Used Toyota 4Runner SUVs for sale near Potomac, MD

This is the first time I buy a car from a Jack Taylor Toyota dealership, and I had the best experience. Ebo Grant was very professional, patient and thorough. I felt absolutely no pressure and he made sure I had everything, and it was set up before I left. I med was also very helpful in the finance department, and Mike the manager. My first Toyota and I loved handling the team at Jack Taylor in Alexandria first class. Thanks to everyone who helped me, I highly recommend them if you want to buy a car.

This review is based on 300 miles so reliability is really an unknown but I purchased based on Toyota's reputation. I was looking at larger SUV such as the Chevy Tahoe and Ford Explorer/Expedition. Reliability has become questionable on both so, I opted for my first Toyota. I have the SR5 which is the bottom trim level. It has all of the safety features and same engine as the other models. It's not a luxury SUV by any means but, it's functional, purpose driven and the cost was reasonable. You can go as high as $70K+ on some trims. I added 4WD to mine and it had a few small extras. Cost was MSRP and about $44.5K plus tax. The cabin is quiet, seats are comfortable. I did not get the third seat option. I prefer the large open space. On the topic of cargo area, Toyota left the third row side panels in place so, that eats up a little room. Also, the cargo floor has no underfloor storage, it's fixed. Infotainment is good, 8" screen is ample for most folk. Safety features seem good so far. Gas mileage is averaging 23mpg but, on a run at or below 70mph, you should get 25+ in eco mode and sensible throttle use. The engine seems to have a lot of power that kicks in at low RPM. Very nice. Lots. of plastic on the inside but fit and finish is good. No rattles so far. I did not purchase the car for 4WD activities but nice to have is stuck in the snow.

I bought a new GMC AT4. I ordered it and while it took a few months, my salesman, Zak, and the Sales Manager, Josh, kept me posted along the way. The truck was just as a I ordered! Zak was very knowledgeable and walked me through all of the options. The entire sales team, including Jordan in finance, were very polite, helpful, and thanked me for my business.

I've owned this car for at least a year now. And the ride comfort is better than they say. It is on the road I'm impressed with the off-road. Ability of this vehicle. Love the looks and the style. I was actually looking for a truck. When I bought this but I'm glad I made my decision for the forerunner.

I dealt with Ali he gave me one of the best quote in the nation! He was so great and professional. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of getting my own financing first and then picking out the car I wanted. I wanted a 2022 Highlander but I couldnt get more money for it from my credit union unless I cancelled the loan I already had and re-applied for a higher loan. I couldnt stomach risking being left with no loan.

I’ve owned a 2022 Toyota 4Runner sr5 for around 2 years now and the whole time I’ve put that thing through basically xxxx, and it has never ever broken, or had anything wrong with it, it may not be considered a truck to some but it sure has driven better than any truck I’ve ever driven, the 4Runner is a beast

AWESOME experience!!! I traveled a little over two hours from Richmond to Vienna to purchase a new 2025 RAV4 because I couldn’t find it anywhere else in the state. The ones I located were taking advantage of low inventory levels and over charging the consumer. From my first communication with the internet salesman Muhammad, all the way to driving away in my new vehicle, this was hands down the most enjoyable car buying experience I’ve ever had!! The showroom is beautiful and clean and customer care is FIRST CLASS!!! HIGHLY recommend my salesperson Ahmad Al Faham, and the finance manager Aldo Ismail!! Just purchased by 3rd 4runner Limited. Love that Toyota is reliable and I like sitting up over looking traffic. Toyota's hold there resale value. I did not purchase the extended warranty, I've never used it previously and think it's a waste of money unless you pur a EV. Also, the dealership might try to get you to buy windshield coverage....it's already in my auto insurance coverage. Shop around for rates, usually a credit union has pretty good rates if your credit score is good. Dealerships generally run higher interest rates. Also, make sure you get 2 key fobs. Just offering some general buying tips.

Love my 4Runner but the only thing wrong with it is the KDSS problems that no one knows how to fix. Light comes on in the winter and starts leaking. Dealer replaced it once and they paid the $4, 000.00 because it was the first time that they had seen this. Now it almost winter and the lights coming back on.

