I bought a high mileage (290,000km) 2005 Rav 4. Ive owned it 4-5 years (so far) and put over 60,000km on. It's been so reliable and comfortable. In 5 years all I've had to do was replace battery, regular oil change, and spark plugs. The suspension is starting to give in some parts now but all these years I've had no issues. AC is still ice cold. I've gone a few road trips. I'm so grateful for Toyota and their reliability.

I had researched small/compact SUV vehicles in their respective class. Toyota known for reliability and quality for the price was on top of my list. It took me a years time to have gotten lucky enough on a trade in at a local dealer. My timing was right on as when I arrived l looked it over before speaking with a rep. I overheard employees saying that the RAV4 Sport v6 check all the boxes and was a unicorn in and out. The owner must have taken a hit which after test driving it, it was straight as an arrow with minor slight blemishes for a 8 year old vehicle. I knew to make an offer, which was listed at $15,500. It was the end of the month, so it was approved to sell at $1000. Off if I took it that day. “Deal” and ever since driving it away with my temporary papers, I knew I found the SUV 4WD I’ve been looking for. Right place, right time. I still have it and it’s a workhorse, and have put about 15k on it to which It had 60k when I purchased it. Great buy, and say goodbye to v6 engines as the car companies need to go green and the future is about EV.

I've owned dozens and dozens of car and this one has impressed me the most. Tons of power from the V6, typical Toyota reliability, very ergonomic, and very capable. I've hauled weight in this thing that would rival any truck and pulled a trailer that was double it's load rating. Bought if off a friend with 167,000 km....now at 268,000 Replaced front calipers otherwise its been problem free. Don't get a lot of snow but handles beautifully when we do get it. Haul my 2 kayaks on the roof racks all over the place.

I like Toyota.. However, living in AZ, you don't get the correct information about the recalls they have. I've been trying to get this information since I purchased the. car, 2018. I just wish Toyota would have answered the letter I sent them.

My only issue is it uses a lot of oil they had a 2008 recall on oil consumption they did not do anything for the 2009 with the same. Uses a quart every 500 miles. Bad lower rings, Toyota knew that in 08.
