I have a 2007 toyota sienna and a 2020 Kia Sedona. I have also had different types of cars in the past, Subaru, Honda, Land Rover, Camaro. I need another used vehicle and I started doing a LOT of research and was going to go for a newer Camry, but by pure accident I discovered this 2014 Camry. To make it really short, I ended up purchasing one in mint condition with 30K miles. To make this review really short, I LOVE this Avalon. Same engine with the same AWESOME and bulletproof six speed transmission!!! I HATE the eight speed transmission in the new Kia Sedona. This Avalon is smooth and powerful. I did not want a four cylinder car. I have never driven an older Avalon model but I do believe people saying that car is smoother and more comfortable, but, my Sienna is also very comfortable and I have zero complaints with my new used Avalon. The handling and smoothness is just awesome and I feel it rides like half my Sienna and half my Sedona, meaning that it has a very nicely balanced ride. This car was just the right car for me.

I let Patrick my sales person know exactly what I wanted and needed in a new car. I was very specific about exterior and interior colors and amenities as well as safety and performance requirements. He delivered my car which was perfect to the last detail! He even took the time to explain all the ?bells and whistles? instead of telling me to look them up on YouTube! Purchased my 2021 during May- this car performs beautifully, the 300 horsepower car gets into traffic with such ease, the cabin room excellent- drove to Florida from New Jersey, felt like we drove only a few hundred miles, but we drove over 1500 miles one way-would drive this car without any hesitation. Plan to keep this car for many years. Great car but my 2019 Toyota Avalon Hybrid Limited got 42.4 mpg when new but only gets 35 mpg now. I'm 75 y/o and drive the speed limit always. Average 35 to 40 miles per hour. Does anyone know why. Dealer is no help answering this question.

Brought my 2022 RAV4 hybrid in for an oil change and some new wiper blades. Very much appreciate the ability to use service coupons for both those items and also grateful that they honor our military service with a discount as well. Our service advisor Gregory was on point and promptly notified me when my car was ready to go. I only leave at four on my overall rating because I got no less than two unsolicited phone calls and a text trying to get me to give up or trade my RAV4 before I even left the dealership.

We always buy Toyota for low maintenance and reliability. We just purchased a 3rd used for our daughter. We are overall very pleased...3 issues. 1. Toyota Entune - the BlueTooth media system is lousy and impossible to operate. Very disappointed with that. The front seat could be more spacious, and when the rear heater is in use, the middle console gets very hot. Overall, however, for comfort and dependability, we love this car.

Overall this car is reliable. The the material use to cover the door handles, cup holders and console is extremely poor quality. The covering on the door handles and console have literally dissolved and the fake crom on the cup holders has cracked and has sharp edges that can cut your fingers if drinks are not removed carefully. Very disappointed, quality not comparable to price of vehicle.

I bought a 2012 Avalon 2 years ago, my mechanic told me it was one of the most reliable vechicles on the market . I absolutely love the vechicle . My only complaint is that I’m 6’2 and it’s too low to the ground and my head nearly touches the roof when I’m behind the wheel. If this vechicle was a few inches higher it would be a luxury vechicle for a life time . I highly recommend this vechicle…

Purchased a used 2014, Limted Hybrid Avalon with 88K. This has every available option on it for the model year. The car rides great on the almost new Michelin tires. I will be driving any speed and the little green EV mode light will come on and the main ICE will just shut off. You don’t even know it. It’s nice going past gas stations and not needing gas only once a month.

This car is great. plenty of leg room and comfort for me and by passengers. 3 car seats fit comfortably in the back seat. The trunk is large and very good for strollers and my groceries. I have the sportier 2020 TRD and this is a flawless car (purchased a dealer car in '21 with 8k miles - I can prob sell it for nearly what I paid for it 4 years later). Roomy.. powerful relative to the price.. gas mileage is shocking.. routinely shows 31mpg on longer drives.. JBL sounds system.. People always asking me about it because of the TRD package. Looks great, drives great, Toyota reliability.. And now that they stopped making it, it's holding its value. If anyone wants a bullet proof car with a world class v-6 and a performance tune.. this is your car.

