I couldn’t wait to own the new model year and had to wait for months for it to be delivered. I love it. The exterior is gorgeous and interior is just enough for a 4WD SUV. The brakes are NOISY in reverse and quite embarrassing so I hope they fix that soon. It’s only in reverse and never in drive. Overall I give it a solid 4/5.

This review is based on 300 miles so reliability is really an unknown but I purchased based on Toyota's reputation. I was looking at larger SUV such as the Chevy Tahoe and Ford Explorer/Expedition. Reliability has become questionable on both so, I opted for my first Toyota. I have the SR5 which is the bottom trim level. It has all of the safety features and same engine as the other models. It's not a luxury SUV by any means but, it's functional, purpose driven and the cost was reasonable. You can go as high as $70K+ on some trims. I added 4WD to mine and it had a few small extras. Cost was MSRP and about $44.5K plus tax. The cabin is quiet, seats are comfortable. I did not get the third seat option. I prefer the large open space. On the topic of cargo area, Toyota left the third row side panels in place so, that eats up a little room. Also, the cargo floor has no underfloor storage, it's fixed. Infotainment is good, 8" screen is ample for most folk. Safety features seem good so far. Gas mileage is averaging 23mpg but, on a run at or below 70mph, you should get 25+ in eco mode and sensible throttle use. The engine seems to have a lot of power that kicks in at low RPM. Very nice. Lots. of plastic on the inside but fit and finish is good. No rattles so far. I did not purchase the car for 4WD activities but nice to have is stuck in the snow.

Customer service at sterling McCall is above & beyond grades. My Service advisor - Mr Adi Diaz is very knowledgeable, competent & goes above & beyond to make sure the customer is satisfied. He works around customers' schedule & makes sure all safety issues for the car are taken care of. He would give you lots of options even if you don't have the funds for repairs. MUST READ ALL: I recently visited several Toyota dealerships within a 10 mile radius of AUTONATION more towards the Lake Jackson area. While shopping around to buy and trade in a vehicle here?s something important I learned: not all Toyota dealerships are the same. They?re individually owned and operated so what one dealership tells you may be completely different just a few miles down the road. That was definitely my experience. AutoNation Toyota was the third dealership I visited and it was by far the best. Right from the moment I walked in the vibe was completely different. I wasn?t bombarded by 5?10 aggressive salespeople like I was at the Toyota dealership in Manvel. Honestly I feel bad for anyone going there without a strong will because the pressure was intense and uncomfortable. At AutoNation I was greeted respectfully and genuinely by Yoail (pronounced Joel) a kind and nonpushy salesperson who helped me right away. He brought in Samuel the manager who was just as considerate and worked with us to approve the numbers we had discussed. And shoutout to Chris in finance (from Chicago!), who made the paperwork process a breeze and actually enjoyable. What stood out the most is that they didn?t pressure me they didn?t try to upsell me on pointless addons and they gave me more for my tradein than the other places had offered. I felt like a real person here not just another number walking through the door. They even offered some great incentives that helped make the deal even better! hours ago NEW if you are looking for a Toyota, I highly recommend using Cedric at Toyota of Katy. I called him, told him what I was looking for, he went out in the rain, and got pictures and videos. Met me at the dealership the next day early before he was supposed to be at work. Started the process of purchasing a new vehicle. He explained everything in detail, very patient, very kind, as I was waiting for finance to be approved, he constantly kept me up-to-date. Answered all my questions in detail. I could not have hand picked a better salesman!!

Never felt pressured--really appreciated her honesty and patience explaining details of several options we had. She genuinely cared and was committed to meeting our needs and we feel much better knowing what is financially attainable and practical. Past experiences with other car dealerships for me have not been good and none come close to the great service she provided. Hope to lease a Corolla Cross or other hybrid soon as we're working to get our finances in order. Really appreciate her time showing the new hybrids available.
