at one for my son who is in the market!

10 yrs 142K miles and nothing but pleasure for the money. We bought the 2.4 ltr with the six speed automatic. The two was not and option due to the CVT transmission. Nothing but normal maintenance. Great value at the time and still happy🏁

I have a 2013 ford escape se awd and just eclipse 213,000 miles !! Escape is still running strong! Had to do normal maintenance and enjoyed owning this car

I recently bought a Ford from this place and I'm super happy with it. A lot of these cars have high mileage but are inspected for at least 2-3 years so i'm sure if theirs any issue you'll have time to fix it. However they can be a bit pricey and overcharge so check kelly blue book to make sure your getting a good deal.

I never thought I'd own a Jeep in my lifetime, then five years ago I bought a used 2014 Jeep Patriot and was amazed by its fuel economy and reliability for a mid-size SUV. Then three months ago my sister needed a car, and I passed the Patriot along to her, so I began doing research to buy another used car for myself and found the 2014 Jeep Compass. Now I'm the proud owner of not one but two Jeeps! I fell in love with it because of its looks as it is "less boxy" than the Patriot and the interior is basically a replica of a car I'm already used to driving. Find it a little bit roomier than the Patriot, love the top of the gate spoiler and the headlights design as well as the focused (foglights?). I can carry a ton of stuff in the back specially since I added the retractable cargo cover for privacy and safety. I definitely recommend this crossover SUV, it delivers a ton for its value. Definitely money well invested.

I bought an Equinox 2.4L and it turned out to be great. My wife crashed it, but we traveled far away and it never let us down. It's very comfortable for long trips. Unfortunately, my wife crashed it, but the insurance paid us very well.

I've owned this truck/SUV for over 5 years now and spent 2 years trying to find one. I will replace it with a newer version shortly so I can add a factory towing hitch package. The diesel engine is tremendously strong (torque) and a lot more fuel efficient that the comparable gasoline engine. I've personally put almost 74,000 miles on it with negligible problems.

I love my car but 3 of my door handles on the outside have fallen off since I bought the car 5-30-2023 other then the handles I love my car.

I can’t say enough about this dealership and it’s owner. I’ve been searching for a nice affordable luxury car with low mileage and all of the Bells and whistles with no success. I would get to the dealership and experience bait and switch, undisclosed imperfections, astronomical fees, and dealers looking to only finance in order to make more money on the back end. What a nightmare. Luckily, I found Phillip on cars.com. He was upfront and VERY honest about everything. He treated me like a family member and gave me the car that I Needed, wanted and could afford with no added fees. Bought our '06 Tribute used w/ 145k miles. Purchased it just as a "local errands" car to keep miles off our '22 Mustang's odometer and leave my older Ford F250XL w/V10 parked because it loves fuel. Pleasantly surprised. Plenty of room for the two of us + our pit bull and luggage. Have used it for a few trips to Florida and to Helen GA. No issues, decent gas mileage and overall comfortable to drive. Not as easy on the body as some of the larger SUV'S, (Ford Expedition, Lincoln Navigator), but still comfortable and easier on the wallet when it comes to fuel, (and insurance), and insurance costs. Normally, we flip our older used vehicles every 6-8 months but the wife wants to keep this one awhile, she feels comfortable operating it. Went so far as to purchase a Thule cargo box for the roof rack to give us even more space. I think Mazda may have made a mistake discontinuing this model in favor of the smaller CX models.

Worked on this particular vehicle for years without major repairs. Recently got the opportunity to purchase. I quickly acquired it with no regrets. Exceptionally quiet and decent power. My only complaint is limited cup holders and front storage for items. Vehicle was much improved by Saab for styling and ride.
