Bought the '12 used with 30k miles on it 9 years ago. It now has 187k and is running great. Regular oil changes and typical maintenance, brakes, tires, etc. The AC did go last year and was fixed. Car is plenty cargo spacious and has been used to move many items, furniture, building materials etc. The only thing I'd like better from it is brighter headlights. If a HIghlander has been maintained I'd not hesitate to pick up a higher mileage used one and expect many more miles.

I've always loved the look and feel of a Toyota Highlander. But I never thought I could afford one. I found my Highlander at Alton Toyota, Alton, Il. and fell in love. I asked about the price and I couldn't believe it was right in my price range. I test drove it and it was love at first drive. Everyone from the Sales-person, finance and even the Technicians. were friendly, helpful and answered all my questions. They even went above and beyond making sure I got the best loan that fit me. I love my highlander and just got back from Myrtle Beach SC, driving round trip. It is so fun to drive and all the room is unbelievable. Sometimes the salesman really makes all the difference in the world. I've hated car dealerships since I was a kid. So When my car was totaled by a dude paying no attention for his yield left turn, I was very unenthused to make my way to energy auto sales to look at used cars within the budget of the insurance replacement. We came looking for a sedan of similar capabilities to the car I lost but it was square peg round hole enough that even Vasco, energys sales guy picked up on it. But this is where a great salesman made all the difference in both our experience and my opinion. Vaso listened to our story, really listened, and conversed with us until he found us in a suv. If someone'd told me that I'd be leaving with an suv I'd have laughed at their absurdity. But Vasco listened, Vasco suggested, and he was right. My wife had wanted an SUV for years, but it never felt like the right time. Now she has left happy with a dream come true, I have left happier as it feels like I'm not an the exit side of this accident (that i couldn't have avoided) with a car payment for something equal or lesser to what I had already paid off prior to the accident. And all for a price and experience that took very little time and an immensely pleasurable sales experience without all the balancing on a pole and haggling like a saudi market. If I ever find myself having to purcahse a car again in the near future, I'll be coming back to energy auto. The hour drive is well worth not feeling like I'm negotiating with a coyote.

We switched from 4Runner to Highlander! Many years of Toyota loyalty in our family. Camrys to Tacoma’s we have had them all. I stole my wife’s 4Runner away from her and replaced it with a 2021 Highlander XSE. It’s been awesome. Bought it brand new. We just hit 65k. We drive from northern Idaho to Scottsdale Az all year and at anytime. Yes, anytime. AWD Snowmobile. It’s awesome in the snow! 22-28 MPG on the Hwy. For those worried about driving a wagon looking vessel around that does not have the great looks of the 4Runner? Don’t worry about it. The XSE has a great looking front end. The XSE Model handles great and boogies. Yes, it’s quick and drives like a sports car. Well, it handles well not quite a sports car. Don’t get the regular Highlander. XSE looks different, has the JBL stereo and drives great. AWD with a Snow Mode. Oh, and it had a third row for little ones. Reliability - been amazing. Zero issues.

I bought this car new in 2008. I have nothing bad to say except the paint start flaking after about 5 years. I should have taken to dealer over paint issue. My car only has 65,000 miles and paint is completely gone. I am in the process of a new paint job. Seems my issue was the clear coat in the paint. I have owned 6 other Toyotas, all bought new. This is only 1 with this issue!

I was bogging in my moms car and offroading mudholes and all it was going fine till it hydro planed into a tree either than that amazing I would look into that though

I spotted a car I was interested in on Craigslist and came in to check it out. I was immediately presented with the CarFax and allowed to see the car. I live 2.5 hours away and was able to place a deposit and set up a day to finish the sale. My sales associate, Chase, was professional and responsive to emails. He had my paperwork ready to go when I arrived, and it was quick and easy (though I hope I'm not doomed to being hounded by the third-party extended warranty provider). I did not have an outside inspection done on my vehicle (the service records in the CarFax were pretty complete), but someone asked about having one done while I was there and it didn't seem to be a problem. I am happy with both my vehicle and the purchasing process.

My 2003 Highlander is now 20 years old and has been in our family the whole time. 260,000 Miles and this beautiful car runs like new. I love the power of the V6. I love the ride and the FWD does great in the mountains. I love the reliability. I love the tape deck! I frequently drive rental cars that are brand new that I don't like nearly as much as this 20 yr old Highlander. Amazing reliability and a joy to drive.

Large doors and front seats. Easy to get in and out. You have to pull past the protective bollard at the gas pump as to not ding the edge of the door. A lot of safety bells and whistles for an older car. Can tow with the best and high enough to take fishing and hunting. Good power. Feels safe in winter driving with in reason. If it gets icy or the snow gets over 5” I stay home. Operational noise is not annoying even when pulling into traffic or down shifting going up a steep hill. It gets almost 21 miles per gallon. I have no intention of spending thousands more on a vehicle to get better gas mileage. It’s paid off. I’m retired and put about 8000 miles a year on it. It still runs like new. I would love to keep it as long as I can. It also can haul pretty much everything I need.

We have owned our Highlander since about 42K miles, it now has 136k. The car has been wonderfully reliable and the batteries (now 16 years old) seem to still be working quite well. We get about 25mpg, maybe one or two less than when we first got it. While maybe not sexy, the first-gen Highlander Hybrid is a super well-engineered car. Our years in this tight, quiet, comfortable, spacious vehicle have been great. Biggest problem is we can't find a modern car we like enough to replace it!

I traded in my 2016 RAV4 Limited for the Highlander XLE. Primarily for the ride. We had to give up some features such as seat positioning and closeness sensors available on the Rav4. The 2019 Highlander has a V6 that is well reported on and gives us the performance we need. Our ride has definitely improved on the Highlander.

Outstanding care that we received for normal service and brake fluid change. Battery was replaced as it found to be dead at inspection. Service Manager Andre was outstanding and super careful in addressing the issues. Thank you Klein Honda He is a real asset to the Dealership

This is my second Highlander. The first was a 2008 model and still in the family running great. This model has also served me well. I have 75,000 miles on it. I bought new tires at 60,000 and just had the battery replaced 3 weeks ago. The car runs great!