This dealership has been refreshing. I was overwhelmed by the level of concern shown to me during my visit. I was most impressed with the price even when they had given me a unbeatable deal they tried doing even better then that! I've never experienced this level of service at any dealer! Just awesome. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

My wife drives this vehicle and she is a small gal. She said it fits her great and rides very smooth. Gas mileage isnt the best but she doesnt drive it everyday so its not a big deal for us .

The service department are very helpful and they take the time to explain what needs to be done and why.

I had a voodoo blue for 5 years, then unfortunately totaled it last week. I LOVED this vehicle…and I am a road rep that clocks thousands of miles monthly. Yes, it’s a bit of a gas hog, but it’s about the SMILES per gallon, not the miles per gallon. If you love a square body, uncomplicated icon of a vehicle…this is it. No other justification needed. I WILL be getting another. I’m a 4Runner fan for life!

I have yet to get this 2024 4runner TRD Pro stuck, and I have tried. Love this thing. Its already made it across the country and back. Ive had it since April of 2024 and about to break 20k miles. Had water to the bumper and mud to the frame and this thing keeps on ticking wheels keep turnin.

Steve from AZ with 2022 review...dude, you must have gotten one made on Monday or Friday as the saying goes. I'm on my 3rd 4Runner since 1995, and I am looking for another one now. Our oldest son totaled the 95 in 2003 in his senior year of high school, head on collision, and walked away without a scratch. We replaced it with a 2001. I rolled that one 2x in my 1st accident in Oct 2011. I got hit by wildlife and knocked off the other side of the road. I was doing good keeping it steady, but it wasn't slowing down, and I knew not to hit the brakes on the wet grass--I forgot my cruise control was on. So I rolled it 2x and hung upside down in the middle of a swamp until the police found me, but not a scratch on me. We replaced that one with a 1999, and I'm still driving it. It looks like xxxx cosmetically and the leather seats have been destroyed by the 7 rescue dogs that have been part of our family since 2012, but it has only stopped running once. I've had what I would call 2 major repairs on 3 4Runners. The brake booster and master cylinder last year on this 99, and some type of sensor down below the belt that caused a major oil leak and then it wouldn't start this past spring. The part was only $25, but I paid my mechanic neighbor $200 to do the repair instead of $800 for labor elsewhere. And it was already 23 years old and had 225,000 & 230,000 miles on it before those 2 things happened. And just FYI from an old lady, NEVER take a vehicle to a dealership to be repaired! I'm probably a bit older than you so I learned that lesson decades ago. Find a good independent mechanic and treat them like you do your Mama because they are an important person in this life. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with yours, but I have loved every single one of mine, and the thought of driving something else literally hurts my feelings. Hope you are blessed in whatever you drive now!

I received a loner vehicle while my 2014 ES 350 Mark Jacobson Lexus stayed overnite at Chantilly. I woke up today January 24 full of brightness started my loaner Lexus and off we went. I did one errand and was prepared to return the loaner. Engine refused to turn over. Called my Lexus service rep Hetty Stoner and turned me over to Lexus Roadside Assistance. Came with in 45 minutes and off we went to Chantilly. Constructive tips- please give a loaner with at least half tank of gas and inform customer as to start up procedure in every loaner vehicle. Weather permitting make sure all loaners have been cleaned and washed for eye candy effect. First cabin not log cabin. I love Pohanka Lexus. Amazing build quality…you can feel it in everything. The last of its kind. Buy one while they’re still around. Don’t buy if you’re concerned about fuel mileage. Trade off is drive it easily 20 yrs without replacing hybrid battery packs and CVT transmissions. Old school bulletproof reliability and quality.

We had a surprisingly (for me) good experience at Koons Chevrolet. Our salesperson Abdelilah was not pushy at all but informative. We never felt rushed, something that bugs me at a lot of car lots. Would definitely visit again.

One of the last SUV’s with a real 4x4 and towing capacity. The engine and transmission lasts longer than anything similar. Not the greatest mpg but this is greatly off set by reliability and longevity.

This vehicle is very expensive to repair/parts. I've been hit a couple times already and the paint alone is very expensive / orange is what it appears as..

Traded 2023 Highlander Ltmd AWD for 2024 4 runner because it was sadly disappointing. Chose 2024 4runner before they ruin it with the 2.4L turbo & electric motors the 2025 is suppose to get. Have a 2022 4runner we love so why not have another as our second vehicle. Both are TRD Off Road models and seem to go just about anywhere you dare with surprising results Everytime ! Good visibility,great comfort, enough room and safe & reliable.