I have owned my 2005 Toyota Avalon since 2015 my "Silverfox" has 249,000 miles on her, yet she operates like new. Had a fender bender 2 yrs ago, got her fixed like new and will continue to pamper her. If the engine blows I"ll be looking for another engine, cause she's my reliable friend....IJS

This the 2nd avalon limited I have owned and I bought both "newly" used because of the low Miles and cost advantages. I have absolutely loved my 2019 Avalon Limited, it gets great gas mileage for a big roomy and comfortable vehicle, and came equipped with a lot of bells and whistles normally found on premium luxury cars. In my opinion, this car is by far a better "Value" than the Lexus ES models, yes, you can get the same features on the Lexus as you will find on the upper-end Avalons, but it gonna cost you a lot more. In making a decision to discontinue the Avalon line, Toyota has made a conscious decision to force those of us who love the Avalon to look at the Lexus ES 350 line in the future. So, it's gonna cost me more in the future to maintain the comfort level found on the Avalon. But, remember, Toyota owns both Lexus and Toyota.

My dad had a 2000 Avalon and I ended up getting a 2001 Avalon I love it it rides so smooth and so comfortable I just got it maybe 2 weeks ago it's 2022 my car is 21 yrs old and has 125,000 miles before this car I had a 2006 Volvo s60 and my 2001 Avalon is way nicer and def better car all around I hated the Volvo

The car is almost 25 years old and is exceptionally reliable. Have 380,000 miles on it and still change oil every 3k miles. Car gets very good gas mileage and rides very well. Cosmetically good but does have several minor dings and scratches. Interior very good for all the use its gotten over the years. Still have original exhaust system. Without a doubt the most reliable car I have ever owned.

I recently bought a Toyota Camry Hybrid from Sun Toyota. My experience was not short of wonderful. I drove off the lot with my new Camry Hybrid, and all my Bluetooth devices set up for me (thanks to Chris). I own a loaded 2019 touring that was purchased new from a dealership, here are some of my thought after nearly three years of ownership. The Avalon is exceptionally comfortable; A notable example is the seats which are wonderful supportive, and well bolstered. Design-wise the Avalon is modern and interesting from (almost) every angle, inside and out. The Avalon’s interior is well-designed with soft touch materials on all surfaces you’ll regularly touch. Upscale materials like aluminum mesh span the dash while perforated fabric and plush leatherette line everywhere else. The center console stack is ergonomic with physical buttons for everything: Excessive piano black plastic here is my only minor gripe. On the exterior, Avalon’s headlights are aggressively sculpted with daytime running lights that are distinctive. A futuristic, swoopy taillight features a lightbar-esk design that’s unlike anything else around. To address the massive, grill shaped, elephant in the room… The sophisticated exterior design of the car is marred by the immoderately large grill. Genuinely, my only issue with the car’s design anywhere is the grill: It’s frustrating that the grill is the ONLY, albeit massive, issue. The black mesh on touring trims is somewhat better looking as compared with the limited trim but it still shows it’s size from front views. Now moving on to thoughts on performance. I’ll be blunt, the Avalon is not sporty by any measure other than it’s looks; however, is speed what you really need? I personally brought the Avalon to have a comfortable, quiet, and reliable commuter car: this car is just that. I think that middling performance is an acceptable trade off for a creamy-smooth v6 engine that’s not needlessly loud anywhere along the rev range, and that is proven to outlast nearly everything else on the road. When it comes to value, it’s a tough sell for the higher trims (limited and touring). If you want a sporty large sedan, the charger or accord sport turbo is a better sports car; If you want a reliable and luxurious large sedan then the lexus es carries the lexus name for only a couple thousand more. I think the Avalon fills a niche for people who want more space, luxury, and style than something like the Camry, and don’t want to spend luxury car money on a well-equipped lexus es. Final thoughts: The Avalon is definitely not for everyone with it’s *ahem* “distinctive” styling but Avalon is the perfect balance of everything important to me in a car: Reliability, comfort, modern styling. If I total my car tomorrow, I’d probably buy another Avalon; though probably the xle trim the next time around.
