It's not the fastest, or the most luxurious, but a 2003 Toyota MR2 Spyder is a rear engine RWD headturner, that is a joy to drive, especially curvy or mountain roads. Most people dont know what it is, but they sure like it. Storage is minimal behind the two seats. Remove the spare tire to get a little more. Pack light, Get the top down, Hit the road, and Enjoy.

Only drive this car for fun on a sunny day. Short road trips are best due to the stiff suspension. Rides and handles like a go cart due to transverse mid engine design. 6 speed SMT (sequential manual transmission) is unique in a street car. It is an automated manual transmission. Lift off the gas, bump the shift lever up or down to shift gears, foot back on gas. When you come to a stop automatically shifts into 1st gear. Unique exterior styling, some like it some don't. Very limited luggage space in front trunk and behind the seats. Standard with a soft top only. Fun sporty car with Toyota reliability.

Everything went perfectly. From arrival to departure. I ordered a new Key FOB from the Parts Department, they called when it had arrived, made a WEB appointment, all very easy. I was greeted promptly and taken care of by very friendly people. When the job was done, I was helped to use my reward paints toward payment. The job was completed much faster than I had expected.

I love convertibles. There is something about being able to drive a car with the top down that just thrills me. My first convertible was a 1972 VW Karmen volkswagen super beetle. I loved that car. It was pure fun. My husband bought a Porsche Boxter a few years ago and that is a fun car as well. But it wasn't mine. I wanted my own convertible sports car. So I test drove a few, including a Solstice. I fell in love with the Toyota MR2. It just felt good to drive. It was like we belonged together. I bought it this past autumn and even got to put the top down a few times. I like driving it even with the top up. But I am really looking forward to spring and summer. It's not a car you want as an only driver as it doesn't have any cargo room really. I took the spare tire out so I can do small grocery shopping trips. This is my fun car. I still keep my Dodge Intrepid for road trips and bigger shopping trips. I'm happy with my little car. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fun little car to drive. And it's a Toyota so it's very well made.

My MR2 Spyder is the most exhilarating and fun car to drive. Reliable, head turner, classic. Fire Engine Red, I find the rear engine design awesome, and the acceleration and handling amazing.

Looking for one of these for couple years on Cars.com. Great website as we all know. Purchased 2003 MR2 Spyder from private party outside Chicago last month and couldn't be happier. So, I've reached that age, and hairline where all good men decide to buy a roadster. I started my search with the MR2. After having a 4Runner (the mule) for many years, I am convinced that the Toyota reliability is no myth. However, I was tempted to go the Boxster, Z3, Z4 path. After having a Z4 fall off of the market before I could get out to see it, I began looking back at that MR2 that started my search. I called the owner, and arranged the test drive. Then I bought it on sight. Sure there are more powerful roadsters, but it isn't about that. It is about fun. This is one fun little car. It is remarkably comfortable as well. I'm not sure how, but the seats are road trip worthy, and leg room is ample. You don't feel confined. I will say that there is no dignified way of getting into or out of the vehicle. Then again, as a middle aged, bald, white guy - dignity isn't my first concern. Anyway, if you have the opportunity to buy one of these, you really should. It is just a fun piece of solid engineering.

My daughter wanted to buy her first car by herself. I could not have been more happy with how things turned out. They were amazing, she got a great car for a very reasonable price. The transaction was smooth with no attempts to upsell her. They even educated her on the paperwork and process as they went along. Not just shuffled it around in front of her. They even explained the process with the BMV of getting her plates and showed her exactly what paperwork she needed to take with her. When she did have a problem with the car about a month after she bought it, they told her to bring it back and took care of it. I would highly recommend Greg's.

Lots of fun, head turner, reliable (it's a Toyota after all). I gives you the sensation of an exotic with the mid-engine setup. Some people actually mistake is as a Ferrari! It handles like a go kart and will always put a smile on your face when driving it. I have the turbo engine, so it's got the power too, with an extensive aftermarket and great community to get help or ask questions.

This car is super fun! Love the styling. Very Comfortable for even taller people. It sits low and hugs the road. A/C is nice with the top down. Wind screen is nice to keep the wind out of the interior. Nice locking space behind the seats. Fits a few groceries. Stereo radio/ CD works well.

The car is equipped with drains in the storage area behind the seats. Once these get clogged, water will pool there. Toyota does not mention these drains or how to clear them in the Owners Manual. These are pretty easy to clear once you know how. Research this on Spyderchat.
